Alternative to Lenovo Carbon X1 for coding

I just got my X1 6th gen. and I am so disappointed at how noisy it is. The fan starts at the slightest activity on a clean Windows install, and the fan produces a high pitched noise that is driving me insane. It helps to put it at cool & quit in Lenovo vantage, but only slightly. Newest bios is installed, and I have enabled all the power-saving features in bios. I'm going to undervolt it and repaste it if I keep it but right now I'm looking at alternatives and thinking of returning it. I had on-site repair on the laptop but the new fan that replaced the former was just as terrible at producing the terrible high pitched sound. I am looking for alternatives to the X1 and I need recommendations. Usage: Coding, browsing, reading PDFs and no gaming. Priority: Battery life This is my most desperate hour. Help me hltv users, you are my only hope.
