Respect Ence !
 |
France LetsGoLiquid
Guys, let's have some respect please ! Liquid played their best map first then the more ct sided map in the pool as cts first, which is why they were so dominant early. Ence is not a fluke team and they earned their spot in the finals, the 3rd map showed it GGs Ence :)

I remember, in 2018, when Liquid was getting smashed by Astralis, people called them a fluke, or unworthy of a grand finals spot. Look at them now :)

Sure it helped, but don't act like this sole change made Liquid a powerhouse. They were a top team before. Same shit here. Maybe if sunny joins ence they become top1, that would not mean that ence without sunny was garbage.

you weren't on hltv then lol, coutless "wasted spot, liquid not top 2, navi would be better" threads
2019-07-22 03:07
"you weren't on hltv then lol" Nobody has said that to me before axaxaxxaxaxa Everybody was calling them a chokers, not a fluke. Maybe at first, but Liquid consistently made finals. Most people would agree that they were pretty consistent. The whole choking thing was a lot more popular due to the fact that they lost the New York final in fantastical fashion, and they never won a big event last year.
2019-07-22 03:53
TACO brought down last year's liquid look at MIBR now and Liquid now LUL

I'm against all that shit like calling team fluke because they get fucked in the finals, I mean Liquid was called fluke team throughout 2018 for hitting finals and getting smashed. :)
2019-07-22 00:58
Good to see some decent people here. Liquid was a total monster today for 2.5 maps. Elige and Twistzzzz nailed all shots in highest peak. It is good to see they finally got over the choking tendency that ruined them so many finals over the years.

"they earned their spot in finals" yes, by beating renegades (a team that, in the past 14 maps, has only won one), heroic (rank 14), and mibr with a coach (and they almost lost LUL). as soon as they went up against a tier 1 team they got battered

oh damn, they lost a bo1 to a really well playing Heroic on what is one of their best map, and then they lost a fairly contested bo3 to the second best team in the world, it surely means that they are tier 3 !! dude cologne is literally the only bad event they've had all year, yet you call them flukers ? the fluke was actually cologne, but whatever. they'll make playoffs at Berlin and retards like you will shut the fuck up, as always.

lmao okay bro, let's overlook the fact that the only team who challenged Vitality before the finals was Ence, let's just check raw numbers, see that they were 13-16th and conclude that they are on the same level as mvp pk, who also ended 13-16th.
2019-07-22 01:07
1st round match in Cologne: Liquid 16 - 14 MVP PK Just shows that bo1’s can be unpredictable.

vitality #2 team and who would prepare mirage against heroic anyways?
2019-07-22 01:07
Think guys that maybe different team wouldn't be able to win against teams which you named. For example, G2 lost to Mibr with coach and Ence won against them. Renegades is a pretty good team so I don't understand why you underrate them. Heroic is also such a nice team which they lost to in Cologne and many good teams I think did. Here they won.
2019-07-22 01:14
This tournament realistically had three top teams: ENCE, Vitality, Liquid. You got to see Liquid vs Vitality, and Liquid vs. ENCE. That's pretty much what was expected.
2019-07-22 01:18
Ence got their matchups because their good hltv rankings spot for which they beat teams like faze g2 and furia

Hltv really hates ence for some reason, the fact that a team that started a year ago and is now a top team really upsets people on this website for some reason, ence are a good team, probably a bad day for them and also liquid played really well, just respect both teams like you should do in a sport

yeah they hit top 4 at every single tournament they attend with the exception of Cologne where they lost a bo1 and a close bo3 to the #2 team in the world. Don't know how this is bad by any means.
2019-07-22 01:06
I think the main reason people hate ence is the bandwagoning fanbase. The EZ4ENCE meme has been dead ever since their major run and the finnish kids still use it everywhere. It's a fanbase i'm a part of but still despise the most.

Not only NA but the rest of the fucking world too, according to 95% of hltv ence is fluke, never did anything (when they hit top4 at every tournament they attended with the exception of cologne) and they're top 15 at best now. lol

Ya that's sad to see for a team full of young guns trying to prove themselves. It's as if HLTV would shit on Vitality and their success because it is a fluke cuz zywoo carry and rest of team is shit. Very one dimensional perspective everyone on HLTV seems to have. Ence was doing stuff even if there were some events they decided to not attend, that doesn't mean they 100% useless garbage.

It's sad that HLTV hates ENCE. Like 2 years ago no one would ever guess that Finnish cs team would be in the top5 in the world. And for Finnish cs scene, it was a very big thing that finally we had a team that we all could cheer for and they could actually compete against the best teams in the world. Liquid is playing very well and it's cool to see how they overcome their struggles and are now the top1 team in the world. All real Liquid fans should be happy that they were fans through the hard times and now its paying off :)

+1 I’ve been watching CS since allu was in his first major final (which is something most new ence fans probably don’t even know about). Just six months ago Finns were so happy to see a Finnish team in the major. Nobody believed we would be in the grand final. And now missing the final is a disappointment. It’s just unreal.

Not every team does it like Ence. I mean they were pretty unknown before major step up. Liquid have been up there in ranking for a long time compared to ence. They honestly deserved to finally be the best team. Y'all need to respect the grind of both teams to this state.
2019-07-22 01:07
Agreed. Ence earned their spot in the final. Too bad they didn't show up. Liquid was on another level. On a better day Ence could have made it more interesting but they were never going to win that bo5.

If you bypass all of the shittalk and look at stats directly, ENCE is the definition of a fluke. They came out in the major, and no one bothered to do their homework on ENCE because why would you? They surprised everyone, and since then they have been on a downhill slide, beating only T2 teams. Look at IEM Chicago for example. Renegades, as much as I love the boys, are firmly a t2 team at this point, Heroic is hardly a name many people recognize. Then they drop a map against MIBR, who are in disarray with Cold out of the lineup. They barely managed to pinch 20 rounds out in 3 maps. You may not LIKE the results, but you have to accept that ENCE was nothing more than a fluke. That's not to say that they wont develop into a strong team, but they have to have some growing pains first.
