Football GOAT

Macau LLOO
Don't let your love for a player makes you hate another player, i see a lot of Ronaldo haters in here but your hate will do nothing to him, it just makes him even stronger. As for the football GOAT it will always be Maradona until either Messi or Ronaldo wins a world cup with a great impact on the team, but they're still two of the greatest ever right now beside Zidane,Ronaldo da Lima,Pelé,Maradona.

Nope. Football has come a long way from 90:s. In 70:s it was barely a sport.
2019-06-14 03:14
I don't think people understand. That the competition back in Maradonas time was very different then Ronaldos. The hardest era has been with Messi and Ronlaldos time. Since now football has evolved and is played professionally all over the world. Also the competition is so much harder.

LMFAO that's fucking delusional Ronaldinho is a top 10 G.O.A.T. and CR7 is not even that good, raped by Ajax, the only goal he did was with headering, he fucked his career up, Juventus ain't going to win shit(Not to mention that Ajax impeachment of half of a meter, coulda been easily 5-1). Neymar is trash and David Neres/Vinicius Jr will be better in that period.

you said cr7 got raped by ajax so obviously you dont know anything... he was literally only juventus player with big impact in that series..
2019-06-13 16:29
"so obviously you don't know anything" CR7 master skills: Headering Free kicks Penalties And penalties again. He doesn't have a team like Real Madrid to play upon him, that's the difference. Now an actual striker is someone like Messi who can make plays, drible, and basically destroy an entire team alone. How it was the only goal he had managed to do? Headering, right? With an assistance from a midfielder and mistakes from Ajax defense. What a huge impact he's caused :)

