Listen to me , this is a long process , much longer than losing weight , you gotta do it intelligently , I see some idiots recommending you to eat more and go to the gym , don't do that if you don't want to have stretch marks all over your body and then fall into depression , that's usually how it ends. Monitorize for one week how many calories you are eating at every meal and then increase with 10% percent for a month and you add 10% percent more as the months passes , this way you will end up looking shreded , sculpted , and yes you can go to the gym while doing this but moderately until your body gets used to it

You just need to be in a caloric surplus. He probably has a weak metabolism so he probably needs like 2300 calories for maintance. He just needs to eat plus 300-500 calories, so 2600-2800 and he'll be gaining like 0.5kg a week which is a healthy thing. Stop saying bullshit about 'stretch marks'. Has nothing to do with diet lol. The thing you said about raising calories by 10% is when you go in a fast cut and then you want to go back to maintance. If you are skinny and you want to add weight and muscle mass you need to train, be in a caloric surplus and track your macronutrients. 'I'm studying this domain so stfu'.
