players to retire in 2019
Stars |
Denmark I_would_die_in_brunei
2019 is the last year for a lot of legends in professional, so many players are playing beyond the peek they got and are going to be kicked in this year, most of them will retire, at least from fulltime cs. get right zeus happy edward xist friberg gob b (not a legend at all but still to be mentioned) maybe 2019, maybe 2020: fallen rpk olof f0rest
2019-04-18 20:30
new era wtf
2019-04-18 20:30
Olof and Get_Right will not retire this year. Get right in the end of 2020 maybe but olof probably in 2021
2019-04-18 20:32
get_right is gonna get kicked for draken after sydney, inside info
2019-04-18 20:33
hope so! But I'd also wish to see pita kicked, half of the time he looks like scared nervous kid, half of the time sitting there daydreaming about the NIP era. GTR can stay as NIPs coach, GTR's aura/presence would already be more useful than pita's tactics which is the only thing he has to offer, on the mental/bodylanguage side he looks like the worst coach ever. The coach should try to fire up the players, not turn them into scared rabbits with zero self confidence.
2019-04-18 20:39
GeT_RiGhT won’t be kicked. He won’t be kicked from the team he is in since before 2009 or something
2019-04-18 20:37
Nip biggest fan but doesn't know that GTR joined NiP in 2012/2013

Where did I say that NiP was created in 2012/2013? I'm very aware that NiP exists since the early 2000s but GTR joined the org during the stated time period
2019-04-18 20:45
gtr was in 2005-2007 squad
2019-04-21 16:54
2005-2007? lmao

LOL newfag confirmed as well. Gob B is a legendary IGL, and he never played source, he played 1.6, winning events since 2008, probably before your were born.
2019-04-18 20:36
Yes.
2019-04-18 20:39
ignore him, he didn't even touch counter-strike during the time gob b was winning events.

let's forget he won majors in CS 1.6 alright son
2019-04-18 20:36

How are Zeus and Edward on that list. Their main success is in 1.6 aswell lol? Nice logic, don't know if bait or not.
2019-04-18 20:39
zeus and edward are in top 10 csgo teams (mostly top 5) since late 2012, zeus even won a major, both won plenty of big events. gobs biggest win in csgo was the esl meisterschaft.

Still their main success comes from 1.6 They themselves didn't do shit in GO. Maybe Edward was decent at some time. But if they would've started with GO you wouldn't name them legend lol
2019-04-18 20:43
of course i would, as i said, not many players are part of a t1/t2 team for the whole time csgo exists, winning big tournaments and being part of the top teams all the time, this is what makes you a legend. gob didnt did this, in fact he was part of a top 10 team from mid 2018- end 2018 so far. far away from being a legend.

2019-04-18 22:23
I followed mouz in the 1.6 days. I'm an old fuck that has been playing CS the past 17 years. Never considered gob b a legend though, very talented nonetheless. Would probably way more recognized for his skills if there were any good international teams in 1.6 times.

Zeus and Happy will retire this year. But I can't see anyone else doing so. I think Xizt will on 2020 once he is kicked from FNC and same with Edward. F0rest and Olof wont retire for ages IMO (like 3 more for F0rest and 4-5 more for Olof) and Gob B will never retire as theres no one who will replace him and he will never be kicked (Although he should be). GTR maybe 2020 or 2021 and I think Friberg has more to offer in the scene and will last at least another 2 years or more

End of December 2019, i hope i don't see the following people in Tier1 & Tier2 CS anymore. 1. Olof 2. Happy 3. GTR 4. Snax 5. Pasha 6. Neo 7. Taz 8. Byali 9. RPK 10. NBK 11. Shox 12. Flusha 13. Krimz 14. JW 15. Forest 16. Xizt 17. Edward 18. Guardian 19. Adren 20. Zeus 21. Flamie 22. MSL 23. Entire North Team 24. Karrigan 25. ChrisJ
2019-04-18 21:09
flamie is the 2nd/3rd best player in the 2nd/3rd best team in the world, i guess you are baiting hard. chrisJ is also also 4-8 checkout, T1 & T2? VP is playing games which are not even on hltv and pasha got a 0.00 rating in the past 3 month chrisj is gonna be mouzs Totti and is gonna retire in 2025 by himself. 2 major wins to come for him.

Flamie is not showing up when needed, flamie wont go to international team, so hes struck in CIS teams, as for VP players, i said hopefully i dont seem them in T1, T2 CS ever anymore, they can keep playing the level of CS they are playing. ChrisJ same, mouz is no longer relevant.
2019-04-18 21:20
New mouz got a good start, you can only judge them fairly after 2-3 more events lul flamie is showing up when needed. you wont see vp players again.

I have a lot of qualms concerning your list, I can understand some but disagree with others, but literally where the fuck do you pull KRIMZ and valde from? Why shouldn't they be playing above tier 3 CS? I have to genuinely ask whether you even actively watch pro CS for you to state something like this.

I do watch, but Valde & north have been given enough time, they could not win anything worth mentioning apart from couple of upset games, Reason for putting Krimz is that old pros dont want to take orders from young ones, too much EGO. Nothing related to his skills, if he can't co-operate, better not hold the rest.
2019-04-18 23:51
I'm sorry, but that reasoning is still utter bullshit. Valde is too good not to play in a tier 1 team, he could replace Xyp9x/Magisk on Astralis (not saying they should do that), that would be like saying "NiKo shouldn't play in tier 1&2 because his team is not winning" in 2016... I'm sorry, but are you drunk? And your reasoning for KRIMZ is even worse, you're making a wild guess as to what his personality in game is. There is no rest to "hold back", he is Fnatic, he is pretty much the Swedish scene, along with REZ and f0rest (whom you also don't want to play anymore for whatever reason). I hate to say it, but unless all of this conversation is a joke (and if it is one, touche, I didn't notice) you've got absolutely no clue about professional Counter-Strike at all.

Happy has a lot to do in CS , he is younger than coldzera man. Xizt and GTR doesn't need to retire. FalleN has a lot to do , RPK has sooooo much to do he'll play a long time imo , especially if vitality will be a top 5 team. F0rest is still insane he will not retire until 3 or 4 years. And olof isn't old. Look at football players , they are 36-37 yo when they retire. Nobody has 36-37 yo in pro scene , the oldest is TAZ i think and he is only 32 yo.. and it's esports , you can play until you're 40-45 yo at the top level imo

if zeus and edward get kicked from navi they will retire. xizt friberg and gtr if not kicked from their respective teams will still find some home in some Swedish team. gob b will not retire unless BiG disband and they wont. happy probably will since he will not find a new french team that isn't tier 2-3 unless he is really lucky. 2020 fallen doubt rpk very much doubt olof maybe f0rest no.
