I have the following PC : Processor : AMD FX X8 8350 Octa-Core 4.0 GHZ ( turbo boost 4.2 GHZ ) HyperX Fury 16 GB RAM Video card : ASUS ROG RX460 STRIX OC 4 GB Power source : Corsair 550 W HDD : Seagate 500 GB SDD : Seagate 120 GB What's your opinion on this PC ? Is it decent ? Is it bad ? And one thing I want to ask is : You think is possible to run the game Cyberpun 2077 with this setup when it finally comes out ? or you expect the system requirements to be much higher ?

cpu still decent if OCed (it can easily go to 4.7-5Ghz based on your mobo and fan) but you need to OC with bus speed not just cpu multiplier. you need 1866+ MHz ram also (most likely your ram can do that). You need to change your GPU and PSU (bcoz this cpu in OC can drain up to 300w and with more powerfull gpu you will need 600+w 12v) rest decent

Upgrade GPU+PSU, overclock ram+CPU, enjoy.

2019-06-12 22:18
You need to at least change GPU man
2019-06-12 22:18
Threadripper and rx460 xd
2019-06-12 22:20
Threadripper??? XDD
2019-06-13 11:05
Maybe you don't realize about what GPU I'm talking about... It's not this : it's THIS : And this one is kind of equal to the 1080 so why the fuck would I change it ?
2019-06-12 22:22
Kind of equal to 1080 pls man be serious. It's no match to 1080. It can be a match to 1050ti Edit: Your cpu is also bad. I wouldn't prefer to take any amd beside ryzens
2019-06-12 22:30
Well assuming this PC is almost 4 yrs old I wouldn't say is THAT bad... btw this gpu pisses on 1050.. let's be serious, maybe you're right and it's not as good as 1080 now that I think about it but it's definetly better than 1050 wtf..
2019-06-12 22:32
I was talking about 1050ti. Here you can see that 1050ti is better in every single way Edit: You expect to run cyberpunk 2077 with CPU from 2012 and medium tier card from like 3 years ago?

Wtf are you talking about men))) ? RX 460 is absolutely nothing compare to GTX 1080
2019-06-12 23:53
Wtf men rx460 bestest the rtx titan
2019-06-13 11:04
Wtf am I reading

2019-06-13 11:10
As I SAID you fuckin' retarded... that's not my GPU that you just used for comparison! This is my GPU :
2019-06-13 22:00
and you think that this version is 100x faster than a regular 460 or what? xDDDD
2019-06-13 22:11
it's not 100x faster Cpt. Obvious and if we talk arrogant like that not even your mighty 1080 isn't.. the point is that the GPU is not that little shit you taught, it's definetly better and can run games that 1080 also runs... for Godsake I just played Withcher 3 with this exact same setup 2 days ago man wtf..
2019-06-13 22:38
I didn't even wanna shittalk ur gpu but I said it because you said the 460 is equal with a 1080. And no, i don't have a 1080 myself.
2019-06-13 22:45
The version you have has 4GB of VRAM instead of 2GB on the normal RX460 and a slightly bigger bandwidth. It is no match for 1080, sorry :(
2019-06-13 22:46
its literally the same fucking gpu with more vram and better cooling, it performs maybe 5-10% better than the 2gb model

"pisses on 1050" - your gpu might be at most 1% better than the one you say it's not the one you got. we're talking about the same gpu in essence, there might be a small tweak or two but nothing major, you would notice like a 1 or 2 fps difference here you have it, with the gpu you own:
2019-06-13 22:58
cpu+gpu combo are weak but at least you can oc them, wait 2 years more and upgrade whole mb+cpu+ram+gpu block now that amd is bringing competition

Sorry but your pc is garbage, would almost be better to just make/buy a new one
2019-06-12 22:59
How do you see it as that bad? I think it looks pretty decent to me, sure there are faster ones but no need to buy what is not needed - much better to upgrade when really needed.

