TL 2019 = FNATIC 2015

pure individual firepower on low tactical base (nitr0 on TL; ponax & devilwalk on fnc), this "TL era" wont last longer than 3 months, astralis was way more dominant and stronger on individual power and tactical approach. fuck all the people who say TL are going to dominate everything
2019-07-22 15:15
Just like faze in 2017 start of 2018

kinda, as soon as TL wont get the results they want will, they get rid of a few players faster than expected (NA mentality)

Devilwalk wasn’t on that Fnatic team and nitro is much better than pronax was. And they have some strats as well, they’ll be good for a longer time. And the Fnatic era lasted a bit longer than 3 Months as well :D

well since mid 2014 it was flusha, JW, krimz, olof, pronax, not devilwalk
2019-07-22 18:56
Honestly you can’t say fnatic was not good tactically with pronax, did you ever fucking hear their team coms, there are literally whole games.

Compare astralis tactics to those 2015 strats omegalul, those tactics just worked cuz of 4 crazy mofos just like TL works
2019-07-22 15:29
Man, from 2015 to 2018 its 3 years. The game grow itself. Both tacticly and gamesense changed A LOT. If u compare NiP 2014 and fnatic 2015 (1 year) u will see the difference. 2015 fnatic changed the way of play. Examples: Play agressive banana in the car and sandbags. Bring tec-9 to meta. Ump with flusha. Cz gods. Just pointing.

Are you fucking idiot? Liquid has excellent tactics, but they are not as powerful as Astralis. Liquid`s tactics are clearly better than the rest at the moment. You can find them in YouTube

Liquid may not last long but if TL of today played Fnatic of 2015, Liquid would utterly embarrass them. Astralis showed how you handle the style of Fnatic (which was very similar to NiP): Team communication and well-thought-out strategies. Fnatic was a team of great fraggers, relying on game sense. If Fnatic of 2015 was playing yesterday instead of ENCE, it would have been much worse. Only Astralis last year would compete. And even then there were times they played that Liquids insecurities are what sunk them.

“If Fnatic of 2015 was playing yesterday instead of ENCE, it would have been much worse.” in no universe would 2015 fnatic ever lose 16-3 and 16-2 let alone all three maps in a bo5 against this current liquid roster. I’d give slight edge to TL bcuz of strats, but 2015 fnatic had >= TL firepower
2019-07-22 16:48
I think only Vitality or Astralis would last 5 maps against Liquid right now. Fnatic of 2015 may not have lost 16-2/16-3 on the first two maps (I'll give you that), but I think they'd still lost something along the lines of 16-8, 16-7, perhaps 16-13 on Inferno. It would have been closer, I'll agree.

I think old fnatic would get at least 10 rounds every map. It’s hard to say tho because of the changes to maps and guns. Imagine Olof 2015 with current tech9, yikes
2019-07-22 16:55
I don't think 2015 Fnatic would stand against present day utility usage and aug and krieg

Aug seldom used since nerf, but let’s say 2015 fnatic has time to adjust to utility/current weapons, they would be ez top 3 team
2019-07-22 17:04
No way does any team adapt to a completely new meta that fast. Already in 2015, they had to let go of Pronax to adapt to playstyle of different teams. CS is completely different than what it was in 2015, it is more difficult now.

My theory was that if they did have time to adapt, they would be a top 3 team.
2019-07-22 17:09
Yeah you are right about that. But again, it would be too hard to adapt, Faze was literally a better version of Fnatic, but we saw how hard they found it to adapt to utility usage

Ya. It’s hard for me to call TL one of the best teams ever because the scene isn’t all that competitive rn. Vitality has 3 washed players and bot Alex being carried by zywoo, ENCE doesn’t have the fragging power to compete with a top 5 team, Astralis seem to have lost their confidence, NaVi just made a roster change and have barely played the last few months, faze also having trouble adjusting with neo, and Niko been underperforming. Can’t even talk about fnatic nip mouse NRG or north. Liquid players are in their prime playing in a league of players way past their prime with a few exceptions.
2019-07-22 17:21
Yeah, tbh there are no complete teams to challenge Liquid right now, which may be a reason they look so dominant.

Only Astralis I believe can compete with liquid if they find their confidence
2019-07-22 17:26
I agree. Well, Vitality and G2 have played Liquid close, but I think Liquid is still in their heads. Overall, I think there's 3 or 4 teams that are really close and Liquid just has a mental edge.
2019-07-22 18:38
It really depends on how far you extend teams to be included as "one of the best ever". I think Liquid is somewhere in the top 5, but they could be 5th. Without the benefit of them playing against the best teams of each year I think this can only be a subjective evaluation. If we can assume that the game is on a continual arch of improvement (an easy argument to make), then Liquid pretty much has to counted among the top 5, even if they aren't 1st. To say other wise is to suggest that the completeness of the games in the top teams over last year and this doesn't trump individual performances by teams in the past. And yet, we only have to go back and view past matches to see what plans were executed by teams and how they adjusted to mid-round changes, and how they utilized their nades and such. Go back to 2015 matches and view them to compare. I think it'll be quite clear todays teams are much more complete.
2019-07-22 18:38
When i watch fnc, it's like party, But TL not party , Perfect tactics and performance. FNC was a developer of CS. TL is now King. That's why one of reason AUG

Fanatic 2015 were way better than liquid 2019 Also fnatic were much more fun to watch, I’m not looking for default overused shit that liquid shows every time, when I watch any game, it’s boring! Also stewie talking shit seems to absolutely useless and coming from nowhere, rather fnatic era, when they had beef with nip, that was interesting and much more entertaining!
2019-07-22 16:43
this guy knows his facts, I agree!
2019-07-22 17:05
liquid wont last longer than astralis brcause all 5 players from liquid are at their peak and they rely so much on individual skill unlikely astralis did in 2018
2019-07-22 16:46
I think they will last as long as Astralis, because Astralis was 40% skill 60% tactics. Liquid is 60% skill 40% tactics. Valve will get bored of the same team winning everything and make changes to the game which will affect liquid just like economy and radar changes affected Astralis

"[Liquid] pure individual firepower" "astralis was way more dominant and stronger on individual power" ? What is more than "pure"?
