What are you talking about??? games went from taking advantage of 2 cores to 6 now , thats a 300% increment in taxing.
Remember , in 2011 you could still do very well for 1080p gaming with a fucking core 2 duo , the mid end i5's were dual core (i5 650) still , the massive leap occured after the 8th gen consoles release , by 2015 Arkham Knight AC Unity and other AAA multiplats were out and you NEEDED a Quad Core to do well in those.
Crysis 3 was a massive outlier.
And that was a shit ass console gen , their cpu's were sooo weak .... imagine NOW that the ps5 and next Xbox are gonna be based on Zen 2 and will not be low end at launch.
