Buy japanese car my friend, best engines
Buy an electrical Scooter. Be a voiboi
About to buy a new car * would love it to be automatic as its way more chill to drive
Basically Volkswagen with better looking exterior
mercedes and bmw are shit aswell, so you better buy volvo or toyota
whoever is saying audi engines are shit doesn't know anything about engines.
Combustion engine in 2019
All Cars = useless and shit
You have 20K and you're going to buy an Audi S5 tell me from what year is it? You should also think about how to much it's going to cost if it needs repairs and of course how much fuel it uses.
What type of car ? A crossover, sedan, SUV or hatchback ?
I had a 04 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro 5spd. Was hella nice driving in snow but they are expensive to maintain. 112k miles gota change water pump and timing belt. Had a flange go bad. 160$ for plastic piece wipers 112$ for a OEM pair.
Pros are tone of extras for them performance and style wise. I had 19inch rims full exhaust system K&N filter smoked taillights HID light kit. I would imagine maintaining everything would be cheaper in Europe being it’s a import here tho.
German cars are expensive to repair from what I've heard. Just get a Volvo. It's not unusual for V70's to get to 500kkm without any bigger issues.
well the important thing about audi is as long as you find out the problems early and do the maintenance before shit happens, it will never fail you. but that does require you to have a bit of understanding about cars or do regular check ups (by regular i mean ever 4-6 weeks.
if i had budget 20k for a car i would definetly go for a6 avant 3.0tdi , must be a great car, or E-class if you can afford maintenance
low budget - japanese
middle or high - audi
I like Audi A6 Avant
Get an Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV. It's super fun to drive and solid modding possibilities. After I got mine stage 2, it's way more fun than the E63S AMG. Unfortunately, I don't get to drive it much because it's not suited for being a family car so much now and that's why I got the E63S but whenever I'm out on my own or with mates, I much prefer that.
Older than 2010-2012 have a lot of problems. Their new models are ok and I prefer their interior. Every german car is expensive to fix because they are a lot more complicated than others, keep that in mind.
Audi not shit, cause Astralis bestest
Tesla is the best car ever made
I've got VW Tiguan, it's perfect for vacations with friends
I just got an RS5 and it’s fire, Audi makes good cars, I think you have nothing to worry about
it`s not about the manufacturer, in terms of production quality.
all engines with high hp on low ccm3 break faster than low hp on high ccm3.
a 7.0 ltr v8 engine with 200 hp will run forever, like muricans build in their big cars.
the 2.5 ltr 5 (3) cylinder engines with 200++ hp are done after 250.000km, no matter which manufacturer.
that doesnt mean that these engines are shit, it`s a decision. who drives his car 250.000km. and in ger, small ltr engines are cheaper in taxes.
+ the most cars are bought by companies and car renters. they change their fleets every 4 5 years, there are basically no requests for engines you can drive 40 years!
If the Audi you linked has a S-tronic transmission, I would stay away from it in terms of reliability.
Maybe not shit but looks budget to Mercedes and BMW
buy older cars from 96-02, they are cheap to repair and they can easily maintain 300k km
I'd pick Audi for the looks.
Very elegant cars.
But if I had the monies, I'd go for a japanese car because they're beautiful and nice to drive
nah men everyone hates everything and trash talks it but audi isnt trash
I would get a facelifted one (2011-). There are always some rotten apples among mass produced items, but I wouldn't call Audi unreliable. Look for type faults and decide based on that. Compared to the one you linked, I know people with double or close to triple the amount of kilometers on their Audis and they haven't run into any big issues as far as I'm aware.
pff audi engine fail ?? lol who told you that ? there was a bad engine 2.5 and 2.7 tdi and that is they dont make them saying audi engines are bad its like saygin 80 % of the cars are whit bad engines since the vag owns most of the brands even buggati lamborgini bentley they are the biggest company on the car industries WW group ore like i said vag had a toledo octavia a8 3.0 now whit a6 3.0 never had a problem ever whit engine same parts for every one of them only thing i do is change of oil filters and tires seat has like 400000km now octavia has 100000 a8 300000 a6 200000 and all steel runing good and on the family
I have owned at least one Audi at a time my whole life, most of them have survived for a good 20 years. Solid cars with lots of power, not to mention they are extremely beautiful.
