2019-07-18 01:10
they don't even need to participate major to be the biggest fluke oh, shit, they still didn't xDDDD
2019-07-18 01:10
xD
2019-07-18 01:12
"they still didnt" yea not like they have stickers right? lmfao -8/8
2019-07-18 03:50
Furia didn't reach the major they played in the qualifier and avoided 0-3 by winning 16-14 against spirit.
2019-07-18 13:33
major qualifier is official part of major, only on hltv it is called qualifier and HLTV is not TO, neither game developer
2019-07-18 13:35
they won't get any money if they don't qualify to major nly thing they'll get is back to the jungle about stickers, valve just felt sorry for these fools, and simplified their task
2019-07-18 14:21
just saying that it is still part of a major, nothing else
2019-07-18 14:22
yeah, part of major like minor, closed qualifiers etc, but not its main stage
2019-07-18 14:23
not saying it is main stage, but officially it is like part of that "big event" csgomajor.starladder.com/overview New Challengers Stage Verti Music Hall August 23 — August 26
2019-07-18 14:26
Not it's officially the major qualifier please use your brain
2019-07-18 19:05
New challengers stage still not major sorry
2019-07-18 21:47
So its not written on official website ye xD U r one of these guys who just denies facts bcz it used to be different
2019-07-19 07:57
Im still waiting for the words The New Challengers stage isnt a qualifier, it maybe a stage of the major and include stickers but it still isnt a part of the actual major event
2019-07-19 10:09
STARLADDER CS:GO MAJOR AUG 23 - SEP 8STARTS IN 35 DAYS from official website.....aug 23rd is the day that starts the part u call qualifier but as u can see that big ass title there is fucking written "STARLADDER CS:GO MAJOR AUG 23 - SEP 8"
2019-07-19 12:41
Yes the major starts with the major qualifier
2019-07-19 12:48

Not luck, skill
2019-07-18 01:23
Ence didnt play based on luck. They had good calls, hit their shots and played better. Its not luck, the better team won

If you think like that there weren't fluke teams in any major cuz all of them deserved to win or to have their run. Fluke for me is when the team just show up on the major and not in other tournaments.

Gambit for the overall run but C9 never should’ve won that final.
2019-07-18 01:10
C9 never should have won? They had a strong first half on Mirage, and then choked the lead away. They destroyed Faze on Overpass. The only map that really should have gone either way was Inferno, but C9 held their own and stayed confident. Let's not forget that Faze was the best team in the world at the time and C9 had never beaten them. Gambit beat a shit Immortals team.

London wasn’t luck dude, they beat all of the top teams (mibr, liquid, faze, navi) before winning it But in katowice, i would say it was luck, since their only tough opponent was MIBR (mibr choked so hard on overpass btw, they could’ve eliminated Astralis), after that, all of their opponents were not capable of beating them

Lol confirmed you know nothing, -directly after the major they came 3rd, 1 round from being in final at blast - went to starseries, had a close game with the team that won it, could have gone either way - won astralis in 3maps at blast at the time when astralis still seemed to know how to play cs -Went to dallas, came second vs liquid, also a close game But please, tell me all about how one bad luck tournament run made ence a fluke team

You act like C9 is a team with the same 5 players every time they play. No. C9 team was extremely solid and running up top 5 in every tournament then eventually won out in the majors. But of course during the time, the roster they had was extremely important. However, after winning major, 1 month later Stewie opt out of contract and that kind of ruined the whole team synergy. Once he signed with MIBR, 1 month later again, tarik went with him. If they were still playing in C9 today (with the same roster) then I'm sure we'll be seeing more differently. Today, they're a total mess with a very random roster so you can't really compare the C9 from before and the C9 from today.

