Communists come

You guys keep saying that real communism hasn’t been tried, but shouldn’t it be a sign that real communism may not work if everyone attempting communism has failed to do it ”correctly”?

because capitalist (aka the USA) have infiltrated every time and destroyed every chance for success just look at Vietnam or Cuba or any other country in the last 60 years USA has used CIA to support fascist groups/ guerillas to counter communism is these countries...

That’s a pretty easy excuse to give for anything: someone else sabotaged it. In the case of Vietnam I can certainly agree that the US had a big influence in ending communism there, but for example in Cuba the US was the only major country to have an embargo on them, yet it still didn’t work

I understand that they have operations around the world, but blaming the failure of communism solely on the CIA is ridiculous.

Because it's a theory

But it’s a theory that won’t work practically?
2019-04-15 13:56
Yes, that's what it means. When you are faced with absurdity and injustice, you refuse to accept your existence and instead seek to remake the world. Validating revolt as a necessary starting point, you justify a violent revolution, since communism will inevitably lead to murder. In essence, communism is both nihilistic and degenerate, since it justifies murder as a necessary tool for social and political improvement.

I agree with you, at least to a degree. I think that in the end it comes down to human nature. I believe that humans are in our essence greedy, and could never live and help each other like ”real communism” would require us to do. I also question whether communism would bring social improvement for most of the population in for example the western countries, where realistically there aren’t a lot of actually poor people.
2019-04-15 14:09
That's also another point to be made, that humans aren't the tame and submissive cows that communism would want them to be. It would be a slave like existence if people actually lived under a communistic regime, since you would have to give away all your possessions and property to a single entity, which would oversee the "just" distribution of those articles of property. Also there will always be some form of corruption, no matter what sort of ideology your regime is promoting, because like you said, people are greedy.

So basically if you could be the elite in a communist(?) country, you would be fine with it but otherwise no

indeed. Although it is said that north koreans are generally happier. Dunno, whats more important. South Korean luxury or North Korean happy

Your question is interesting in principal: whether happiness or luxury is more important. However, in the case of N. Korea it doesn’t really work, since they can’t really be trusted with their own polling.
2019-04-15 15:12
its the North Korean defectors that say it
2019-04-15 16:20
rather the scientific elite in North Korea. Not the other shizz

Real communism was tested and implemented successfully. Soviet Russia and Communistic China are the great examples of its efficiency. Great idealogy for down home people.

So you differ from some other communists in the sense that you think the SU for example was a succesful implementation?
2019-04-15 14:17
Obviously it was, one of the best time periods for the country. A number of peaks in many fields.

 |
Korea XigNGODtop1
But do you think that the peaks came because of communism or rather despite it? Because the second world war destroyed quite a lot of the world, which meant that it was easier for for example the SU to hit the peaks, because the starting point was low and new technologies were being implemented everywhere.
2019-04-15 14:29
It wasn't a mankind's evolution, it was a national growth. Exclusively for the Soviet Union, the country saw birth of a countless new ways in science, arts and social constructs. It reached the peak of what was started way before that, war hardened the people and gave a kick to strive and achieve and they did.

It had definitely something to do with the evolution of mankind, because everywhere else same sort of advances were made as well. Basically every country in the world has achieved their peak in regards to science at least after WW2. I’m not discrediting the things that happened in the SU, but questioning the influence that communism had over them. Another point has to be made about the general living standards of normal people living under communism in the case of the SU or China. In both of the countries, a lot more people lived in poverty than what was the norm in the western countries.
2019-04-15 14:40
Living conditions are relative, if you are innocent in life there will never be a perfect condition or the worst one possible. Those with no money are more happier and humane and those with are more popular and praised. Both got what makes them happy. And the difference between the Soviet Union and the world is that Soviets had to evolve in a demon speed during war and forcing progress with good intentions. It worked and they were in the worst position out of all major forces and they managed to jump higher than anyone else. That's what it is.

But China is a Capitalist country with some sort of socialism.
2019-04-15 14:21
It used to be more communistic before, especially during Mao reign.
2019-04-15 14:23
By Marx's own definition, they weren't Communist.
2019-04-15 14:42
They definitely knew better and they enriched that way with actually working ideas and became the top communist country.
2019-04-15 14:45
Maybe you can argue the definition of Communism has changed over the years.
2019-04-15 14:53
I pickle kick Marx himself would write a sequel to his book just by spending holidays in the Soviet Union, I'm telling you.
2019-04-15 14:55
There is one example(very good example) in Turkey but the city that they are leading has a small population.

tell me how the russia turned form a feudal society to a superpower competing in the space and nuclear race as a communist state???
2019-04-15 15:14
Socialism =/= Communism And stop saying that Communism is the reason the USSR turned into a superpower, because it isn't (and neither is socialism).
2019-04-15 15:15
wasn't the one reason, but socialism in the early days in the USSR saw them improving the % of literate people by the bunches and greatly increased access to education, which would later pay dividends as their science reached heights it never would have even if the romanovs had somehow turned russia into a superpower (obviously, joining 15 countries together also helps)

The same way the whole world went. Sure, they weren't necessarily at the same starting level, but it doesn't mean that Communism was the reason.

Communism is just like religion. Seems great on paper, but fails terribly in real life.

cuz it requires a huge ass overhaul in the world system or you'll just have a bunch of capitalist countries sabotaging you from day 1 like you had in the USSR. And when one of those countries just so happens to have a GDP like the USA and it forces you to spend a lot of money on military, your chances to profit on the long term get quite smaller
2019-04-15 15:32
Goal of communism is to create a country without any government and have every resource that would otherwise be private, distributed in an egalitarian manner China failed as the government still remained. Maoist Communist encourages the government to integrate with the people, but the Great Leap Forward failed miserably. China was able to rebound after changing their system further to deter even further from communism, providing an otherwise nonexistent incentive to the process (keep in mind incentive, it is important) Russia failed because lenin-communism encourages a government and states that the government should look after the people. This conflicts with the model of marxism and therefore is not real communism. Without incentive, stripped as a default by the communism manifesto, people do not feel obligated to do any task. No matter the circumstance, communism is just a gilded ideal that can never be executed.
2019-04-15 15:46
At least China is a half Communist half Capitalism country.I dont care how you guys define it.If system work well then it is good.
