The 'golden spot' or whatever it's called where it rewards bad players is a bad sniping system.
Basically where if you shoot in the chest (or around that area) with a bolt action, it does similar damage to a headshot (but obviously without the extra points).
That's why cod mw ground war is so bad compared to BF, snipers are 1 hit kill, but in every BF snipers without headshot are 2 hit kill. Also you are right, BF1 kinda rewards bad players more because of the better snipers. Same in CSGO, if we ignore the money system AWP is too overpowered.

You can, but it played just fine on PC. Its where me and my friends played it the most.
BF3, I think. I love the BF2 maps on BF3, too.
BF4 is one of the games i enjoyed the most.
I also really liked BF1 but less than BF4.
its made very simple and you see a lot more in bf2, its a lot older engine and its worse for shooting so bf4 is by far better with shooting, in bf2 there were static AA's and you couldnt have stinger/igla and static AA's were better and anyone could use them, I really liked that for example
Battlefield 3 for sure. Good maps, good graphics, was popular game back then. Then they fucked up the franchise with Hardline, then they made a copy of BF3 but worse in BF4.
Also, BF3 has the best air vehicles in any game ever (Viper heli and F16)
BF3 had some of the best maps ever like Firestorm, Tehran, Kharg Island, Wake Island while BF4 I guess had Paracel Storm and Golmud. And like I edited in my post, BF3 had actual dog fighting, and helicopters with TV missiles were iconic for the game.
I'm just nostalgic because I played heli&jets with my friends and it was easy pubstomp / sometimes you played versus some dogfighting gods and it became very competitive.
Maybe BF4 had better netcode I guess (which is a huge deal tbh)
