They saved strats to win esl pro league.
2019-04-21 07:53
just to remember you epsilon vs g2 was a bo1 on train, a map g2 hadn't played in months, they worked a little bit on it and tried to see what they could do. That match didn't mean anything. Vitality are really good, and it was pretty close vs G2, I can see these 2 teams in top 7 soon
2019-04-20 21:22
Why G2 wanted to play train in bo1 tho? They have mirage and train which they can lose against anybody. Vitality aren't good, thats clear. If im not mistaken they havent beaten any top10 team yet. I love Shoxie and Kenny but lets be real, this team showed nothing so fat.

They beat atleast Ence ! And BIG,C9 at the major, I guess one of these was top ten
2019-04-20 21:28
they are usually great against top less than 10 teams, can sometimes beat teams above, but still i agree they struggle against good teams like when they lost against fnatic, nrg... But i see them getting great in the future.

Because, it was against Epsilon, they might have made new strats for train, and decided to see if they can play it better this time, that's what teams do, pick their worst maps and try to improve on things, they would have easily picked any other team, but playing your worst map can help you understand why you're bad at this map, what can you improve, etc etc. Vitality are a decent team imo, a few changes and they might be good.
2019-04-20 22:07
^This They wanted to try Train against Epsilon to get experience on it. Also they lost to Vitality, but it was a french derby so you cannot really judge

they considered Charleroi as practice, a sandbox before a major so they wanted to test out their skills and improve for next major. Their goal wasnt to win Charleroi

I'm sure their goal was to win lmao, they just didnt
2019-04-21 12:01
Why so toxic? Its true Look at their playstyle against Vitality, they werent even trying to play properly (few strat usage, horrible coordination)

United States Jammin800k
Your lack of belief that a team was trying is much more toxic then me holding them to a high standard of play. A standard which I also know the hold themselves up to. The goal at Charleroi was absolutely for them to win, there was literally only one team there that was on their level. They used plenty of strats, they just arent as good on cache as vitality.
2019-04-21 22:19
They saved strats, imagine if ESL Pro League was like in July then how would the games change?

United States Jammin800k
I dont know, I'm only from this reality. Not made up ones in your head where only certain games matter depending on if the circumstances favored them or not. Great teams win despite obstacles. And furthermore, why and WHAT strats would they save on cache CT side, it's literally the most basic, aim based map in the pool and it's about to be ousted for that reason (yes more than dust 2) they simply got outaimed across the map.
2019-04-22 00:48
you are so ignorant you are purposely saying this in a subjective matter. They saved strats, didnt play as they could against vitality because they didnt want to win. They just wanted to get that event over and forget about as quick as possible. Cache was just a choking point for G2

That might be the most biased post I've ever read.
2019-04-22 06:58
I said that objectively, Vitality was of course the winner no doubt but g2 didnt want to take the game seriously, even if they do the game still was a lost, just forget about it

Really? Because shox literally looked more and more depressed as the bo3 went on, and I love shox but even the casters pointed it out. They clearly cared and wanted to win with their home crowd there, why wouldn't they?
2019-04-22 07:04
ESL Pro League of course. Shox is always depressing when losing a match that they shouldve won. Look at the Train match against Windigo, they fought herotiously through 2 overtimes, do you think they had the balls to do that in Charleroi?

Vitality we’re playing cache with their lineup while cache was still in the pool. G2 added AmaNEk after it was taken out

United States Jammin800k
I get that. But you need to also understand that cache doesnt really come down to strats or tactics, it's a heavy aim map where individuals can and usually do carry, not to mention they were on CT side. They literally just lost duels the whole map, gave up entries and then Vitality punished their aggression. Logically both teams found out about the change at the same time and LDLC (the team where both the new recruits came from) played cache a lot so it's not as if it was a new map for them like it was for Alex on inferno. These are just excuses, and if you really thing G2 went into the tournament thinking "2nd place is okay" when theres literally only one team that should be able to compete with them in the entire tournament then you are indeed delusional.

