Best Way to Train mechanics
 |
France LanaRhoades
What's the best way to train mechanics on cs:go ? Like how to do fast peeks , little peeks , have a good aim , nice movements , nice crosshair placement. Just being fluid. Should I make more surf , KZ ? Are arena 1v1 servers good to train aim and movements ? Is Deathmatch really good ?? Because when i play it , i feel it's useless it trains nothing at all. (Same for retakes and executes). But everyone recommend it. Tell me pls

About actually working as a mechanic
2019-04-18 11:12
imo playing 1v1 servers is much more useful practice than 20 man ffa dm spawnkillfest or tapping heads on bots that are standing still

Agreed because there is boxes , crates and it trains so much your ability to win duels , to brain your opponent , to have a GOOD clutch ability. And to train your aim and peeks. It's underrated

No lol , during 2 monthes i made 1500 kills each day on it + 300 kills on deathmatch and nothing has changed... It's useless imo

I feel like just grinding MM/Faceit is the best way. Having good Aim on 1v1 maps or DM is one thing but transfer that into real matches is a completely different story

It's true that after doing DM i'm not even warmed up. And i think i played like 1000 MM games + 200 faceit games. I'm enough experienced. But i used to have a very good AIM with an high sens in 2015. In 2016 i stopped play. I played a bit during 2017. But after september 2017 my PC died and i haven't PC since january 2019. And since january i'm fucking MGE i don't improve , i'm fucking level 3 faceit and my AIM is fucking bad with 1.15 sens and 800dpi. (Before i had 1.4). And i remember that before i never did DM cuz my PC was bad as hell. And i was better. So i think i just need to go in 1v1 nexus nation , do just a little bit retake executes. And just do KZ , surf to train my movements.

Maybe because i stopped playing between 2016 and 2019 ??. Btw i reached supreme in 6 monthes in 2015 , in 700 hours. And since i restarted i don't do many pugs cuz it doesn't make me improve my movements and mechanics.

The sentence "i have been playing since 2015" means that you have been playing this game since the year of 2015 without any pauses. The only way to get good at this game is to play pub games and dm/aim botz/aim maps combined. If you really want to improve in a short period of time you should play at least 4 pub games and spend 1 hour on some aim map per day.

Ok dude I know I’ve compared how we’ve played before but what the fuck. I play on 1,15 and feel like I used to aim better at 1.5. We have same play style and exact same sens wtf men

I feel like warming up on KZ is way better than warming up on dm. Kz helps me warming up accurate slow flicks and fast flicks, while dm is just aiming everywhere trying to get kills, and its fun and all but after dm with all that action, playing a pug just seems boring and I cant concentrate properly. idk how to explain xD

Yep , i think i should do that more often , i just did that 1 or 2 times but it's very useful for crosshair placement +1.
2019-04-18 11:25
I like the basic aim_botz map for aim. Put boxes on and go out of the centre with no clip and try to shoot the bots from the back and then go back to centre and close of 3/4 walls and just try to get fast hs. The dm. For movement idk maybe kz

I don't like aim_botz anymore because i feel it's useless even making 1500 kills each day was useless.

Might feel like it but thats the way you get the fine mechanics into your muscle memory, by drilling those kinds of things.

I think i will do KZ for 30mn + 10mn aim_botz + 20/30mn HS DM + 10/15mn 1v1 server + 40mn of warmupserver dm each day.
2019-04-18 15:51
What about finding the ones that really fit you and you feel make you better the fastest and consentrating on those

It's all about how much time you spend in game and how you spend it. AM (1v1) is a good way of practising peaking amd that stuff, DM movement, DM HS movement+aim, retake and executes to learn spots that cts/ts hold and cts come from on retake and ts attack on executes.

Yeah i think the same , in DM we should have an objective , like train A weapon , or 1 taps something like that , not to go on DM just to kill or warmup

I suggest that you do aim botz before matches, not anything serious, I personaly just go around and kill bots until i feel that my movement/aim is on poin of synergy, then i close 3 walls and just flick on one without moving, when i feel like my flick is good enough, i hop into retakes for 5-10 minutes, then I que for a game. Aim botz takes me 10 minutes max so 15-20minute warmup is a good number for me. If you play a shit game, and feel like your aim is garbage, hop into some dm, put on some music and kill everything in your sight.