Cpu: Garbage socket to work with and you have no other options than to upgrade the mobo and the ram if you want replace it Gpu: Same as a gtx1050 = pretty dam bad And 120gb of ssd, you will run out fast
2019-06-12 23:41
CPU: How the socket is to work with doesn't matter unless an upgrade is needed. With the general age of the system a new main board is likely needed anyway, so even then is doesn't matter. GPU: It is okay for lower res or if the frame rate requirements are modest. Anyway it is easy to upgrade, so no reason to diss the whole rig over that. SSD: Only if you need more space and like the GPU swapping or adding a bigger one is easy. I really think you should have been more nuanced in how you rated the rig at the start, just calling it garbage wasn't really helpful.

Well thats what it is imo Yeah maybe true im little bit harsh on it, but with my standards its just bad, my opinion has always been to buy something good when you start, I have gone trough the way of buying something okay and then upgrading it, always ending up using more money that way
2019-06-12 23:51
A bit I think :) I do the same as you when building computers.. Quality PSU, good main board, careful chosen components all over and while it costs extra I do think it makes for a better experience and also means a system that is more suited for upgrades over time. My current is getting near its end of life, with the CPU an Core i7 870 that I bought when it was brand new, starting to be a bottle neck. But it has served me well, the GPU is now the third one and I absolutely made the right choice back then. I am thinking some things might be carried over, like the Fury X GPU and all the storage, but new main board, CPU+cooler and RAM for sure is needed - right now I am just waiting on the reviews coming 7/7.
2019-06-13 00:13
buy something good when you start you said ? Well I bought this PC around 2012-2013 when i started gaming... you don't think I was buying something pretty good at that time ?
2019-06-13 22:03
6-7 years is a long time in PC gaming. It is getting pretty outdated.
2019-06-13 22:48
7 year old CPU with horrible single core performance and IPC, 3 years old GPU that was a low end card at release
2019-06-13 22:54
LOL Sure, it seems your username is wrong somehow. As I game in 4K the CPU is not that important and no, the Fury X was definitely not low end back then which btw. was in 2015 as it was neck and neck with the 980Ti. And even now it is not exactly slow - it is somewhere between a 1060 and a 1070 which is still decent - especially since it is near silent unless it is really pushed. Anyway as I mentioned my rig is coming to the end of its life, what comes next depends on the reviews as 7/7 as I might go for something there or I might wait for the Ryzen 9 3950X which is to come a little later. Since AMD looks to bring their mid-range GPU's first I am thinking the Fury X might stay at first as I wait for there to be a really silent version of the new cards and/or a top end card.

I was talking about OP's pc lol

LOL Then that makes more sense.

go 500GB ssd and 1TB HDD
2019-06-12 23:31
I think it is decent. If you want to upgrade I think you could go further by just swapping the GPU, but if it really needed depends on at what resolution you play. Possibly a nicer monitor might be a better investment. Also if you're running the OS and such from the disk drive and not the SSD you can make it a snappier machine by getting an SSD for that, it won't change frame rates but make the system react faster in general and SSD's have become cheap.

GTX 960 minimum for cyberpank i think.
2019-06-12 23:56
Probably wont run Cyberpunk @1080p 60fps
2019-06-13 22:51
How much you expect to spend in your pc?
2019-06-13 22:52
bad, no
2019-06-13 22:57
this pc even in 2012 couldnt run cs go at stable 200 fps, wtf is this shit
2019-06-13 23:05
i have a desktop with same cpu, asus motherboard and nvidia gtx 970 ti, 8gb ram, the cpu was good when i bought it, about 9 years ago, but i overclokced to 4.5, a few years ago i couldnt overclock it anymore, i guess i sucked the life out of it, so now i can only run it at 4 ghz. it runs csgo pretty good, fps never go under 210, depends on server as well. you can get a newer cpu but if you are tight on cash, this cpu should be good enough.
