I do not think Eleague is doing anything in cs at the moment. They did a very small Eleague tournament this year that was a joke. I hope they do though, I really enjoyed Boston. Might be Katowice though.
If not for the fear of murder at night, I would like to see a CS event in Baltimore, there are some really nice venues and the city is pretty nice during the day. It's one of those "it's nice to visit, but i'd never want to live there" kinds of cities.
This doesn't have to be a major, but I really want to see a tier 1 event held in Kansas City. KC is in the middle of the US so you'd get a pretty big crowd. Could be held at the Sprint Center which seats a little under 19k
That wouldn't be bad either, I just know that KC is really good for events like CS. They had a Comic con this year with a small 10k CS Lan and it was pretty smooth. KC also hosts lots of sports events like the College World Series and the Big 12 Basketball Tournament
I've heard the city of Kiev is relatively safe, but getting a visa is going to be a pain. I think it would be more beneficially to do an event in either Moscow, St. Petersburg, or Minsk if an Eastern-European Major woulf ever take place. At least Starladder got to host this major, even if it was held in Berlin.
I'm not really sure about Belarus, but a friend of mine (also an American) went to Ukraine last year to help with some humanitarian work, and it took him months to get a visa. He's been to Russia as well, and he said it was a lot easier to go to.
Oh, that changes pretty much everything then, and isn't really what the forum prompt was referring to. Kiev certainly COULD have a premier tournament, such as a starladder event or maybe PGL if they still exist (not sure, if they don't please let me know). But I think that Russia is a more likely country to host an event, both in terms of population and accessibility.
Most likely i would say it will go to NA. Been several Majors in EU after Berlin, its good to have variety.
I dont rly care what part of NA goes too. Chicago seems pretty good location to me tho, With big arena, and crowd was good.
One major in NA and another in EU every year like the last 3 years would be nice, but NA is basically USA and Canada, while EU have a lot of countries to host the major. Even if you add SA to NA, it would be just USA, Canada, Brazil and Argentina
No need to say sorry! Its ur opinion, i mean yeah spain would be awsome as well! As long as it would be in Iberia i bet that it would be a full arena, people here have a really really big love for the esports, we might not be many but we sure are big and passionate
And? It's been NEVER since the last CIS or Danish major, while USA has already had 3? I don't get your point.
Let's go to a new place with lots of fans that haven't had a major yet, despite their success
Do you understand the size difference between USA and Denmark? A Danish perso can go to an event like the Swedish polish or uk tourny and still be closer than 90% of people in America to the major location
Crowd is very toxic here but thats because astralis is like our national team. 99% cheers for them and we couldnt give a shit about other teams. So if astralis is in the final it will be an amazing atmosphere but if they arent im afraid it would get a bit boring since people dont cheer for any team
Ofc i admit it its no secret. Almost every dane on hltv is a fan of astralis and they are kinda like the national team in football if you know what i mean. If a dane doesnt support astralis they are actually swedes
Somewhat true. Dallas crowd was ok, but silent when liquid was down. Chicago crowd was disgusting. They were chanting "send them back" (like trump tweet). Honestly americans are nice most of the time but chicago was not ok.
Wouldnt it be cool to see if the major winners get to have the next major in their own country / they get to decide? And then if it happens twice in a row (same team not same country) then it would go to 2nd to decide?
Yup, they just want to do their own thing all the time. Even though there are so many good ideas out there. Like making an international-like tournament or circuit. Your idea is good but they just want it to stay the same, even though it is not the same game as 4 years ago.
