Mens, time has come for us to speak out the truth.
Look at teams like MIBR and NiP, shit teams that get invited to event after event. People don't complain when they get invited, cause "they are top 10". However, the only reason they are top 10, is because they get invited to almost all events.
Why is that you may ask mens? Its because these teams have the largest fanbase. So event organizers want to include them in their tournaments. More fans watching the tournament --> more money earned from tickets/stream commercials/sponsorship deals.
In the HLTV rankings, the "unofficial official" CSGO ranking, achievements are made up of 50% of the score. So if these shit teams gets invited over and over again to big LANs, they wont drop out of the top 10. Which makes them less controversial for event organizers to invite to big events.
My question to you mens, is HLTV a part of this plot? Or is it a fortunate coincidence for event organizers?
TL;DR: NiP and MIBR gets invited to events for organizers to earn more $$$$. HLTV might be part of it. Illuminati confirmed.
What teams, though? NiP, I agree are pretty bad but MIBR aren't all that bad. Worthy enough to be invited to tournaments. Also nothing will change, inviting NiP and MIBR generates more money than inviting Renegades and some other team.
VP got invites to big tournaments in 2018 tho. They dropped in rating to about top 15-20 after having performed shit for about a year. The only reason why they got their invites was because of their name/fanbase.
You know most tournaments have qualifiers where everyone can participate its only a couple of tournaments that only have invited teams and they mostly consist of 4-6 teams playing the tournament in 1-2 days.
In case of MIBR and NIP it is good to remember they also have deal with blast so they get invite to those often anyway and they are events with very low number of participants so not many teams get this chance. MIBR would be already on their way out from top 10 had they not gotten top 3 in last blast event.
