It should be good fps with those settings, in my experience. When does these fps drops happen? near smokes or something like that? also have you tried that fps workshop map ?
2019-07-12 17:00
yeah, I've tried the fps workshop map, getting around 220-240 on average there. The fps drops usually happen 'random' , sometimes when a gun fight(with nades) is going on behind a wall or smth
2019-07-12 17:02
I've noticed that it gets a bit better if im not using teamspeak, but ts cant consume that much power

optimize your launch options: -high --> high priority in task manager -refresh 144 --> obvious -freq 144hz --> obvious -novid --> obvious -tickrate 128 --> obvious -threads 8 --> put number of cores you have -d3d9ex --> fast alt-tab
2019-07-12 17:05
tried them out without any changes, btw,d3d9ex is no longer needed
2019-07-12 17:06
you sure? takes 20secs without it for me....
2019-07-12 17:07
I remember that there was an update implementig a different command(same function) and then there was another update making it on by default(and it takes only 1-3 sec to alt+tab for me without any commands)
2019-07-12 17:10
Its on by default now, no need to have it console.
2019-07-13 04:32
I heard that d3d9ex has almost no effect
2019-07-12 17:10
for me it improved alt-tabbing speed by more than 90%.
2019-07-12 17:10
Are your parts old ?
2019-07-12 17:11
yea kinda. i7 3770k. ddr3 ram. gpu is new
2019-07-12 17:12
That might explain why it's faster. Newer parts have enough power that this command doesn't really affect them much.
2019-07-12 17:14
youre right. im kinda bottlenecking my gpu rn. got new mb, ram, etc but no new cpu. gotta wait til the next paycheck.
2019-07-12 17:17
Gl man, i'm waiting for my paycheck to get a monitor. Sick of using vga to hdmi converters... (I have double monitor setup and both of them are vga lul)
2019-07-12 17:19
i know the struggle from trying to have an all-in-one-setup with my xbox included. i had to remove the cover from the audio cable to be able to put it in since the convertere was too thick. then i isolated it with duct tape. looks russian af LOL
2019-07-12 17:21
Yeah i know the pain man, i did things similar to that many times. Knowing my luck, i'll say that i will probably get a monitor with dead pixels...

check your var in net_graph if ur cs freezes u may change csgo installation disk. if your disk have 99% load, you should check OS updates and turn it off cuz it take disk's resources i'm not an expert in pc and english, don't blame me
2019-07-12 17:06
my disk has less than 50% load, but I'll try to disable windows updates, spasibo
2019-07-12 17:08
Install the game to ssd if you have one, if you have hdd and the game is on that, check your hdd health and partitions uour hdd might be damaged or about to die. My hdds died so many times that i now check my disk health regularly.
2019-07-12 17:13
this. i also sometimes get drops ever since i switched from ssd to hdd
2019-07-12 17:08
yeah, sdd is obviously better than hdd. Ofc you might just say ' buy better pc' , and it will help But my setup shouldnt have that performance issues(
2019-07-12 17:11
you can always improve performance. there are so many things that can do that. might try that before spending a shitton of money for epic gamer pc.
2019-07-12 17:13
oh also.... do you use win7? if so... did oyu disable core parking?
2019-07-12 17:13
yeah, i use win7 and core parking is disabled
2019-07-12 17:22
damn. well... worth a try ;P now im running out of ideas...
2019-07-12 17:23
Lock it to 120 fps, you won't notice the drops to 100. Anything above 40-50fps more than your screen refresh rate is pointless I also recommend windows 10
2019-07-12 17:09
playing on 144 hz, and 144 hz feels honestly better than 120 hz
2019-07-12 17:12
Then set the limit to something like 170-180fps, it might help. (fps_max 170)
2019-07-12 17:16
tried it a few times, it still feels bad,

well idk then. Try formatting your pc and if that doesnt work just upgrade to windows 10. Theres honestly no reason not to
2019-07-12 17:13
yeah, guess I'll have to do the upgrade and hope for the best

Yea, people that say dont upgrade to win10 probably never tried it or have a terrible pc. You should be fine. You dont even need to but if you want, you can turn off the features you wont need (you can do it in the settings pretty easily) to guarantee max performance You can download windows 10 for free too, and if you dont mind the "activate windows" watermark, you dont even need to activate it. Just google "windows 10 media creation tool", the first link should be microsoft's website and you download it directly to a usb drive
2019-07-12 17:18
thank you bro<3
2019-07-12 17:22
Do you use a cracked version of windows that gives popups? Those can have a huge impact of fps, even if they are in the background. Also I know some people have had issue with various popus such as steam itself, origin etc. As always its recommended to only have 1 of those programs running if you encounter any issues. Besides that: try to turn off any program you dont need, you might even consider going into "safe mode" and start only steam and whatever you need to play and see if it does the same.
2019-07-12 17:15
no, everything licensed and clean. but ty anyway
2019-07-12 17:17
what about the second part I talked about? Sudden drops is csgo are most likely an issue with another software running or problems with the driver.
2019-07-12 17:18
no, everything fine, nothing running besides cs, faceit AC, steam, ts3

2019-07-12 17:22
