Never But I will soon build my own PC (maybe during the holidays), with approx those specs: i9 9900k GTX 1080 Ti or RTX 2080 16 Go ram 500 Go SSD 1 To HDD and buy some new devices too: Screen: probably a BENQ (don't know which one yet) Headset: Hyperx Cloud 2 Keyboard: Hyperx alloy fps And I will rekt asses
2019-07-17 11:13
new one is 8/8
2019-07-17 11:22
Once you've had a PC with SSD for a bit, you just won't be able to go back. The user experience is on a whole new level, and you start taking it for granted. Your planned build looks solid, but I'd definitely pick a 2080 over 1080 Ti. As for the CPU, I'd go for Ryzen 3900 if I were you. And that's coming from an Intel fanboy that is waiting for i7-9700k delivery. After Zen 2 release. If you aren't too picky (like some of my mates are) about colours, you can try BenQ XL2411P. Solid 24" 144 Hz screen, doesn't cost a fortune.

My PC is a faking 10/10 built man. Perfectly complimenting components. What you are saying is that newer PCs get 10/10 and older ones get 3/10? My 6 year old PC still plays new games like a baller hence why a 10/10 PC.

You can’t overclock a non-k chip by .6ghz You might have a 6700k but you might not cause the base clock for a 6700 is 3.4ghz

You can overclock cpu without k mine is i7 6700 without k it goes max to 4hgz
2019-07-17 13:35
You can't overclock non-k CPU's, Intel artificially locked them so people buy the more expensive k + more expensive boards aswell. What you meant is that your CPU boost to 4ghz, that's not OC, just normal turbo boost and it's just one core.

No, thats not how that works, you dont need more ram because you have more GPU's, 16gb is enough.

to let both of ur gpu's perform 100% u definitely need more ram, though i doubt there's any task which would use 100% from both of them xd

What are your temps on air bro? Thinking of using a dark rock pro 4 but scared of overclocked temps. Also, what are you frames in cs at different res in faceit games? Sorry for being so needy but it would really help me out. Ty ty

Temps are around 30-50 idle and 50-70 with variable loads like gaming or video editing. I was going for a dark rock pro 4 but it isnt available anywhere else in my location. But it is almost the same as my NH-D15, So i had to choose noctua's. They're on par if youre concerned on it. So i think a dark rock pro 4 will do you just fine or better than mine :D I get a constant 300-350 on average on faceit matches, and above 250 when full player FFAs I hope this solves your curiosity :D

Thanks so much for the answer my dude, this has helped loads! Fortunately for me The DRP4 is available and I'm going for a non rgb build so it seems perfect. Those temps are awesome to see too, have you bothered overclocking the cpu at all? Also thanks so much for the reply, so helpful.

Yes, it is pretty crazy. And also shows the benefit of being able to upgrade PC's over time. I have an old Mac Pro of similar vintage that's not even usable any longer. If I shut down non-essential processes (which I usually don't, but whatever) I never see it drop below 150fps at 2560x1440 native. If I drop the res it makes only a 10-20fps difference. Monitor (ASUS PB328Q) isn't exactly gaming-grade so it's no matter. As for CPU, CS seems to use all available cores but without hyperthreading.

Dunno tbh, just got it. Running Apex Legends on everything maxed out whilst recording gameplay with 150fps capped. Guess for CS:Go its deffo enough :)

ty bruh I am considering about this cpu/ram/ssd
2019-07-19 13:12
The CPU is a beast. The ones above not worth the money imo + its faster than the bigger ones from ryzen series 2. I guess best Value/Money ration on the 3600 I'd rather buy this one for 200€ than spending 350€ for the 3700x. 150€ saved will be the lowest series 4 or 5 :)

4K with fury ? I aren’t think that
2019-07-18 12:04
Actually it isn't to bad and loads better than a card for it's age. guru3d.com/articles_pages/amd_radeon_r9_.. My rig is coming to its end life and really I have been waiting for the new AMD products to see what they offer and if they push Intel to bring something really new, only I had hoped AMD would also bring a new top end GPU so now I don't know. I think I may hold of till the Ryzen 3950 in September before taking the plunge, by that time the new 570 main board should also be past the worst issues.
2019-07-18 12:23
I have a second rig with a fury (non x), and even 1440p seems too much for it (at least in high detail). Performance is terrible in dx12, it’s on part with a 580.
2019-07-18 12:29
The HBM memory actually makes for going up in resolution not being that costly and I'm surprised your non-x isn't decent, maybe it depends on what game you're playing. Come to think of it I may not really have been playing any DX12 games.
