Couldn't help but feel extremely sad for the guy but at the same time I had to laugh with him. Some of the stuff hes gone through is absolutely ridiculous.
First he makes literally ZERO money from being the undisputed #1 team throughout the entire 2013. The management fucks him over completely and can't even pay him the prize money they owe him. Then they wanted to fuck him and the other players over some more with ridiculous contracts going into 2014.
Mid 2014 they wanted to replace him and management only needed 1 bad result. They win the Cologne major and plans to recruit Maikelele are put on hold.
Last game he plays for NiP is vs Titan with KQLY cheating his ass off destroying NiP 16-2.
You have to understand this is basically a player who gave his all for the team but just played in the wrong era really. Cheats were fullblown, no anticheat detection apart from VAC on ANY LAN whatsoever.
No one ever checked player devices. AWP was ridiculous, CZ was ridiculous, TEC9 was ridiculous.
They got paid 1000 EURO / month base salary in their NEW contact throughout 2014. Unbelievable!
Sweden was and still is more expensive than slovakia or czechia, you have to have this in mind. He even said that he had like 3k dollars on his bank account at the end of 2013 which was money he would spend in 2 months
You're not getting anywhere on 1000 EURO/month in Sweden let me tell you that! His rent alone was 8K EURO/month. And yeah I forgot to mention, the 1K EURO/month was pre-taxes. So literally couldn't even afford his rent at the end of the day
If you ask Fifflaren himself then I'm sure he would say that his experiences with NiP was the last straw that made him retire alltogether after he was dropped from the team. He was just fed up with all that shit
Yeah I would think all the hate got to him, but when you listen to him he wanted to leave already back in 2013. He knew he was gonna be replaced throughout pretty much 2014 and the org scammed him twice.
Well he was like 27 years of age back then. Maybe tops he'd have like 2-3 years in the pro scene. He got offered another job as analyst and his friends were in NiP. There weren't any good upcoming swedish teams around back then that were even close to getting to the big tournaments so understandably he would leave when he was essentially offered more money as analyst. Literally only fnatic and NiP even had salaries back then (among swedish teams). Maybe the old SK lineup with Delpan got paid but honestly I doubt it.
The funny thing is they made 2K EURO/month in 2012->2013. They essentially lowered their salary.
And NiP was supposed to lead by example and build up CS:GO esports from the scratch. That means you should pay your players more than other orgs pay their players
