haha anyone under the age of 70 knows Tom Brady. If they don't they live under a rock. Similar to basketball players like Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Shaq, Lebron. 3rd world countries like yours may be the exception however

I didn’t watch his games in 60s, but from the early age my “main” hobby was football history, because my grandpa was well known footballer in that time, and I tried to gather a lot of information and me and my family sponsored two books about football history of our state/city.

Messi Gerrard Ronaldo (CR7) Iniesta Robertson - this man is and will be the best defender hardest working defender you will ever see.
2019-06-13 09:51
Michael Laudrup should probably be top5 - maybe in top10(?) He's most likely relativ unknown to most people under 25 y/o - unless you're from Spain or Scandinavia. One of the most undervalued players in history. When he played for Barcelona, they won 5 - 0 over Real Madrid. When he went to Real Madrid, they won 5 - 0 over Barcelona. A few Quotes on Michael Laudrup: Romário: "The best player I have ever played with and the 4th best in the history of the game" Iniesta: "Who is the best player in history? Laudrup." Messi: "I fully understand why he is considered one of the best players in Barcelonas history and even the world." Cruyff: "One of the most difficult players I have worked with. When he gives 80–90% he is still by far the best, but I want 100%, and he rarely does that." Platini: "Michael had everything except for one thing: he wasn't selfish enough." Guardiola: "The best player in the world, I can't believe he hasn't won the title as best player." Roberto Galia: "I have played against Maradona, Platini and Baggio. But the player I saw do the most indescribable things was Michael Laudrup." I dare you to find anyone who's even near Laudrups niveau when it comes to passing. If you're bored, enjoy the wildest passing compilation, you've ever seen: youtube.com/watch?v=9zUsCZvol-I

If i am not wrong - he played for denmark on wc'98 with his brother on a team (or maybe jsut some1 with the same surname)
2019-06-14 12:50
True, he played with his brother Brian Laudrup in wc'98, where they lost 2-3 to Brazil. Unfortunately, he didn't play when Denmark won European Championship in 92', because of some disagreements with the coach.

2019-06-14 14:21
Didn't watched him but you seem a little biased
2019-06-14 23:30
How do you know, if you haven't watched him? He was even a part of the best football team the world have ever seen - Cruyff's Barcelona dreamteam. Back then, it was only allowed to have three foreign players on the team, and Laudrup was one of them. The only reason, he doesn't get that much "credit" or is remembered by the world, is that he was a quiet guy, and very unselfish.
2019-06-14 23:44
I just think if he was the best player in history he would get more credit, but judging by what you're saying he probably is underrated
2019-06-14 23:46
Haven't said anywhere, that he was the best player in the world. Literally the first sentence in the first post: "Michael Laudrup should probably be top5 - maybe in top10(?)"
2019-06-14 23:49
Just said that because of the quote from iniesta

All the people mentioning Ronaldinho and not mentioning Ronaldo are making me cringe. Ronaldinho had a pretty good peak but Ronaldo was a whole unit and consistently a top player for about a decade. Ronaldo is easily a top 10 player of all time while Ronaldinho doesn't dodge top 15 in terms of consistency in numbers, trophies and collective/individual awards.

Are we basing this on skill or statistics? Skill wise (ranking at their prime level) 1. Ronaldinho 2. R9 3. Maradona 4. Cruyff 5. Zidane If were talking about Statistics 1. CR7 2. Messi 3. Pele 4. Romario 5. Gerd Muller
2019-06-14 23:36
Htf Cr7 is above messi in stats???
2019-06-15 11:20
Yeah the way I rate stats are based on competition should be easy to follow obviously, Messi has better stats in La Liga, Ronaldo has overall better Champion League stats including most goals scored in a Champions League, Most consecutive games with a goal, Most goals scored of all time in Champions League, he has better international stats, he's the only player to ever win league title in 3 major leagues Serie A, La Liga & EPL. This is just some examples I could literally go on for days with this fucking guy CR7 his stats and achievements are unmatched by anyone of this generation and it isn't close. As I said Messi is without a doubt the best player statistically of all time in La Liga, football is much more than just La Liga. Edit: Also don't come with this "team achievements" bullshit, CR7 has just as much individual awards as his team achievements and notice the difference? WTF has Man Uth done after Ronaldo left let me ask you? What happened to Real Madrid this season? Bro don't come at me with any non sense, this guy can play anywhere, at any level, for any team and make them great, Messi never proved that... Argentina is overated af and shit IMO so we can only go off Barca my guy but yeah no matter who you think is "better", Ronaldo had a better career.

1. Messi 2. Pelé 3. Maradona 4. Cristiano Ronaldo 5. Cruyff/Zidane/Di stefano if you consider "peak" then R9 could be at the top 2. But all time best you can't say something other than those names (the particular order is a matter of opinion).

Mate, come on, Lawrence Taylor was a generational beast and an absolute game-changer. He is definitely top3, if not higher.
2019-06-16 04:24
Yeah Lawrence Taylor was godly but I prefer the ones I named over him. My favourite player growing up was Brain Dawkins the man changed the NFL.
