How can you be afraid to retire i dont get it
2019-03-29 19:29
probably they are afraid of being forgotten or maybe some cash there is behind that?
2019-03-29 19:30
Players like pasha and neo would never been forgotten, Pasha earns money from stream and neo could easily coach or become analyst . They would just rather player tier 3 cs than retire and there is nothing wrong with that
2019-03-29 19:34
soo maybe they still think that they are valuable in game/not only either as a coach or streamer?
2019-03-29 19:36
Thats what i said that they would just rather play tier 3 cs than retire
2019-03-29 19:44
What would you rather do? Play in qualifiers, play the game you have passion for and compete (something you did all your life) or just stand behind some players or just play at home but on stream? It's their hunger and passion for the game that keeps them with it not the level they present

Let's see how long can he keep MIBR alive! Not saying that he is the only one playing in the team, there are more talented players in it but he is like the soul of the team and really loves esport not just CS.
2019-03-29 19:49
Some of these players have played for a very long time, we are talking like waaay before there was even decent prize pools. Can barely imagine their love for the game, to retire from such a thing is not as easy as "guess I'm not the best anymore" or even "I'm just decent". Don't think it has anything remotely to do with being scared. But sadly many kids always think "not top 5 team = should retire".

For sure yeah. Let's pick Fallen as an example. He's trying to grab as much money as possible before do it. Look at the shit events they have attended...and I'm saying that cuz he already had commented in some interviews that he plans to retire in one or two years, it depends on the lvl he'll be playing. He's focusing and bringing some brand new products to his shop as well, which means he's preparing himself for the retirement. It's reasonable to think like that, but sad for who are cheering for them. TL;DR Fallen will retire in the end of the year or next year. He's trying to earn as much money as possible. His company is getting bigger, in order to prepare himself for the retirement.

Why don't chess players necessarily retire in their 30s? There's your answer
