To be fair, a nice waterloop can give you quite a lot of headroom for overclocking if yiu need it, it cools ridiculously well. But in OP's case, with the CPU and the Motherboard, overclocking is probably not his intenion

I would wait for ryzen 3000 in may / june. if u can. if you wanna buy now depends on your money and which games @ which resolution you want to play but I would go for AMD anyway. AM4 socket will be supported at least until ryzen 3000 and you will save a lot of money. Intel chipset is dead. new cpu = new motherboard.

Seems good enough to me!
2019-04-18 19:59
Yes, it's a great config! I'd say about 300-350 fps
2019-04-18 20:03
Ty :)
2019-04-18 20:21
np enjoy, I'm jealous xd
2019-04-18 20:30
this will get 400 fps.
2019-04-26 21:43 Build is fine. You could save money and buy a Scythe Mugen 5 rev. 2 instead.

Its overkill for cs you will run with no problem
2019-04-23 14:15
France Esquinox
You need more than 500fps to be overkill in CS
2019-04-23 14:20

300 not enough ?
2019-04-23 14:21

It's hard to get enough actually

get 970 Pro SSD since they are the best
2019-04-23 14:21
I'd recommend 970 evo plus, cheaper and I doubt he's gonna notice a difference
2019-04-23 14:40
250-350 all time
2019-04-23 14:44
seems good :()
2019-04-23 14:47
What do you mean by good, I mean what are your expectations? Btw: The CPU sucks compared to the rest. You should spend a little more on the CPU and maybe on the mainboard aswell. If you dont have the money atm, either buy a different graphics card (1070 or something like that) or wait until you can afford it. Just dont make the mistake of bottlenecking your PC with that CPU, its most important to balance the cpu and GC.
2019-04-23 14:52
How is that CPU gonna bottleneck GTX 1660? by no means that CPU is more than enough. Stop spreading misinformation
2019-04-25 13:18
Do dont seem to know how the term works. If I say for example "The CPU bottlenecks the PC" or "The CPU is the bottleneck of your PC" it means the CPU is the weakest part (aka the least wide part of a bottle). In other words: The CPU is the weapkest part in his system.
2019-04-25 15:55
Lmao. People pair that CPU with GTX 1070 or RTX 2060 and there's no such thing as bottleneck with that i5. stop lying to yourself

This cpu is better than my i7-7700k, its more than enough for now even for other titles
2019-04-26 15:54
both shit

Shit is a i3-6100
2019-04-26 17:59
bro anything before 8th generation intel is really outdated on todays standards. this 9400f is an overpriced piece of garbage tho, I can't believe some people are willing buy instead of a 9600k which is almost the same price and far superior.
2019-04-26 18:01
Brazil Raco_br
The 2 cores diference between 7 gen to 8 gen is barely notice for gaming propuse, if you are a gamer developer you wont desigin a game for the latest cpu gen because most the game requires a high end cpu the fewer is the amount of players that can actually play the game. 4 cores is enough for at least more 3 years
2019-04-26 18:08
u wont have a fps below 200, if u have the budget buy 1660t,i if not it is still great pc for cs go.
2019-04-23 17:52
Brazil Raco_br
Actually a 1050ti would run without trouble stable 200-300 fps, I had a 1050ti lp and I manage to trade it for a 1060 and I had no fps change on csgo
2019-04-26 17:47
1050 ti is the worst value for money, its not worth it to buy it, and u cant have stable 200-300 fps unless u are playing mm, which is a joke in 2019.
2019-04-26 19:07
Brazil Raco_br
Gpu has no impact whatever the game mode you play, faceit or esea would require a better cpu because of the anti cheater and 128 ticks server, gpu has marginal impact on csgo performance But I agree the 1050ti is worthless nowadays
2019-04-26 21:43
dude just stfu with this bull shit that gpu has no impact on cs go. with i7 8700 gtx 1050 ti i had 150 - 300 fps, now with gtx 1070 i have constantly 300.
2019-04-26 22:36
Brazil Raco_br
Only true if you play on high settings, if you play mid/low you have no impact Like I said before I saw no real gains changing gpu comming from 1050ti
2019-04-27 01:46
Australia JAY_DAWG
about 250 fps if you're going to set res @ 800x600
2019-04-25 15:58
Australia tavalol
Honestly not amazing (probably wont get consistent 300) but should get 250+ all the time (I think the CPU might actually be a bottleneck thats why. looks like it has pretty bad single thread/core performance). Can for sure just go with a $30 air cooler and spend extra on a CPU
2019-04-25 16:02
Denmark dev111ce
250+ fps
2019-04-25 16:00
just get a 9600k ffs
2019-04-26 17:50
Why would you need watercooling with these CPU and motherboard?..
2019-04-26 17:56
bro... you need a gaming chair
