He never said that he would think HLTV is a school. He was asking for a tips, not a education.

The method to lean French is highly different than learning English. Don't believe what you read. Most of words have silent letters, sometimes multiple or even a majority of silent letters. Also in almost 50% of the sentences people do there's specificities that aren't applying to the grammar rules. So the best way to learn it is by imitating French people. Learn expressions and short sentences at once to get use to what people really say.

I would recommend -to watch fr movies with english/russian or whatever langage in subtitle -read any kind ob book interesting you but in french, note words you don't get and look for translation -watch YT videos of foreigners already learning fr sharing their experiences -just travel in France and find fr persons to speak with on a daily basis nothing really tricky here but it should be a good begining at least.
2019-04-18 08:16
"travel in France" That part is difficult i guess lol

It depends, just pack your bag and reserve a ed in a youth hostel. Get a job as a dish washer in a restaurant and spend your free time meeting new friends and drinking wine with them. If you spend time with locals and force yourself to try as hard as you can to chat with them in French you will learn fast. 3 or 4 months and you'll have proper conversations. 1 or 2 years and you'll speak good French.

I hate french because we got trolled hard in school from the baguettes. "french german friendship" they said. "border region, grow up with 2 languages" they said "europe = germany+france" they said "all frenchs in the border region learn german too" they said we learned french like the idiots and when the frenchs from our partner school visited us, we found out that they learned shit! they learned how to say their name in everything was a big lie fcking frenchs!

"Germany + France = Europe" Expected by baguettes and bratwursts to be this egocentrical.
2019-04-18 08:54
thats a french idea, dont blame germany. german idea = " germany = europe". but in order to the reunifcation 1990, we had to promise the baguettes that we include them (because germany had low trust factor, you know)

Français n'est pas difficile à mon avis Just install Duolingo app, choose French and go
2019-04-18 09:52
I dont like that method It has no "speaking part" in it
2019-04-18 17:10
You mean communication with native speakers? Go to reddit then. R/france, r/besoindeparler, r/francelibre etc
2019-04-18 18:07
Never thought about that, ill try that
2019-04-18 19:01
You must have at least a2 french for it
2019-04-18 20:00
But you need a good base to talk with native speakers at that serious subs. And duolingo is the best way to get it
2019-04-18 18:17
The most difficult parts are grammar and verb conjugating system imo For the grammar, just start with subject verb complement like in english (it's not so far from english tbh) For the verb conjugating... Well good luck with that, it's tough and most of the french people don't even master it To start, you can learn the 2 first verb groups, because it's always the same method But for the 3rd group, it will only come with experience I guess And vocabulary is just vocabulary, there's no shortcut :<

Learning French on your own is a bitch. You need a teacher or someone to ask questions to and explain. It just makes it so much more easier.

It’s a lot harder to learn languages as you go along tbh just gotta persevere with it. If you picked up English fast just do the same as you did for learning English to learning French. Might take longer but you’ll get it
2019-04-18 19:08
I had a thought about that I was learning it by watching several english speaking youtubers and streamers,it took me about 3 month to polish it to perfection, even by my accent you cant tell whether im from Russia or somewhere else Im unsure about french in that way

To be fluent in a language, the most important part is the verbs, so you need to learn how to conjugate everything. To do that, a good tip is to learn entire sentences with different verbs, for every tense. They need to be very specific sentences, not "Paul va à l'école", it's so generic that your brain is not going to remember conjugation just from this sentence. Of course you could just learn all verbs at every tense like a robot but I'd say that writing jokes or funny sentences at different tenses is gonna help you remember the important verbs, as well as how sentences are built. And then, when speaking, it should be easier to say what you want without having to visualize the whole conjugation tables in your head. You'd just need to change words from the funny sentences you've learned, and the sentence would most likely be built correctly. I'm using this method now for italian and I'd say it's working, however french is closer to italian than russian. But I'd say it could work for you.
