If LG beats ENVY

It's going to be a 3 way tie between LG, MIBR and C9 at 2-1. does LG stays in first position cause of the map win against C9? If that is correct, then LG is in a position that if they win they get first place and if they lose the get eliminated.

based on map difference c9-1 mibr-2 lg-1 or 2 depending
2019-04-22 04:40
Mibr is 4-2 C9 is 4-3 LG would be 5-3 or 5-2 depending on the result of 2-1 or 2-0, so they would be ahead.

There is a chance to mibr get eliminated?
2019-04-22 04:40
Luminosity's elimination is impossible rn, envy would have to win 37 rounds and you can't do that in 2 maps and if reach a third map they would never equal the round difference
2019-04-22 04:41
ok

no, because its head to head first, so no matter the round difference, because evny would have won the head to head, they would switch and LG would be eliminated, just look at NIP

Ok l see. Sorry

no ESL does not give priority to head to head result, it's actually map win/lose data. so envy does not have a chance right now
2019-04-22 04:53
where can I read ESL rules? this looks too confusing, people are saying different things all the time.

i think they posted it on twitter when NRG RNG and the other team was in 2-1 situation. and that's how NRG topped the group.

If envy won by 16x0 for example, envy win +16 and luminosity loss -16, it's 32 difference... two 16x0 could reduce 64 RD difference

Lmao true. I'm braindead

nah, it's counter intuitive indeed.

If they win 2-0, then they will be ahead of MIBR due to beating them.

IMO, following the rules, if LG wins (by any map diff) it will top the group. As Envyuy wont be part of the "tied participants" the round difference or map difference will not matter. LG will have a "2. Map difference between the tied participants" of: +1 (2-0 v MIBR, 1-2 v C9). MIBR: 0 (0-2 v LG, 2-0 v c9) C9: -1 (2-1 v LG, 0-2 v MIBR) I think the confusion is coming from the "between tied participants" part which will exclude Enyus games. From the Tiebreaker Rule of ESL - Regular Season: "If after any point from 1. to 9., the number of tied participants is reduced or divided into several groups of tied participants, the still tied participants will in each case be compared again starting with the first point. 1. Points amassed between the tied participants 2. Map difference between the tied participants 3. Number of map wins between the tied participants 4. Overall map difference 5. Overall number of map wins 6. Round score difference between the tied participants 7. Number of round wins between the tied participants 8. Overall round score difference 9. Overall number of round wins"

LG qualifies for proleague if 2-0 or 2-1 because of RD
2019-04-22 05:33
Not correct. Its because of map difference between the tied teams as mentioned above.
2019-04-22 05:39
I made a huge combo bet and envy vs lum was supposed to be my last final match winning on lum but no i won 4 games lost 1 :/
