Drivers license
 |
Latvia KitchenApplianceCommonName
I had to pay almost 1000 euros to get mine drivers license (which is cheaper than most countries) but when i heard that in USA its like 100$ i was like....wtf? In usa train for like an hour meanwhile in europe you had to go trough theory which takes 20 hours or more and also practical driving which also takes about the same time (without extra) Is it even safe to drive in us..i mean you might aswell just get your drivers license in cereal boxes

I don't know how it is in Sweden obviously, but in Denmark this is the legally required stuff to get a drivers license: 29 lessons in theory 4 lessons on a closed practice circuit 16 lessons in maneuvers on road 4 lessons in maneuvers on a technical driving facility Total of 53 lessons of 45 minutes each. Only approved Driving instructors can apply for you to go to a theoretical and practical test, and you need to bring a filled and signed Plan of all the 53 lessons completed, with date etc. This is straight from my own Teaching plan, I've just completed the first exam to become a Driving instructor, and will teach my first student later this year, and be fully certified in December. Ps. I'm pretty sure there's some EU stuff that try and make it similar in all EU countries to take a drivers license, so I would assume that it's the same in Sweden.
2019-06-25 15:12
shit 53x45 must be a pain if you already know how to drive, and im happy your not forced to that in sweden. On lesson cost about 1000sek

2019-06-25 15:22
wait, so you not allowed to drive with anyone else then the school? In sweden you and whoever you want as your teacher has to go to a 3h theory class. The teacher must have had its licence without violations for 5years. And to pass the driving test you need to know how to drive?

I'm not sure if you're trolling or if it's actually that retarded in Sweden. It sounds like you're talking about getting a drivers license in Cambodia. Everything is done by a certified Driving Instructor, with a special car fitted with brake/clutch, and full set of mirrors in the passenger side. It's a 1,5 year education, self-paid, around €10k + you need a drivers license for cat. A + B + C + C/E. Motorcycle, Car, Truck and Truck + Trailer.
2019-06-25 15:55
its the same way in norway and we have about 70% less deaths in traffic then denmark. So i dont know whats retarded

Dude.. What are you even talking about. Sweden is 25 per 1 mio citizens, Denmark is 32. Among the safest in the world. But a VERY important factor you forget here, is car safety. This is such a critical factor when looking at deaths in traffic. Denmark has the highest taxes on cars, and if you look at the purchasing power of a Swede vs a Dane, it's very similar. But what can a Dane buy compared to a Swede? You guys can go out and buy a Volvo S90 for €33.000,- We can buy a Volvo S90 for €88.300,- Just imagine the INSANE difference this makes in the overall road safety. Our cars in Denmark are useless pieces of shit, unless you're a millionaire. Young people drive around in shitty Golf 3's, when in other places around Europe, young people just buy a cheap, new car.
2019-06-25 16:21
My bad didn't look at deaths car accidents / 100k population. Most swedes drives a car between 1-20k$ and one of the safest cars you can buy cost about 2-3k$

2019-06-25 15:07
Most package deals include the minimum theory and driving lessons and a mandatory first aid course. They normally cost around 9,000 DKK. You will have to pay around 5–600 DKK for the theory exam and the same or double for the driving exam. Most people do not pass the exams in the first go and will have to pay for additional driving lessons and exams. Most people will therefore end up paying 11–15,000 DKK for their licence. This is denmark. A licence cost 1200ddk But most ppl spend 11-15000ddk

I already explained it to him. In Denmark you're required by law to have 53 lessons in total (45 min each), and it cost around €2000 in total, if you get a cheap school. Good places have +3 months waiting list, and cost €2500.

Yeah it is. It's more the fact that it has to be supervised. Some people my age were lucky in that their parents would start work after their school started, so they'd drive the car to school and then swap with their parents. Sadly I can't do that and I have no idea how the hell I will manage fifty hours. It doesn't cost as much money as it does for you but the cost of time makes up for it.
2019-06-25 12:04
hmm interesting here you have to be supervised by a proper driver instructor and have to take about 15 hours of practical lessons before you are allowed to take the practical exam for the license

nah germany is the most expensive I would say. With 22 hours (you drive always 2 hours so in total 11 times) + driving on highways, at night, and country roads (which needs a total of 12 hours 3 three times each 4 hours in total. plus the theoretical and practical exams it can cost you up to 2000€ +, but germany + their schools think that they are so special in terms of cardriving (that is pure scam and bs), that they can request something this huge amount. Yes they are some drivingschool where you can achieve it with 1300 but the average is between 1800€ - 2000+€

The theory test in the UK costs £29 and it's really easy, I just studied the night before and passed it no problems. I got 48/50 on the questions part and 71/75 on the hazard perception part. I paid £23/hr for my driving lessons and probably had around 60 hrs in total, which is quite a lot but I just kept having them until i felt really comfortable. The actual driving test costs £62 and I passed mine first time with one minor which was for passing a parked car too closely. So all together I probably spent around £1500 Been driving for just over a year now and it's going great, only nearly been hit about 4 times so far.

If you’re under 18 you have to take a drivers ed course and log a bunch of hours after you get your temps, then pass the driving test to get your actual license. If you’re 18 you don’t have to take drivers ed and can get your temps and then potentially right away get your license if you pass the driving test.