If you feel like playing FFA DM doesn't help then you're playing it wrong. You probably play FFA DM as "Oh I'll just go in and kill people." but that's wrong, you should always have a goal. Do you want to train reflexes? Turn off sound and play FFA DM. Do you want to train flicks? Put your cross away from the normal placement and train flicks... Also, I recommend retakes just for chilling after you're done with playing for the day. Retakes create a lot of bad habits such as pushing in after plant situation as T, being too passive as CT, running through smokes, no brain plays, etc.. People playing retakes mostly care about the score in the server, not about training.

probably 1v1s fastest way to improve some of those, otherwise just play normal 5v5s. To improve aiming fast I'd say play on pistol servers cuz it requires more consistent aiming, assuming you already master spraying

My spray is.... I have a fucking bad habit , it's to crouch everytime i spray. And my spray when i stand still is shit , i have bad movements and strafes , but yeah pistol servers are goof

i subbed to the yprac workshop maps and i play the peek mode alot; usually switch between tapping and spraying only in each set of 60 bot kills I use this cache map the most because i play mostly cache steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetai.. he makes them for other maps too Although 1v1 servers are pretty nice too
2019-04-19 13:17
1v1 is pretty useless since most of the time you'll never have a clean 1v1 duel like in 1v1 aim maps 18ffa/warm up and offline practice with bots for 20minutes is enough kz is good too but i never do it

Everyone says me that. But it's not about that , 1v1 are useful as fuck , DM is useless imo , having too much players on server is useless. This is the worst way to improve
2019-04-18 13:18
that's why i said 18 men ffa/warm up cfg 1v1 most of the time is down to who prefires better so with high sens youll have an advantage over per say one that uses a very low sens and will be penalized but im not saying playing arena is bad just not the most efficient way of training actual cs much better some 18 men ffa and then some retake well if you actually are just learning the game mechanics now you can do whatever you think it's needed to improve im more talking of efficient short time warm up for advanced users

Just buy the AWP. It's the easiest way to feel like you're a god at the game without actually having any skill. Or if you want to learn CS the hard way and really improve, only use the deagle for a few months. It will force you to develop better aim and positioning to compensate for the weapon's weaknesses over time.
2019-04-18 14:22
Yeah totally this is it. Also put weights around your ankles when you run irl to get faster am I right? Thats how the pros do it, dont they?

theyre just normal community servers that host the competitive gamemode (not community servers that use a 3rd party match making system like esea, faceit or cevo) i suggest the baited network, fast admin response and pretty chill (you can leave anytime) baited.xyz (their website - you should be able to find their servers and discord there) I also suggest the X-Law network, basically the baited network but most of the servers are based in america so 🤔

Play yprac maps (yprac mirage, yprac cache etc...think theres one for most maps) In there theres a prefire mode where you practice preaiming the most common CT angles. Keep playing it until you get used to clearing each spot effectively and mimic it in pugs. This is imo a far more effective way to improve yourself rather than dming, in dm you just run around flicking your aim were as in this you build a habit of great crosshair placement and effective movement. You can include a bit of dm as a way of warming up your muscles, but killing bots works well for that too. Once you learn your brain each angle you should clear and make it a part of your muscle memory you will have an easy time destorying people. Good aim = consistent crosshair placement and no wasted movement, not wide peeking with insane flicks.

True mate , i do that but rarely , i think i'll do that 1 or 2 time by week on each map , (+ others things like surf , KZ , little bit aim_botz , pistol dm etc...)
2019-04-19 14:52
I would rather do surf or kz than dm. In dm you just get worn out and exhausted since you have to flick around like a maniac. Then when you load up a pug after dming for 35 minutes its completely different, i dont find that dm skills transfer to pug games. Kz and surf is more similar of an experience to a pug since you practice clean slow and steady movement which is alot more consistent. Sure u can do that in dm aswell but since everything is so fast i dont find it to be very effective.

UPDATE : i am level 5 , not being always topfragger but i feel i'm playing way better , i have a good impact IMO , better aim and better peeks , better strafes. My routine is to play 20-30mn KZ , surf sometimes , after i go on workshop maps for 20mn -1h depends on which maps i usually go in bot_training after i go to "fast aim reflex" after i go to yprac maps if i have the time. And sometimes i go 20mn DM , 1 day pistol and an other day normal dm. And after i make 1 or 2 PUGS.
