After the second major, they didn’t win anything that matters for 10 months. You honestly claim that you can keep an “era” when not winning titles? In that case most teams have eras all the time.

beeing #1 the role year and winning 9 titles in 1 year?
2019-06-08 08:31
Sure you can make a case for them having an era from May 2017 to Dec 2017. Aka 7 months. But this guy is claiming 2 years, which would mean it started by the first major , which is silly since you can’t have an era where don’t win titles for 10 months.

they were most consistent, that is what matter most, so it was their era for 2 years
2019-06-08 08:45
No, era is about being dominant. Liquid has had a year full of 2nd places, they didn’t have an era, Astralis did! Winning is what matters and winning consistently over time is an era. You can not go 10 months without winning anything and claim you have an era.

Do you even watch cs? Do you even realize how stupid you look by saying the things you say? Astralis might be playing like shit now but they had the best era ever. b2b EPL champions, b2b ECS champions, b2b Major's, Intel Grand Slam winners and many more tournament wins. And they did it when the scene was the most competitive. You can't even compare their era do the Lg/Sk era.

if astralis had best era they would still be best, but they aren't its American era now (both south-america+north american) when scene is the most competitive ever best are from America
2019-06-08 10:58
Astralis is the first team to be #1 for more than a year on the rankings. That is undebatable. But their era is obviously over now. Now Liquid has the chance of creating their era if they consistently keep winning tournaments.

It should be voted by community More people = more realistic rankings now it is made by one guy who can add anybody he want to any rank he wish
2019-06-12 17:49
First of all you obviously don't have a clue how the HLTV rankings work. It's a completely fixed point system. Not some guy who just does whatever he wants. Secondly - do you REALLY believe that a community voted ranking would be valid in ANY way???

"It's a completely fixed point system" really, then who decided which tournament is worth of amount X points? computer? (no, its human..) yeah.. you are the one who don't get how the system work. Some human practically decide rankings And to secondly comment: community is smart and clever

The scene WAS competitive, morons. Since 2nd half of 2016, the game has been at its most competitive yet, including last year. If you don’t know shit about CS, just don’t comment please. I’ve been here on CS turf since 2004, and no you haven’t been here for longer. Don’t lie

Not long enough, apparently. 2015 wasn’t competitive at all, it was dominated by Fnatic till the French took over shortly by the end of 2015. Fnatic dominated almost everything 3/4 out of 2015. And it wasn’t because other teams were bad, but they weren’t great either. Not at all competitive. Stay mad. :) Very late 2016-now is the most competitive era the game has seen yet, deal with it.

Bro, the only reason you're saying astralis dominated 2018 in a competitive era is because you are a fan of astralis. I can tell you now. That 2018 was one of the least competitive. I suggest thinking about yourself before you call someone delusional.

Are you still going? Considering I already told you the fact you need to know, it's actually impressive. For the last time: It wasn't the least competitive period. It's funny you can't see that yourself. And no, it's not. I'm the least biased Astralis fan you can find, I'm just allergic to bollocks.

Reading comprehension is poor I see. Any team loses matches from time to time, but Astralis, Fnatic and SK (during May 2017 - Dec 2017) was consistently winning big events. This is when it can be called an era. Also by your own logic if only the most important events count (majors) they LG/SK had an even shorter era since they haven’t won a major since 2016.

2016 was SK year man, so you cant say that they lose #1 spot Jan 2017 - May 2017 just because there is no championship that can take the team out of the throne.
2019-06-09 17:35
Sure it was their year, but they didn’t have an era. They didn’t dominate the scene. They only won 4 tournaments all year. Please understand that there is a difference between being the best in a year where different teams won, and having an era when you basically win most of the big event during the year. In 2016, LG/SK won 4 event, NIP won 3. Fnatic also won several in the beginning of the year (the end of their era)

acctually, maybe you dont watch cs as long as we do, but yeah, SK was at first spot for 2 years. Beeing out of #1 because hltv put them lower for one or two weeks doesnt mean that they lose the #1 spot. Just like right now Astrais still #1, 1-2 championship can not change this, they are #1 right now, liquid is playing alright, but we will see the truth by the major. Or on the next few championships

You fucking what mate. I've been watching CS since 2004 - but this isn't about how long we have watched CS, it's about facts. Astralis, by both HLTV, eSports historians as well as commentators and analysts, has been deemed the first team to stay at the #1 spot for 365 days in a row, held for 400+ days total. It doesn't count leaving the throne for one or two weeks, then you haven't been #1 consecutively. Also, Astralis has achieved more on the grand scale, and that isn't even because I'm a fan, that's also a fact. No greater challenge is there than in the grand slam, that is the most exclusive challenge yet created - and atm they are the only team to have claimed just that. They might not be at the end of the grand slam season, but we're talking now. Like right now, Astralis is not #1, Liquid is. It's about the rankings, not what you think.

NA has a lot of talented youngsters but they lack the professionality and leadership that EU teams have. There are only a few NA teams (+Furia) with a professional org and a good culture within the team so they can compete at tier 1 events.
