Some of these players have played for a very long time, we are talking like waaay before there was even decent prize pools.
Can barely imagine their love for the game, to retire from such a thing is not as easy as "guess I'm not the best anymore" or even "I'm just decent".
Don't think it has anything remotely to do with being scared.
But sadly many kids always think "not top 5 team = should retire".

For sure yeah. Let's pick Fallen as an example. He's trying to grab as much money as possible before do it.
Look at the shit events they have attended...and I'm saying that cuz he already had commented in some interviews that he plans to retire in one or two years, it depends on the lvl he'll be playing. He's focusing and bringing some brand new products to his shop as well, which means he's preparing himself for the retirement.
It's reasonable to think like that, but sad for who are cheering for them.
