Huge xenophobia I've heard
I don't think you'll experience discrimination or anything of the sort but there is xenophobia here for sure.. Most Japanese people barely speak English so you may experience some difficulties there. Not quite sure about your age etc but if you're nice enough they'll most likely be the same :)
most asian countries are xenophobic as fuck towards anything that's not their race, especially against asians themselves.
I didn't have any troubles there, but they might be discriminatory towards white people.
I mean i have gotten laid with a Japanese chick before so i guess some of them like non japanese people.
You should watch YouTubers who have lived in Japan for some time like Abroad in Japan, Rachel and Jun, etc. instead of asking HLTV lmao.
A lot of foreigners live in Tokyo so if you live there you'll have an easier time fitting in probably.
japanese men seem to despise foreign men 1000x more than japanese women
you cant get job cause you cant speak japanese and without job you cant stay there, but gl
A lot of them like, ask any Chinese Korean Japanese guy if they could date a beyond average white girl.
You will often hear "BAKA GAIJIN"and I think that is beautiful. Just be mindful of others and you're good - respect begets respect - sometimes people might be enigmatic , strange or what not .
One thing is for sure , what stays on that day will be on that day only , the rest moves on just as life goes on..
Almost all my neighbors are japanese. And they're anything but friendly, except this old man who's always willing to talk about his favorite football team with me whenever I pass by. I noticed he only does that because he's bored AF since he's lonely at home most of the time.
There is this 8/10 female japanese in her early twenties who lives three houses away from mine as well. And I shit you not, she always avoids making eye contact with me like if I was the devil or something. I'm not sure if she's racist, though. I've spotted her kissing a western-looking man at a grocery store nearby once.
they tolerate white people and hate everyone else
No, they are mostly racist to strangers,
nope they're racists against strangers
Ive been in japan for 5 weeks now and i havent met friendlier people ever. Though i do speak japanese to them so that probably helps them warm up to me as the english in japan is pathetically weak. Also in smaller cities they are even more friendly. I met some amazing ppl all over shikoku.
They cant really see the difference
its a culture of respect and honor, so if you behave like a normal person nothing will happen
waitooo piggu GO HOMEEEEEEEE
whites are animals just last week another american marine killed a Japanese woman. apes.
i feel so bad for the Okinawans. :(((( free occupied Okinawa.
I went to Disneyland and Universal Studios in Japan and the rides are all in Japanese.
Watching the minions and Harry Potter speak Japanese is the weirdest thing ever.
Japan is 10/10 for not bending over for anyone.
Been watching a russian blogger who lives in Japan. He mainly talks to chicks. He's tall (190 cm), I'd say, handsome and speaks fluent Japanese. They do really seem to like him as he's more open and brave than japanese men. All in all, girls get wet, males are probably envy af. From every conversation I've seen, I'd say, being fluent in Japanese is how he get the attraction and respect from girls and the rest of the people.
xenophobia exists in every country
Yes we do. But a lot of Japanese ppl dont know eng so u have to learn basics of our native lang..
They even have a word for it: gaijin
they think americans are cool.
I am half Japanese, was in Japanese for last 3 weeks came back yesterday. I am not considered foreigner. Most places will accept you, except some Yakuza places (you might have to pay more). 'Old towns' might throw stones at you if you are obnoxious American, but if any other race you should be fine. On my first night for this holiday, it was a black guy as a waiter, so they seem to be open to all races (though this was in Tokyo not 'Old town') Just be careful if you are annoying american. Also if you hear 'gaijin' it means foreigner
Xenophobia is real because foreigners are not as common in Japan is in most of western countries.
I don't know if it's really xenophobia, it can also be some weird curiosity
Learn the language and read about their ways of doing things and their culture. Most importantly show respect and you shall be treated well.
#109 it's not a japanese, but you have a nice chinese Guy there.
depends on your manners, if you respect them they should respect you
german should be fine (ww2 bros)
learn the basics of their Lang and you should be fine, Japaneses In general are peaceful
japanese ladies like masculine white non-asian men
asian ppl are racist af tbh
They don't we don't tolerate foreigners in East Asia, at all.
