2018 was the most interesting year and very competitive. Players were way better than the years before it and teams were more interesting.
2019-06-08 20:28
Nostalgics will say 2015 / earlier, Brazilians will say 2016, but I think 2017 and 2018 go hand in hand as the most competitive year in csgo history
There is one thing we can ALL agree on tho, the 2019 CSGO circuit has been a pathetic shit show untill now as we barely have ANY events at all where even 8 out of 10 top10 teams attend, fuck BLAST, fuck em hard, valve should intervene fast and hard, kill it while they still can
2019-06-08 20:31
2019 of course, I love those BLAST events, thats what good events are, cant wait to see my favorite team Blastralis play more of those
2019-06-08 20:31
2015 > all (no brazilians)
2019-06-08 20:32
Ez 2015 because EnVyUs vs Fnatic
2019-06-08 20:43
Easily 2015 had most fun playing the game and still had the passion for it.
2019-06-08 20:43
Wow, overwhelmingly 2015. Nice.
2019-06-08 20:45
2017-2018 for sure the best years.
2019-06-08 20:58
The best years of cs go for me were from 2014 to 2016.
2019-06-08 21:21
I liked 2014 personally, I wouldn't call it the best, but it was my favorite. Two good NA teams (well, better than what came before) in iBP and coL/C9. In early 2015, iBP kind of fell apart, as you probably know, and hiko left C9, he was my favorite player... I know 2015 was competitive, but I didn't watch much CS after 2014 until late 2016 when I came to HLTV. I watched Majors, but pretty much nothing else.
2019-06-08 22:20
The competition between Fnatic, VP, NiP and NV was the best. So the answer is 2015.
2019-06-08 22:28
2018, we have never seen a more dominant team like Astralis in history
2019-06-08 22:40
50+ % 2017??????????????????????
wtf did everyone who started watching prior 2017 leave?
2019-06-08 22:42
2017 because faze fan and the faze vs sk matches were insane
And i was gambling addict so skin websites were at their peak
2019-06-08 23:20
2014 katowice has been the best event to date tbh, krakow 2017 is a close 2nd
2019-06-08 23:23
14-15 then it went to shit
2019-06-08 23:45
2018
saw the best team in csgo history and the best player in csgo history
2019-06-08 23:48
2015 best competitive year mens
2019-06-09 03:38
Whats the bet that the 2018 voters are astralis fans?
2019-06-09 03:46
2019 is looking promising
2019-06-09 05:53
2014 (2015 was also excellent). This year is interesting so far, could be up there if we get more hard fought tournaments!
2019-06-09 13:38

2019-06-09 13:38
2018 and end of Virtus.pro
2019-06-09 13:42
can actually somebody who voted for 2017 explain himself? I mean what year was that? NiP were still underperforming, SK were slowly losing it, the whole Fnatic/godsent strange situation and the major at the middle of year was fucking PGL Krakow which had 1. lots of tech difficulties 2. boring matches af 3. Gambit vs Immortals in final.
2019-06-09 22:24
in 2015 was a bit boring cuz only Sweden teams are dominating
in 2017 was stronger and most competitive: +brazilians, NA, kazaks, china. Biggest overal prize fund
2019-06-09 22:44
2015 cause, Fnatic, Nip, TSM, Envy, VP, Navi and even C9 played well.
Money wasn't raining over the players and they were all hungry for that first spot.
2019-06-09 22:53
WTF so many ppl voted 2017 im shocked
2019-06-09 23:41
VOTES are pretty good , i agree. 2016 and 2018 were completely dogshit
2019-06-10 02:11
i dont know about the best but 2019 is surely one of the worst due to fucking blast
2019-06-10 02:16
2019 this year has been so interesting i think my favorite part to watch is the danish teams like optic heroic and north combine and mix their teams.
2019-06-10 05:51
are these 2017 votes coming from astralis fans?
2014 2015 best year of competitive csgo
2019-06-10 06:05
2000 - 2003 internet cafe years.
2019-06-10 08:08
personally 2015 for me had the most fun back then after 2016 I kept a long break and came back early 2019
2019-06-10 23:59
2017, I do think 2016 was the best year for majors tho.
in 2017 people from every region had a team to root for whether they were from NA/BR/EU. The Faze/SK rivalry was really good, the events were usually stacked with top teams, VP was actually good. It feels like 2018 and especially 2019 are shittier in comparison. The majors and T1 events feel so much worse compared to what they used to be.
Also skin betting was still a thing, way more fun that money/bitcoin betting
2019-06-12 01:31
2018 not really Astralis won almost every event they played in how is that competitive?
2018 had a shit ton of events but there was nothing competitive about it.
2015 was the most competitive year in terms of tier 1 teams.
2019-06-12 02:04
Haven´t been watching it for long... But was watching 2015 final Fnatic damn haha soo hyped team when they won Olofmeister Krimz Flusha JW Pronax , Devilwalk Vuggo cArn all in 1 super team
2019-06-12 03:03
I started to watch csgo pro scene in 2017 so, as many of you are saying that the best year is 2015, i cant give my opinion about that but, as I said, i started watching in 2017 and, since then, it looks to me that 2019 so far has been the best year, why?
Well, last year astralis dominated and 2017 you would see SK vs Faze almost the entire year but, at the beggining of 2019, the main question was: is astralis, potencially the best team in csgo ever, going to be the top 1 or other team will take that spot? Which team? Navi, Liquid, new mibr, ence? And now we witnessed, like somekind of plot twist, astralis themselves fucked their era, liquid seems to be rising but we still have ence and vitality, as we can see in the past few tournaments they still can win, and I didn't even started to talk about Navi, faze and mibr, those who used to be top teams but rw are going through some problems.
Bottomline, as we've seen the last tournaments, the question in my mind is: who the fuck is going to win the next big title? I mean, we don't have the same feeling like 2018 that astralis is gonna win or the 2017 that faze/sk will win or, if they don't, it's because somekind of upset; right now is open season
2019-06-12 03:07
I think this year is gonna be the best
2019-06-12 08:52
Damn, I miss 2015 so much. Good times, when almost every tournament was competitive and had a very unique atmosphere. All three majors were insane (even Cluj-Napoca had some crazy games) and so many teams were at their best.
Kenny vs Guardian, EnVyUs vs fnatic, olof vs everyone - greatest rivalries of CS:GO. Also there was great story of Cloud9's summer and Luminosity's grind to top in the end of the year.
And overall there were at least 5 teams that were capable of winning every event (fnatic, Envyus, Na`Vi, TSM and VP).
So sad that now its just boring BLAST all over again and teams skipping important events left and right.
CS:GO just lost special atmosphere of something big and meaningful, and its really sad
2019-06-12 09:18
i'd like to know why some people think 2015's the best
2019-06-12 21:58
2014 has less than 2016-2018 wtf...
2019-06-12 23:11
