Why is NiP in Pre-relegation
United Kingdom NotChakeN
Not sure if its a mistake by liquidpedia, They show NiP in Pre-relegation of ESL Pro league but are beating Devils one and Heroic on round difference. gyazo.com/22bc9bac331b2c9a143d111d6c659b..

Map difference is deciding in EPL and both devils.one and heroic won more maps than NiP did
2019-04-20 01:58
Heroic has 1 more map than devils.one and Nip but they both have the same.
2019-04-20 02:09
yea but devils.one will move forward because they won bo3 vs nip
2019-04-21 19:26
they didnt beat devils one and heroic on round difference xd
2019-04-20 01:58
Not true at all. They had a higher round difference than devils.one on every series they played. +1 vs devils.one +9 vs Heroic -14 vs faze whilst devils.one -22

Worst system i have ever seen but deserved for nip they suck with lekro and dennis
2019-04-20 02:03
Tie breaker: Points > h2h > maps > rd It was a three-way tie so first maps was deciding factor. Heroic won 4 maps while devils1 and Nip only won 3 so they are through. Now the tie breaker resets so they look at nip and devils1 in h2h. Devils1 beat nip so nip is out. Really good system imo

Thanks for giving me answer that isnt lying about round difference or claiming that devils.one won more maps than NiP did etc. Just used to round difference playing a bigger part in things.

i dont think so in my opinion. I am a nip fan so I have some bias, but I think round differential definitely should have a higher impact. Its to the point where the h2h are Nip>Heroic>Devils.one>Nip, which is circular. In this case, Yes I agree, see who won a map against faze, and Heroic did, so they are fair to pass. Then you look at Devils.one and nip. Even though Devils one beat nip, it was very close, and overall nip was able to acquire more rounds against the other opponents then Devils did. If Devils is useless(and im not saying they are, they played well, but for the sake go with it) against every other team but nip, and nip is making close matchups and acquiring more rounds then any of these teams, then why do they not get to pass? Idk, I honestly think that ESL should have had Devils and Nip play one more match, or even let Heroic join in... but I see how that can be troubled with little time like this.

It isn't decided by round difference so I'm not quite sure what you're talking about.
2019-04-20 03:13
Im sorry that i somehow offended you but historically that is how ties have been settled in many tournaments so i assumed.

Why mad lol? I hope that asking a general question hasn't pissed you off else i have no idea how you have made it this far in life xD

Unfortunately, they went for Map Difference rather than Round Difference, which I think is a pretty busted system, but it is what it is. Being a NiP fan is painful sometimes