where was messi when his team (barca or argentina) needed just 1 goal or 1 assist from him ? he does that against Huesca , Eibar but disappears against Liverpool,Roma,Atlético,Juventus,Germany and the list goes on
2019-06-14 03:02
Yeah he chokes and he's got deffects, but CR7 fans praise him for stuff like making a hat trick against Spain since they were really fucked up that WC. Well, i had to stop considering what you've just said when you mentioned Liverpool. Are you really fucking kidding on that one? I'm not even a Messi fan/that much of an appreciator but what the fuck, that last game Piqué and other defenders chocked the shit out of it, and threw it(and, indeed, Barcelona not in Camp Nou gets fucked in the ass). Messi was by far the only one not choking in that game and trying to do something, they were unlucky as well. Oh, just to add, Sergio Agüero is my favorite forward.
2019-06-14 03:08
actually 2 goals. I see you didnt see the matches. Ronaldo can make plays?? he has most assists in ucl history. Thats gotta mean something
2019-06-14 03:43
Whoops, mistook that. My point stands since his other goal he's got the same way. "Ronaldo can make plays??????" Well, Benzema is a Central Forward when Ronaldo used to play as a winger, while Messi is mostly Central Forward, has been playing with second attackers, and still he's got higher assist ratio overall than Ronaldo. In Manchester United, Ronaldo was a Left Winger as well. michelacosta.com/en/messi-vs-ronaldo/
2019-06-14 03:56
First of all. You can't really base a players best performance when the guy just swapped team to Juventus after 9 years in Real. Second of all the guy was the only one creating chances, openings, shots and goals from the Juventus side. But obviously since you only google stuff you don't know the openings he created during the Ajax game. Now saying that Ronaldo is "not even good" shows how stupid and uneducated retarded fag you are. Saying that Ronaldo doesn't have a team like Real Madrid to back him for his goals and plays and now plays with someone else and Messi can create goals is a pretty weak and misleading argument. First of all Ronaldo is one of the best national players he has scored most goals, has many assist and also a trophy. Now what does Ronaldo have in Portugal? Bernando Silva and Quaresma then who else? Also they weren't even the're a couple of years ago. While Messi has so man talents and just has a shitshow in his national team every year. Choking every year. He is the one proven that he can only play with a brilliant Barcelona and no other team else. Also saying that Ronaldo headers are " a mistake from the other team" is just completely fucking retarded. The guy has a sharp header and jumps higher then every body else and also plays it fast and smart. I repeat stats doesn't show everything and you know nothing about football so stop talking about the sport. Then mentioning Ronaldos hat trick against Spain and saying that it was nothing special and the WC was fucked? What in the actual fuck is that for an argument. The guy scored a hat trick. The're is no real argument for it being bad. Specially when doing it alone when your team is not doing much. Sure the second goal was not the sharpest and shouldn't be a goal. But what about every other chance and goal? Then saying that Ronaldo was trash during the Ajax game. But then saying that Pique and the other defenders where trash during the Liverpool game and not blaming it on Messi but on Ronaldo is pathetic. Seriously you blame Ronaldo but not Messi. I mean common at least Ronaldo created chances and scored goals. But what did Messi do? See his team get humiliated. Don't ever talk about football.
2019-06-14 21:07
"First of all. You can't really base a players best performance when the guy just swapped team to Juventus after 9 years in Real." I can, and i do. What are you expecting? Expecting him to have his team adapted and change totally their playstyle because of him? Ronaldinho Gaúcho is the biggest player EVER in Barcelona and right after he leaved, the first season he played in Milan he won, and his first game there was amazing as well. "Second of all the guy was the only one creating chances, openings, shots and goals from the Juventus side. But obviously since you only google stuff you don't know the openings he created during the Ajax game." Delusional. "Ronaldo is one of the best national players he has scored most goals, has many assist and also a trophy. Now what does Ronaldo have in Portugal? Bernando Silva and Quaresma then who else? Also they weren't even the're a couple of years ago." LMFAO did you actually use t3 leagues as arguments? LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL "While Messi has so man talents and just has a shitshow in his national team every year. Choking every year. He is the one proven that he can only play with a brilliant Barcelona and no other team else." Barcelona chokes, not Messi. "Also saying that Ronaldo headers are " a mistake from the other team" is just completely fucking retarded. The guy has a sharp header and jumps higher then every body else and also plays it fast and smart. I repeat stats doesn't show everything and you know nothing about football so stop talking about the sport." Already mad, the headering towards Ajax was because he had gotten space enough to do that accurately, did you forget i mentioned he is a master at headering? "Then mentioning Ronaldos hat trick against Spain and saying that it was nothing special and the WC was fucked? What in the actual fuck is that for an argument. The guy scored a hat trick. The're is no real argument for it being bad. Specially when doing it alone when your team is not doing much. Sure the second goal was not the sharpest and shouldn't be a goal. But what about every other chance and goal? " First of all, he scored a penalti and a free kick. Sergio Ramos was trash, Alba was trash, Busquets was trash, who else? "g the Ajax game. But then saying that Pique and the other defenders where trash during the Liverpool game and not blaming it on Messi but on Ronaldo is pathetic" Your nick checks out once fucking again. HOW are those 3 last goals Messi's fault and not Defense's? "I mean common at least Ronaldo created chances and scored goals" Created chances = None of 'em were taken therefore it doesn't matter Scoring goals = Headering. Oh, and i'm not a Messi fanboy by the way. Barcelona is trash outta Camp Nou.
2019-06-14 23:24
its pretty stupid to compare overall ratios because everyone knows ronaldo didnt have good stats start of his career
2019-06-14 23:06
Messi played his first game for Barça in 2004 and used to get benched because of Ronaldinho and other stars back then, yet Cristiano Ronaldo had been a titular since 2003. Then what you are saying is complete bullshit.

LM10 will win the Ballon d'Or. He did great, scored many goals and had the biggest impact at Barcelona. van Dijk would deserve as Salah deserved it last year more than CR7. But I doubt that it will happen. However, regarding the World Cup thing: It's not so easy as back then to win a World Cup alone. In the 80's it was possible to lead your team alone to a World Cup. This has changed in the last 30 years. 1990 Germany great team 1994 Brazil had a great team with great individuals France 1998 great team 2002 Brazil was a great team with great individuals 2006 Italy a great team 2010 Spain great team with great individuals 2014 Germany great team 2018 France a great team with great individuals You need more than Messi to win a World Cup nowadays. He even led his team 2014 to world cup final and lost against the best team in the world. He tried everything he could. It's much harder than back then. You could also see it at the EURO 2016. Portugal had a great team and won without CR7 the final, playing most of the game without him due to injury. They were all pumped up.
2019-06-13 10:52
so by scoring no goals in Knockout Round you are leading your country to the World Cup final? good to know. Messi getting the best player of WC 2014 was one of the biggest jokes in football.

