Weak bait. 0/8 Furia > MIBR > INTZ I like Kng, but his team doesn't have the right leadership and so much potential is wasted because of that. Their style is more like the brazilian scene back in 1.6, no strats but strong clutch players.
2019-07-30 16:20
Yo what are the most popular Brazilian players and how popular are they in the SA csgo scene?

Everyone from MIBR and Immortals is pretty well known among people who are into e-sports, but they're not like super famous people outside that kind of public.
2019-07-30 16:31
So no one except fallen maybe that sticks out. Are there any upcoming players you think might get popular? (asking for sticker investing :D)

If you're thinking about investing you probably should buy a bunch of Furia and MIBR stickers at the end of the major (when Valve sells them pretty cheap) and then wait a few months to sell it, i don't see holding up to stickers as being profitable in the short-term. Only now stickers from MLG Columbus stickers are starting to get some value, 3 years later. Another thing to beware is how many days Valve will let the sticker/sticker capsules sales going, since last major it was for almost a week and now it is worth jack shit.
2019-07-30 18:05
MIBR stickers are not really profitable, Furia stickers is a team sticker were I keep my eye on for sure. & I agree about the capsules.

He was hot shit like a year ago, then he got involved in some drama with Gaulês (brazilian streamer) and, apparently, someone found old accounts he used to play with when he was like 12 yo. He was vac-banned on those accounts, so Valve prohibited him from playing Valve-sponsored tournaments (aka majors).
2019-07-31 17:51
wtf, that's just wrong. and sad from valve. s1mple cheated as well and you hear nobody from valve about that.... valve so inconsistent....

Agree, they should have had a 2 year ban or so. for sure that they could play by now again.
2019-08-02 18:25
i would say fallen because he sells a lot of shit(mice, keyboard, etc) also hes linked to the bigger SA CSGO plataform, he has a huge personal brand
2019-07-30 16:28
do you have a thought about any upcoming players that might get popular from maybe INTZ or Furia?
2019-07-30 16:36
people like furia players (especially kscerato, vini and art) from intz people like kngv, but i dont know if they will ever get to the level of fallen in terms of personal branding. also fnx is still pretty popular even tho hes retired.

They will not be allowed to enter germany. I called Merkel and talked to her about Fallen's ties to the brazilian drug lord "bolsonaro" and i also told her that KNG tried to kill an american citizen. They will be jailed as soon as they land in Berlin.
2019-07-30 16:21
wrong merkel said that since they are such a threat they will be given german citizenship and government jobs when they retire.
2019-07-30 16:31
You might take some more german classes because thats not what she said at all. #6 is correct. Dont come to germany.

What excuse and excuse for what? I just stated the fact that it's impressive that a small country as Denmark with little as 5 mill. people has two teams in the major compared to Brazil with 210 million people "only" have 3 teams. Usually a smaller population means less chances of finding great talent. Which is why you see more pro athletes from China, Japan, USA and Russia and Brazil. (India could have a huge impact on let's say the olympics, but they're aren't posting that much money into pro athletism. Denmark aren't really spending that much of their yearly BNP on athletes and sports, only when people are VERY talented in generally in a major sport they get funds. Other than that, it's more or less volunteers that do the general work from youth to talent.
2019-07-31 20:54
every country who realizes cultural disposition on playing a game and than invest on training and knowledge can get good on a game. and brazil have 210 mil ppl but like 80% of the population here cant afford playing cs go all the time, most of us even cant afford to buy a pc that actually plays the game...

but 20% is 40 mil so its like 8 times bigger than Denmark still :/
2019-08-01 10:14
yea bro 40 mil spread on a big territory with various types of culture. most of the kids who wanna turn pro have, i dont know, to go to São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, where there is good sponsorship and the real good players. is not easy for a guy on Maranhão, a north state, go to São Paulo make a living there, not easy at all. and i may be actually wrong about the number, the real percentage must be lower
2019-08-01 21:41
In Denmark more or less eveything happens in Copenhagen, although we do have schools that have startes eSports programs. But mostbof these schools are sort of private schools which you have to pay a lot of money to attend and still many parents doesn't accept eSports as a future investment.

The population doesnt matter. What matters is the amount of players in that country who plays CSGO and how many players the scene have. Denmark have a lot of players and can play against all of EU, while Brazil have only a little amount of players and only themselves to play against.

liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Majors Since ELEAGE Boston Major the previously called Offline Qualifier became a part of the official major as the new Challanger stage. Since then (4 majors) have had three stages! Just because you live in the past doesn't make it true. It used to be a qualifier but for 16 months it's been officially a part of the major

What would make you think that?
2019-08-01 10:39
cuz valve keep making cs easier and easier to try make the game popular, but that made the game always unique was the difficulty, I remember when keyd stars got stickers back in the day, and shit like that, having stickers was a huge deal, now yel have a sticker OMEGALUL

You mean the way of accessing the major are easier right? Because I don't think the games difficulty has changed at all Yeah I don't really give a fuck about stickers since they have 0 impact on the game. All in all they just allow the players and org to get extra money directly from fans and that's fine by me
2019-08-01 12:56
no, its basicly the same, but they just "count" the early phase as a major already, before the major was the major, the actual major, the last part you know? (sorry dont know how to explain 100% in english, br london) so thats why having a sticker was a real deal, you coudnt have stickers being a bad team, you had to earn it, but the system as a whole still basicly the same

Yeah I agree sticker are less prestigious, but this also reflect the improvement of the scene and the fact that it's more competitive now. On top of that it allows for more player to see the game as a viable carrer choice which is a good thing imo. In the end us fans don't lose much while player get money and recognition, the balance is still hugely positive!
2019-08-01 15:53
I disagree, but I can see your point, majors are less special year by year with stuff like that, we already have many huge tournments, majors should be something else, specially being only 2 per year! its like a football world cup

I agree major are getting flooded amongst the other events, but it's hard to stand out as THE event of the year when you already have so many where all the top teams are present. Apart from stickers there's nothing special about them and sinc I don't give a shit about stickers, well...
2019-08-01 16:33
It's not a world record tho, many countries have done that
2019-08-01 16:32
If the qualifier was part of the major back in the days we would've had 3 teams attending every major. Hell, even back in 2017 with NiP, fnatic and Godsent (JW, Flusha etc) we could've had 3 teams probably making the playoffs if NiP had an easier qualifier back then like today
2019-08-01 16:36
Well there were 4 teams from the US in MLG Columbus 2016 so not even a record.
