If you sleep 8 hours every night, (exactly 8), you'll be absolutely fine. All it's down to is habit. Human body likes habits and can adapt to habits. But inconsistency? 27, why? I had this for my whole life pretty much. I can live with 6-8 hours, but my body is very sensitive and I can notice easily if I sleep under ten hours. I have less energy for exercising and mind isn't 100% stable. I think the optimal is to sleep when you feel tired.

You ever considered you might have sleep apnea, where breathin stops while you sleep once in a while, so you wake up but u don't notice, cause it's like few mini seconds, which interrupt your sleep. + u need consistent sleep schedule, cause sleep has rythm of deep sleeps and small sleeps, and small sleeps is 2-3hrs in, and then deep sleep which makes u not tired starts around 4 hours sleep, so if u wake up before that, then it all starts again and ur tired in the morning.

There's 2 stages of sleeping, micro sleeps and deep sleeps are when you are asleep for 4 or more hours without waking up. The deep sleeps are what helps you not get tired, and sleep out all the tiredness you had, and get energy back up.
