Nice work/gaming laptop

Is anyone familiar with great work/gaming laptop hybrids? Or maybe you know what to look for? im looking for something that is easy to carry around and wont take up much space on the typical desk/work space. Preferably not so loud. Even recommending brand names is a great start/help, personally I've loved the Lenovo selection but its not for gaming.

Does Google not work in Canada anymore? Basic requirements for me would be: - 16GB of RAM - 250GB SSD + HDD, or a bigger SSD - 6-8 physical CPU cores - 1080p screen

I agree with #5 though, you'll have a better experience and more value per dollar if you just get a normal laptop and gaming PC.

problem is they tend to be really big and flashy, probably heavy too and most definitely expensive, i think what i'll do is just get a good work laptop and gaming pc separate, it'd make both of them last longer anyways

This one looks good, 1660ti and 120hz screen is nice, has 256gb SSD and 1tb HDD, 16gb ram is good too. Only thing idk about is the ryzen CPU, i'm using a desktop ryzen cpu but idk about the mobile versions. But looking at the other parts, i would say it's good. These specs are really ideal, beyond these would be overkill for a laptop. Having the latest gpu and cpu in laptops just doesn't make sense, they mostly thermal thottle and don't give the full performance that the parts can potentially give.

Go for ryzen instead of intel Rest #4

maybe you are better off with a gaming PC and some lower end work laptop. That's my case, I hate how gaudy these higher performance laptops look. Also it's not like working in Office programs is very HW demanding. I have Xiaomi notebook pro 15,6" btw, looks nice, but too Apple-ish. Dogshit for gaming, but I have a PC to play, so whatever. EDIT: I forgot to mention that one of my criteria when choosing a laptop is weight and how long the battery will last, gaming laptops generally weight more and last for like 3 hours tops. Look for something that lasts 8+ hours, so that you won't need to carry a power brick with you.