Yes, but still c9 never was a #1 team, they should have never won that major, faze just choked the shit out of themselves, what did c9 ever win before, okay that one esl pro league where they beat choking mibr, but cant think of others
2019-07-18 01:40
If you actually followed C9 or any tournaments before and after ELEAGUE Major then you would KNOW how consistent C9 was with Stewie in the team. They were a VERY good team that kept winning 1st to 3rd place in tournaments before the major, then eventually won out in ELEAGUE major. Why and how do you think Stewie2k's name got so big that everyone in CSGO knows him? In 2017, he was basically the face of HLTV BECAUSE when he was in C9, they were consistently winning top 3 in almost every tournament they attended. If they were losing out at 5th place or higher then there is no reason for HLTV to keep making articles about Stewie. Go check C9's achievement record and see for yourself. They were a very solid team with tarik, stewie, automatic, skadoodle, and RUSH. The C9 with this roster was definitely not a fluke. Sadly, Stewie's contract ended right after the major (1 month after) and he moved to MIBR. Same with Tarik.

They only played with the new roster for a few months, and there were few tournaments so you can't say they were consistent for a long time. Although i do think they deserved their major win because all of their players played great.

When people talk about fluke, they need to talk about the team that won a major and CONTINUED with the SAME roster which ended up failing. Not changing up the rosters and judging organizations. Rosters are pretty much what makes the team. The biggest fluke in my opinion would be Gambit and Envyus. And yes, I'm only choosing teams that actually WON a major. Envyus is a fluke because right after they won the major, they stayed together as a team for several months but were failing in almost every tournament after the major. They were losing near last place and weren't making it to the finals or the semis. They were struggling so bad that it eventually broke up the team after about 3-4 months. After the team broke up, they never came back and eventually all French players were out of EnvyUs. Gambit on the other hand has the same story. We all knew they were a fluke when they made it to the finals. Extremely lucky run in their line-up and everyone knew that after they won the major, they would eventually never in again in the next tournaments. As predicted, that's exactly what happened. They couldn't win in any of the tournaments after major and eventually disappeared. This upcoming major, I believe Liquid will win it with their current line-up (past line-up were all sh!t so of course they didn't win major) and if they actually do win the major this year then they are officially the best team in the world. People who keeps saying that Liquid is a fluke clearly has no idea that winning 1st place in 4 tournaments in a row (streak) is not an easy feat, and definitely don't know what fluke means.

PGL Krakow overall , like wtf Immortals and Gambit in a major final ? At the same time ? VP in semi finals of a major in 2017 ? This event was pure shit. Boston was nice tho , even C9 should've lost against G2 and G2 should've won the major (omegalul) ENCE isn't a fluke it's more like a surprise

CLG, C9, ENCE, IMMORTALS, BIG, COL, GAMBIT, RENEGADES that's what i remember
2019-07-18 03:57
BIG, it wasn't really a fluke tho, they just abused a bug and only played inferno the entire event. I guess immortals is kinda tied with them, but they had the easiest path to the finals. PGL was just a shitty major overall

They probably fell apart because their results after the major werent good? They got rekt at Starladder and WESG,their 2 not shit results were 2nd at summit which they shouldve won and Katowice which was like ok. That is not good enough for a major champion

Gambit because C9 was actually a top5 team before the major, and even though ENCE was lower they turned out to actually be a good team in the next events not like Gambit(and C9 can be counted in too)
2019-07-18 13:06
Gambit were top 10 and had qualified for the legends stage consecutively they had god tier Igl Zeus and Adren.

Gambit C9 was at top5 before the major ENCE didnt win the major
2019-07-18 13:34
Gambit beat the best teams in the world not a fluke. C9 got lucky matchups in rigged seeding they were one of two na teams at an na major so of course they ogt the easiest matchups ever to pull off the 3-2 sweep proceeded to beat weak sk and choke clan so...

Neither one was a "fluke". This major will decide if ence was a fluke or not, if they reach semis or better you cant say shit. Cloud9: Sadly skadoodle decided to retire shortly after major +stew and tarik leaving for mibr. If it wasnt for that they would have stayed competitive. Gambit: Same thing there, they had a solid 5 with mou, hobbit and AdreN carrying (mou most underrated player imo) but since navi was struggling they took back zeus and ruined gambit