- Messi scored 4 of 6 goals in the group stage. No Messi = No knockout stage for Argentina. - Messi's assist led to Di Maria's goal in the ro16. - Messi took the responsibility and scored the first penalty against Netherlands in the semi-final and played good in the grand final. But I understand that ppl with potato brain can only judge the book by its cover and don't know that a player can perform well even though the team is losing. We also often saw entire teams performing better than their opponents but they still lost. Shit happens in life. But you can't deny the fact that he did a lot for his national team. The problem with Argentina's team is NOT Messi. Other players should get the fact that Messi can't do everything alone and they also have to step up to win CA or WC. And also the coaches were utter shit. Argentina would've won at least one WC with Messi if they would've had a manager like Klopp. BTW: Today starts Copa America. Another chance for Messi and the team looks good. #Hype

Yes, I love to see Messi play the game and I know a lot about football and I definitely know how the game has to be played and that, especially nowadays, one player can't carry an entire team if the others are utter shit. Agüero is pure dogshit in the national team. Besides Messi, only Di Maria shows sometimes that he can play the game he is being payed for. Columbia scored just now 2-0... Did you watch the match? Agüero left the pitch with ONE attempt. Even the GOAT needs a team to win. I expected that all players with the new coach gain some proper mentality but it doesn't seem to be the case. Shame... 10 players wasting the time of a wonderful football player. BTW: If Ronaldinho wouldn't have had Ronaldo, Cafu, Lucio, Kaka, Rivaldo, 2002 would've never been possible. You need a TEAM. If you need an example in CSGO take s1mple. Top 1 but far away from winning as much as he would deserve or should.
2019-06-16 02:00
Just the same as Modric last year, people think they deserve the ballon dor even tho it is 100% clear that they are nowhere near ronaldo or messi. Not close in stats, talent och impact for their teams. Modric was lucky to be the "biggest" name of Croatian national team, even tho he was no where near the best player in that team. Van dijk is just like some1 said "a solid defender" but still not close to the oldschool top defenders like cannavaro, ramos or pique in their prime. Ronaldo or messi should get the ballon dor until they quit the sport, after that you will see Pogba/mbappe or neymar take it

Zidane might be overrated in productivity but he had something which no one ever had in football. I'm yet to see it in anyone. Even though haven't seen him play live but from videos I describe him as 'football flows with him'.
2019-06-10 17:40
I think what you describe could be seen from the Brazilian player Kaka... A great player as well but not quite on par with Zidane.
2019-06-10 18:55
Kaka was good. I didn't see that decline coming but you know BR players. Their declines are so fast. Btw Zidane's control on ball was something else. Best passer, best skills, best first touch, best vision and what not.
2019-06-10 18:59
Yeah he really fell off... Must have got lazy and not kept his fitness. Yeah I know he's one of my favorites I used to always follow Real Madrid before the Ronaldo Era, can't stand the team now. They were fun to watch with Raul, Figo and Roberto Carlos. Felt the same with AC Milan, hence why I like Kaka.
2019-06-10 19:18
Yeah I too. I started supporting Real Madrid a bit before Ronaldo era. Though didn't watch that Raul,Figo,Carlos,Ronaldo,Zidane era. But did certainly watch later generation. I loved the team for their history and style and stars.
2019-06-10 19:19
Yeah exactly, as I support English teams I always had to admire some of the Spanish/ Italian giants. Looking back at some of their lineups they really were solid teams! The biggest difference I see now is how much Italy have dropped off. If you look at the champions league final 2003, Milan vs Juventus the amount of talent was ridiculous in Italy.
2019-06-10 19:26
I think Spanish buisnessmen have done huge work to revive their scene. Italians couldn't keep up with them and resulted in what they're today.
2019-06-10 19:27
Don't forget the corruption in Italy. This has lead to a massive downfall of their clubs.

"took a shit" Have you ever watched that entire football game? The ego of brazilian players had grown way too much in that game, with all respect to Zidane, that could have been a 5-0 for Brazil if they played the right way. Also it was only 1-0 with Brazil playing badly, do you have an idea on how fucked up it looks when you say "took a shit on Brazil"? Oh, and just to add, Zidane should have won that WC.

Btw skillwise Zidane is the GOAT.

Be serious.. Pelé never left brazil, never played in europe.. In the 60's Pelé played against non professionals players, dribbling farmers and butchers.. In the 60's football was more technical than nowadays? so delusional..