The main problem the French scene seems to have is consistency cause you see g2 beating teams like navi and fnatic but then losing to tier 3 teams elsewhere

I mean I guess we will see but beating Navi and fnatic on two different days gotta count for something
2019-04-21 14:55
kennyS logged out against windigo and amanek was just added. Against vitality they didn't show anything like they did against Navi and don't forget the pistol rounds. They are winning more, literally lost majority of the pistols against windigo, vitality, epsilon. They are doing better especially T side. Just remember any T-side before this pro league. They also moved lucky to entries and are shuffling lurk between amanek, jackz, shox or lucky. T side was the problem. With 3 strong maps in D2,Nuke,Ovp they will be very good in near future. Top 7 is achievable when there is a team like NiP in there.
2019-04-21 18:33
>Top 10 is a possibility if they find out more ways to play and assigning different roles to players, right now they just need to focus on improving T sides of Overpass, Inferno and Train, D2 maybe (well they have to improve on CT side on Train as well since they suck really bad on that map)

G2 and Vitality are maybe only top 10 right now. Top 2 could take a while especially with the return of FaZe, Liquid being really good, and Astralis beating everyone. Not to mention ENCE and Renegades are also looking really solid.
2019-04-20 21:39
Yeah will take much time. But I see a solid future especially with hungry and young players on both sides. Some to get the old status, some to win something. Would be so much great.
2019-04-20 21:52
I dont think Vitalitt is top10. They need to get kio instead of alex or rpk. And then they might be solid top 10 contenders

Right now g2 is Probs top 15 cause they have the skill as seen against fnatic and. Navi but they lack consistency but they seem to be getting better so I could definitely see them being top 8 in the future.

I agree, but I'm just saying they're not a completely trash team anymore. In 2018 nobody expected NiP to get anywhere, but now they're winning every now then. They still need to drop some players but they have potential to do good again.

G2 Top 2
2019-04-21 07:09
G2's map pool is a problem Maps they are good on: Nuke, Dust 2 Middle Maps: Overpass. Inferno Maps they're bad on: Train, Mirage A top 10 team who doesn't play Nuke would insta ban it against G2. Dust 2 is always very momentum based. Top that with a punish pick of Mirage, G2 are already gonna be at a huge disadvantage in any BO3. Interesting to see where Vertigo will slot in their map pool

They've worked a lot on train recently and its getting better and better, they have good ideas on the T side of the map and in a month or 2 i believe their train will be good/decent Only Mirage is the map where they can't do anything on = perma ban Dust2 = momentum based yea but G2 is a team that apparently found a way to be constently very good on it and i feel like they can beat anyone on this map
2019-04-21 08:03
Overpass is a great map for them lately, they be beaten all teams they played against which did pick the map or as a decider, especially against really good team on the map, like Navi Nuke and Dust 2 are great Inferno and train they are better than average on the map, only loosing to really good teams on it And mirage is their permaban And they are good on cache and worked a lot on vertigo lately I don’t see where they have a bad mapool, it’s at least better than average, and having 4 good maps is a good enough mapool to beat almost anybody but astralis.

I really hope so! In their last game Widnigo was so lucky... Also if G2 won against NaVi and fnatic and Windigo lost vs them, G2 should win. However CS is not always logical. Nevertheless, they should prove their improvement by winning today, especialy as this match is the easiest on paper ;)

I think yes , even if windigo win they ll have 3 pts and they Lost against Navi and Fnatic = 4th place guaranteed in the group G2 won against Fnatic and Navi so even if Navi or Fnatic have 6 pts = G2 stays 1st

Don't know :( I'm not so sure now lul When they announced G2 as being qualified i think it's because they are on any case 1st in their group, no ? 2nd and 3rd in the groups are not "qualified" for the lan finals , they're just advancing to the 2nd round. Then there, again 4 teams will make it to the lan finals.
