Some of the sickest alpine climbers in the world have been killed by an avalanche in Canada. David Lama (Austria) Hansjörg Auer (Austria) Jess Rosskelle (US) Watch some clips, especially Lama was a frickin unikum. They know the risks, but it’s sad, cause we won’t see the world class footage. They used to film all their clims.

Of course they were, but the world needs explorers

I'd hardly call rock climbing exploring. Just something for adrenaline junkies to do.

shits fucking insane, i cant even imagine what your body goes through climbing a mountain wall with no rope at 6-8k meters, going through insane windspeeds and prolly like -35 degrees (without counting in wind). ofc people will write he asked for it but you just need to look at it differently, its not like he did sth like this for the first time, pushed himself countless times further and further. you just gotta appreciate that there is someone doing stuff like that, and not blame him for being arguebly stupid to do something so risky. (besides of that, isnt it reported that they died from an avalance, doesnt neccesarily mean they died climbing a wall?) also, if anyone enjoys watching such pov movies, i recommend this: youtube.com/watch?v=AkigzUFr3ys

One of them is the cousin of a hotel owner. We stayed ln the hotel for 7 days. And we went home yesterday. He told us about his cousin and the entire family was sad. There were candles everywhere. Even I was sad. He said he still could not believed that this happened...
