What happens to csgo players after they retire
venice |
Other The_Merchant_of_Venice
When csgo dies or the game stops or players get kicked out and cant find a good team, or players like lets say mixwell or victor retire what happens to them? Most csgo players might not have a college education or anything so where do they go to get paid if the game is dead. There can only be so many streamers right? How will they pay the bills

They become plumbers and stuff

ok but the difference in taxes from their pay is enough to pay for college.

Except in their system you pay for it through taxes after you graduate, they’re never indebted. Here you have to come up with the money upfront whether it’s cash, loans, grants, and scholarships. Then you have to pay off the loans after just like you would a tax, except they don’t care if you don’t have a job or are struggling, they’re going to get their money one way or another with interest.

dunno how student loans and shit not stress out americans
2019-07-16 03:47
More than half of the Americans die nowaday indebted. It has becomes the norm, as well as taking loans they won't ever be able to repay. The system still works, but it's utterly fucked and should implode sooner or later.
2019-07-16 03:59
Imagine supporting this system. Bankers laughing all the way to the.....bank.

Trust me I don’t get it, conservatives defend the shit even though they suffer from the same problems. Fox News is the most effective propaganda machine in history.
2019-07-16 04:17
Then they will say you are the one brainwashed by the msm, as if foxnews despite their enormous rating wasn't msm, wtf?

Most of that isnt student loan debt, its usually from mortgages as the average American does a 30 year payoff plan.

I never implied it was.

This discussion is about student loans, I dont think ppl should buy houses like they do, but I have no issue with student loans.
2019-07-17 04:12
I was giving an interesting piece of information to someone else. I think it was pretty clear and no one is going to be confused with what i said. What are you trying to start here?

im not, you replied to a discussion about student loans implying your info was about student loans.

Refer to the op to see that what i was replying to was already off rail. I was being leniant, but i don't feel like arguing over semantic and what you *perceived* i was conveying.

Except with mortgages you’re not truly indebted because you can turn around and sell it. You can’t sell off your student loans.

Yea but most people owe more on their house then its worth so you cant really do that. Most just sell for loss and cancel it but that kills your credit.

No you owe less than what it's worth at any given time. Say you put down 10% on a $100,000 house, you owe $90,000. That house is worth more than what you currently owe. If the value of the house doesn't increase much overtime then you may still lose money overall due to having to pay interest on the loans, but bottom line you can get out of the debt just by selling the house. No harm to your credit, if anything it'll help your credit because now you don't owe thousands. Houses aren't like cars where value goes down thus resulting in you potentially owing more than it's worth.

the average mortage is 4.4% over 30 years, that puts a $250,000 it will cost you $1,250,000.

You don't instantly owe all the interest. It's not like you buy a $100,000 home then all of a sudden all the interest that's supposed to be collected over 30 years gets tacked on immediately so it ends up being $150,000 you owe. If you pay off the house early by 20 years, in this case by selling, you don't have to pay the 20 years of interest. Unless the bank has early pay off penalties, at which point you're stupid for signing up for a mortgage with them. Even with the penalties it's no where near the 20 years of interest.

it builds up fast though, its designed so that most poeple owe much more than its worth so that if they want to move it kills their credit score causing future rates to be higher.

You're not getting it. You literally cannot owe more than what the house is worth unless the value of the home drops significantly. You may still lose money overall once you sell due to you making high interest payments and/or the value of the home not increasing, but that's not that same as owing more than what it's worth. Your credit should not go down unless you actually defaulted on the loan. The more debt you are in the harder it is to get a loan, by selling the house you would be in less debt.

Trust me it does. I think there should be free college but some people don’t understand how to play the game within the current rules. It’s dumb to go to a $50,000 year school when your family is poor, scholarships aren’t going to cover it, and your future job doesn’t make that much. You also can’t declare bankruptcy on student loans, so they follow you forever.
2019-07-16 04:13
i would die in hearth failure the second semester knowing i have to pay back fuck ton of money if i left the school or more money after actually finishing it

ok but like you could just pick a usefull degree. With average living costs and such ill pay back my $50k loan (thats for all 4 not each year) in about 2-4 years if I save alot for retirement and spend a decent amount on myself still. and thats if I make average 75k a year starting pay.

Most people aren’t going to make a starting pay of 75k a year. And are you factoring in rent, food, books, transportation and tuition into your price there? 50k for 4 years is average for just tuition at an actual non-community college/university. If you’re living on your own away from your parents you can expect to pay double in just living expenses.

I live on my own and thats what im taking in loans at a private college.. also if you arent going to get decent pay out of college, its not a worthwhile degree. Im factoring everything into that price because thats what im actually spending. You can get a part time job as well as a summer job which will lower the cost further.

75k is a lot even for a college education. My sister works in a blood bank and makes $27/hr and that’s considered a “valuable” STEM job.

M8 I worked at a blood blank, to be a phlebotomist you need 0 education. Some of ours didnt even go to college, it is not a stem job or valuable.

Were you running actual tests on the incoming donated blood, patient blood, on the plasma, on organs, sending all of those to the OR etc? You can’t do that without an education, you can kill someone. When she started at the hospital, they only hired bachelors degrees but now they hire associates due to high demand. And yes it’s not STEM, that’s my mistake.

I wasnt but I also wasnt a phleb I worked upstairs, I did know someone who became the lead of that department and never went to college, all it requires is a few classes totaling to about a week of training.
2019-07-20 02:58
"t’s dumb to go to a $50,000 year school when your family is poor" Which basically makes top class education only available for the wealthy. Really shouldn't be the solution to the problem

Most private colleges are worse than the top public colleges due to lack of resources. If you’re poor and going to an Ivy League school you’re likely getting scholarships to pay for it. I’m talking private schools that are nothing special or they’re religious so it’s 2-10x the cost for no reason.

They go to college after cs? Its not too late for university when you are 30 or 35. Its never too late. Or they work at some factory or some restaurant or any other "lower" job.
2019-07-16 03:58
Well if CS died right now: - Karrigan would have his master degree and get a job. - Ropz is young enough to go to university. - Frozen has high school to finish. - sergej has high school to finish. - Everyone in Team Liquid is young enough to go to university. - Zywoo university - NBK, Niko and Fer would end up as mcdonalds workers since they blew their money. - Apex has his mental disability money. - VP players made so much money they can retire already.