LoL... go do research... How old are you? Pele made more than 150 goals against european teams... Nowdays is more physical... few players know how to do something with the ball... for example Bale... real madrid paid 100 million euros for a guy that only run fast... How many shirt 10 players currently exist who knows how to give a prodigious pass or goal pass? You are too young to know things
2019-06-13 16:25
150 goals against european teams.. what a monster.. xD And no.. football in the 60's was not more technical than nowadays, if you think so, you are completely delusional. Football has never been so complex as nowdays. The game has totally evolve, and becomes more professional. Back in the 60's everybody wants to dribble and score and no give a shit about defend or team tactics. Do you really want to compare a player who have been play in brazil in the 60's with a player who plays in europe in XXI century?

You are delusional... dont know nothing about 60,70 and 80s.... the game has totally evolve i agree but in terms of technique has fallen today the physical stands out... Messi is good running, hiding the ball, dribbling and kicking with left foot... Pele kicked with both feet, he was good with head, he was good with dribbling and passing the ball... he was complete... messi is not... its a fact
2019-06-13 18:00
Yes, Maradona may have been Argentina and Napoli's best player but those teams weren't awful. Argentina won the World Cup just 8 years earlier before Maradona was in the team. The country had a lot of good players. Speaking of carrying Argentina, have you forgot he used his hands to beat England 2-1?? They may have never made the final if it wasn't for cheating. Did you also forget he didn't score any of the 3 goals for Argentina in the final?? Let's talk club football results, only idiots talk about Word Cups as the most important factor in Football. There an occasion that happen once every 4 years and you play only 7 games with a team who barely train together. Mardona: UEFA (1), Serie A (2), La Liga (1), Cope del Rey (1), Coppa Italia (1) Player of the Year (1986) Goals 259 in 491 appearances. Messi: UEFA (4), La Liga (11) Cope del Rey (6) Player of the Year (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015) Goals 419 in 452 appearances. Are you really going to forget that HUGE difference in statistics because Messi's Argentina lost to Germany in the 2014 World Cup Final 1-0 in Extra-Time?? You are trying to justify the success of a career over 30 minutes rather than 15 years. Now let's talk about Messi vs Ronaldo... It's the only real debate for GOAT.

Messi/Ronaldo Enjoy it while it lasts because there is a massive decline in all sports around the world with talent/motivated players. These two grew up when there was no internet so all they did was play and live soccer, young guys just don't have the same mentality anymore. These two players destroyed the scene day one. Same in Tennis Fed, Nadal, Djok destroyed the best players in their primes in their teens, now the young guys in their primes have nothing for the 30+ year olds.

The only player of those 3 that even won a slam in his "teens" (19) was Nadal. But I agree that overall most popular sports are declining because kids are much less active than before. Football especially has declined massively in the last decade. On the other hand, less popular sports are getting better as the number of youth players increase and the structure to support them improves.

The 'Real' one? They're both referred to as football. And the pussy one is the one that cards you when you hit someone, or people practice their acting skills by falling to the turf and crying like babies to pull a card. When someone who is 6'5" and 300 lbs is running directly at you faster than you can run away, we'll see who the pussie is.

american football is just rugby with helmets, plus it's so dangerous and barbaric i don't understand how can someone watch that.
2019-06-11 04:28
It's a bit more direct hitting than rugby. I used to play rugby when I went to college in Canada. First lesson in tackling was to drag the guy down, not hit him directly. That's why there's pads in football; the hitting is direct and as hard as you can. Without pads the field would be littered with broken bones.
2019-06-11 04:45
It's a joke compare Pelé with anyone. He played under the same condition that the other players play. Won 3 world cups. Period.
2019-06-11 02:24
It's very stupid when people say "oh, players weren't even professional", as if Pelé wasn't under similar conditions.
2019-06-11 02:45
and no, Pelé wasn't under similar conditions, when most of the players in Brazil in the 60's were not professionals, it means that they have their own profession besides playing football, Pelé received a higher salary than those paid in Europe at the time only to play football
2019-06-13 11:25

Pele 0/8 not even top100 when he played football everyone was trash that's the worst bait ever. Zidane another bait he is not even top1 in French he is equal with Platini at best and not even top20. Ronaldo was good i agree but he is no way the goat maybe but MAYBE top10 but i'd put him in top15. Right now CR7 is the GOAT without any doubt and i'm not even a fanboy but for sure at the end when both Messi and Ronaldo retire Messi will be the GOAT.If you compare anyone with Messi and Ronaldo you are just fucking delusional or nostalgic.
