2.4x easier, but you need at least 144fps all the time, ideally 288fps to have 2 frames per each window
Its a major difference. If you go from 144hz back to 60hz it feels like 20fps.
people gonna dislike my opinion but it makes even more difference in games like bf4. i used to play it competitively and it improved my game a lot
144 is so much better you should try it yourself
it will feel like you halved your reaction time.
everything is insanely fast.
huge advantage over 60hz.
144hz is so much better than 60 that only the people who think hz don't matter think there's no difference
Provided you get a stable 144 FPS, or at least very close to that, you'll notice smoother mouse movement, so it'll be easier to track people when spraying, or before firing the first shot (e.g. when sniping). It also improves your reaction time slightly, though that's not as noticeable, you can test this by changing your monitor to 60 Hz and comparing the results on HumanBenchmark.
The eye can only see at 3 fps

higher hz makes a world of difference but also make sure the monitor your getting is also 1ms response time.
It's bullshit i know people with 60hz playing fpl c , it's all depend if you have a good gamesense and good decision making
i feel like the skill ceiling is higher at higher hz you will not want to play some games that average 60 as a result but really worth it since a vg248qe is around 120$usd used
You only need 2hz, one for each eye.
OKAY. So i got a 144hz monitor and i can tell a difference. But i swear to god when i watch streamers play csgo i can see it even more smooth on the stream than my own game
I dont know whether this is because im not getting incredibly high fps or what but its really frustrating
It actually makes a huge difference. if you imagine a player crossing mid doors on dust 2. If you're playing at 60hz then you'll see that player for maybe 8 frames, with the first one maybe showing the player already quite exposed. With 144hz you'll see that player for about 19 frames, and you'll see him the instant he starts crossing, making the shot so much easier to hit.
Thats kind of a weird example of where its good but I wanted an actual application of its advantages and thats the first thing I thought of. Very much worth the purchase if you can afford it.
I remember going on 144hz for bf4 back in the day. Now its the standard, cant do 60hz lag fest
can someone help:
went from a 60 hz to the 144hz msi g24c curved monitor and now i cant play stretched :(
play 640x480 and get 240hz, ezpz
I became insane as soon as I switched.
Holy shit. When people said that the difference was "pretty noticeable" I was like "meh, probably a waste of money" Until I saw how fucking insane this shit is. 60hz feels like absolute shit now and I don't think I can ever go back. It's like playing a whole new game. If you're considering getting a 144hz, do it right now, you will not be upset.
massive dif, incredible upgrade, definitely recommend if you have the finance
It's a big difference and you'll never want to go back
Nowadays just get one if you can afford it and require an upgrade. They're dirt cheap.
LTT even reccomends 144hz for people who just browse the web and use office.
If you're a colophile its a different story...
Sidenote: If your monitor is old you might be able to overclock it, I managed to run mine at 83hz for 2 years before upgrading to 144hz a week ago.
Well theoretically it should make your reaction time literally faster (by ~10ms or so). So I mean I guess you have an advantage, but I just think it's easier on the eyes.
