im not an expert but maybe it doesnt fit with the config

" ensure that a dual+ channel XMP BIOS profile is enabled" you need to have your rams in 1 & 3 slots or 2 & 4 slots
2019-06-25 16:15
It is indeed enabled and it's placed in 2 & 4 slots so I don't know what's the problem

I don't have 970 Evo Plus but I have the 970 Evo userbenchmark.com/UserRun/17814519 for most normal things you probably won't notice a difference at all. Maybe some games/os load faster but only very slightly. A good SATA SSD will be just fine unless you're doing 4k video editing or something like that.
2019-06-25 16:10
Well I do some high-quality video rendering sometimes but it's not 4k

Ok then if you can afford it go for the 970 Evo Plus I guess. I don't do any video editing or something like that so I couldn't tell you how much of a difference it makes in your case.

EVO 970 is the best, but it's expensive. If you're looking for good budget storage, I'd definitely recommend Western Digital's 1TB SSDs, or even cheaper (usually dirt cheap/the cheapest SSD storage available rn) is the Crucial MX500 1 TB; sometimes I can find the Crucial MX500 for like 35$.
2019-06-25 15:56
Well it costs around 100$ here so I would say it's really expensive (250GB version)
2019-06-25 15:57
Jesus, that's really unfortunate. I'm in the States and you can usually pick up the MX500 for dirt cheap prices, usually these days along like 40-55$ max for 1. They aren't anywhere close to an EVO 970 because they aren't M.2, but coming from a strictly HDD-based user for the longest time, the MX500 is still fast as Hell for the price. Edit: Just Googled, in hindsight I should've probably done so before offering information, but the MX and apparently all the other budget SSDs I had before save a few, have risen exponentially in pricing again. I'm not really sure, but I can still find a few links that offer them for like 15$ cheaper but that isn't much. That's a fat shame, sorry man. E 2: The Samsung EVO 860 is half the price of the EVO 970, which may make it worth it if you can find any promos as well. Idk if you can use the Samsung app for the EVO 860 to speed it up like the 970, but if you can it might be worth it. Not really sure though, I'm OOTL for components these days.

I have Samsung 970 Evo Plus 256GB and this is my userbenchmark userbenchmark.com/UserRun/17569026 (it's the boot drive) edit:wrong link

That's pretty nice ty. I also think I should've bought i9-9900K instead of i7-8700k. Regret that decision now.

Samsung is lord of the SSD's by far. If you cant buy 970 then go for 860. Brands such as WD and Toshiba also have some good SSD s but u would go for Samsung anyway
2019-06-25 17:25
i suggest m.2 but you need kind new motherboard but believe its fast
