any pain is not normal as long as you are not in your sixties you should visit an orthopedist, he will tell you what to do with your back pain and what mattress you should buy, im pretty sure he knows more about it than hltv users

Futon - works well for me. No back problems or anything. But are you sure your problems is due to your mattress. Maybe you're doing something during the day that is bad for you, like say lifting stuff repeatedly while in a an awkward position or just doing some move over and over - or simply sitting at a desk where the height is wrong or the screen and keyboard+mouse isn't placed as they should.

It can also be the wrong pillow. Sounds daft I know, but your pillow should match the way you sleep. So fx. if you sleep laying on the side it is best to have a pillow that is somewhat firm and tall to support you head and neck not making it tilt too much, however this is more about avoiding issues than solving them. Unless the waking up and pain thing goes away in a few days definitely go see a doctor.

Yeah my pillow is Def at fault too. Its not firm at all and i lay sideways when i fall asleep. I had these problems for months now but i never really cared...i know this sounds stupid.

Main thing is doing something about it. Everybody, or almost everybody, tends to brush things aside in the hope it gets better and often it does only not always.

Nah simply laying down is ok but at night i wake up like 3-5times and in the morning i feel pain in my neck and back for a few minutes. Might have to go to a doctor
