I have the money for a new 244 hz monitor, I currently have the BenQ XL2411 which is 144hz. Do I get the BenQ XL2540: amazon.com/BenQ-Response-Equalizer-Adjus.. Or the Asus XG258Q: amazon.com/XG258Q-FreeSync-Esports-Gamin..

dude upgrade from 144Hz to 240 is just waste of money there is almost no diffrence between 144 and 240 I upgraded from 60Hz to 240Hz ( Alienware aw2518hf ) and before I was playing on 144Hz in gaming center and I cannot see diffrence. ;) If you really want to upgrade I would pick up the BenQ XL2540.
2019-07-22 21:12
I have the money, and I just want a second monitor for my stream. Also I'll take any advantage I can get lol

yea man, there is a difference between 60hz to 144hz, but between 144hz and 240hz THERE IS NONE :O WOW. Literally, you contradict your statement lol. There is a difference. Even though it's slight, there is and if you want to pursue a career in esports or anything like that, hell yeah you need that

lol no you don't need 240hz, 144hz is more than enough even for FPL. when you actually "need" 240hz you probably get one for free

2546 has a DyAc mode which makes your game even less blur. It has literally no blur.

500hz good men
2019-07-22 21:48
the only 240hz with lower input lag than the 2540 is the Viewsonic XG2530 , but the BenQ has much better color and white balance for CS , also its only 10ms vs 8ms , honestly i'd say just upgrade , you got into high hz with BenQ just go benQ all the way , coming from a 2411 you will feel like the viewsonic one is too dark probably.
2019-07-22 21:50
ty :)
2019-07-22 21:53
You'd be correct - if you would've said it 2 years ago lmao. And why would you recommend someone to buy an XL2540 when there's an XL2546 with DyAc. There're a lot of models that are faster than XG2530. Plus the new gen of 240hz is being released and I literally don't see a single point of buying the previous gen rn.
2019-07-22 21:57
i'd be extremely skeptical of DyAc , its been so hyped yet i've seen 0 pros using it , i really can't see how an option like that could be implemented without adding gray to gray lag. But if you have the money you cant go wrong with any of them , i guess the XG2560 would be the 2546's direct competitor. 2546 is 13ms tho XG2530 is 8ms and 2560 is the same i think displaylag.com/display-database/
2019-07-22 22:12
Get the latest gen of 240HZ monitors. The 0.3-0.5ms ones. There're more to come as well. tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/acer_nitro_xf25.. The fastest monitor that's been reviewed by tft central.

2019-07-22 22:14
I don't think it's really a waste, I'm still heavily invested into the game and want a 2nd monitor (I'll use my old one as the 2nd obviously)

Hello, my friend. Cannot say much about Asus, but I have BenQ XL2540 for quite a while now, almost a year, therefore I can shortly describe what I like and what I do not like about it. It works well, the build is insanely robust and from the first touch you can feel high quality. The stand is also good, but not something spectacular, so do not feel bad if you want to use a mount instead. Controls are good, but at the same time so diverse that the first time it is a bit overwhelming - so please, spend some time watching some Youtube videos about setup, it will be worth it, cause of the disadvantages of this monitor are colours - they are shit by default, BUT look reasonably good if you set them up. Also, this screen has a "remote", a little control panel, and you can set it up too, e.g. you can have different modes (I have regular, bright (for CSGO) and dim (when eyes are tired or if I am reading some boring shit, like documents). Plus, you can switch modes with one click, e.g. I click ones - use PS4, click again - use PC. Quite handy, when waiting for friends to come online or if you need to check CSGO match results while playing PS4 etc. Overall, I'd give it a solid 8/10. I really like it and despite some minor issues with colours and effort to make them look good, this is the best screen I have used. Frequency is nuts (you can feel the difference, but obviously it's nothing in comparison to switching from 60hz to 144hz), build is good, the little control remote I never cared about is now my oxygen and I cannot imagine life without it, just overall - solid. What could make it 10? I don't know... thinner rims, perfect colours, 8k, free pass to Brazzers etc., but for me 10 is perfection, so 8/10 is a really good score for me. Hope it helps. Have a good day, my fellow American, and may your eyes enjoy whatever screen you pick.

240hz marketing 60 HZ to 144HZ = real difference 144 to 240 = no big diff Wait 300HZ MONITOR for buy new
2019-07-22 22:33
I think it will make a difference, I'm getting over 300 fps. If I was getting 144 fps I wouldn't matter, but a higher refresh rate will at least make it feel a bit more clean
2019-07-23 18:34
If you had a 60hz monitor, I would have you yes why not, to take the 240hz but since you already have a 144hz, I think it's a useless upgrade, it's money thrown down, it's my opinion. From 60 to 144, it's vital. From 144 to 240, it's really not a big difference, it's more about comfort than anything else, people who have a 240hz, especially pro's, say it on their own that the difference is not big, it's not worth it. What I mean is that you're going to use money to change screens but you'll see almost no difference.
2019-07-23 19:55
I wouldn't be changing screens, would just use it as my main monitor and the one I have now has 2nd monitor for twitch chat
2019-07-23 20:08
Oh I see, but your current screen is a TN I guess and the 240hz will be too, isn't that a problem for multimedia? That is to say, at the level of Youtube, movies, series, etc., since the colors are disgusting with the TN.
2019-07-23 20:12
Idk I guess, I just want to be able to interact with my chat while I stream