Why would you waste 20k on a car? Roflmao
dont listen to anyone when it comes about cars, everyone is just trashtalking and at the end they will offer u prius for 20k
just go and buy it if u like it bcuz every car has some problems especially new ones, just check in some good car service before buying and enjoy after
btw i preffer a7 over a5
buuumweeee (bmw) man, dont care what other ppl say, bmw is best :x
Take care of his maintence and you will be fine
i've heard that toyota has the most reliable engines, other than that idk
i'd say buy a volvo, as you said there are many of them on the roads (in findland), therefore tey're easy and cheap to get parts for. and if you look around, you'll properly find a cheap one with low km on the clock
audis are nice to drive, some of them look nice and they have 4wd, that's about it
just buy a newer volvo or a toyota
Audi is super expensive when it comes to maintenance, beside that they're great cars. I agree with some users suggesting you to go with a japanese car. Toyotas are super durable and I know multiple drivers taking them near the 400.000km mark at our climate while not eating your budget when it comes to garage costs.
paki car over here, no longer luxury as everyone and their nan has one
yeah if u wanna drive around in a car that 50% of the pop is driving right now (like at the top with frickin volvo v90 or w/e the shit nr is) go ahead! :)
With 20k can you buy one that?
Here in Brazil with 20k you can buy a old car like 2008 or 2009 model. kkk
Buy a Audi and enjoy.
tbfh japanese cars are the most reliable
Old engines are better than news, afaik tsi and tfsi are all shit, dunno about diesel
90% of the people on here still get dropped off at school by their mums.
Audi engines are good engines. Say what you want about the Germans but they know how to make good engines anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about.
Look after your engines and they will outlast the life of the rest of the car.
Most people who complain about engines just don't maintain them. Like anything they need to be looked after or they won't last. German engines usually cost more to maintain but unfortunately quality has a price
my cousin has an a4 and a5 (2015 I think) and the a5 is very fucking nice
My family owns a mechanic business and the majority of the cars we get are Audi's and Volkswagens. Most of the time when I'm fixing them, it's mainly the valvebody/mechatronic (the computer of the car) or the gearbox. A lot of the time the repairs can cost up to 1-5k depending on the year model of the car. I recondition about 2-5 valvebodies a day, depending on how busy we are.
Wtf are you talking about? Audis are German engineered. It's the best you can get... Srsly... The stupidity of some people. It's like saying Swiss watches would tend to skip Seconds.
German engineering is internationally known to be the absolute best.
Buy w or s212 mercedes e350 estate aka farkku avantegard or bluetch. They are pretty "cheap" in sweden. 2011-2014 model, 150 000 km driven are 15k - 20k €.
Belebier me, buy eemeli mersu and drive liek a boss 😎😎
skoda has the best price/quality ratio and it uses volkswagen technology but skoda's have shit reputation so I'd recommend to buy either a german car or maybe volvo
buy Volvo, Toyota or Mazda (maybe Honda)
im happy with mine, a very fun car
i have an Audi. No engine problems. Its german premium class car, luxury, good compliments.
Ive heard from people fanboying other brands that Audi is shit ofc, cus they cant afford it or havent tried one.
or merc, or bmw. If you can afford one that isnt broken.
If you want quality... reliability... and peace of mind... buy a Toyota or Lexus. :-) Mazda and Honda are solid choices too. If you want an euro car, get a Volvo or Mercedes. Anything from VAG (VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat, etc) or BMW, is just asking for trouble. Some *ignorant* people still think they got the same build quality like in the 80s and 90s, but it can't be any further from reality. Speaking from experience with multiple friends/relatives. You've been warned.
I am quite the expert in cars so I suggest one with four wheels preferably
Mercedes CL63 AMG is your car mens)))
'been looking at some a5s'
I guess looking at ass won't help you with finding better car.
Buy Toyota. You will not regret it.
No Audi is not shit but BMW is better!
Audi and VW's tsi engines are shit. Nowadays everybody makes good 2L engines with turbo no matter diesel of petrol. So if you are going for a petrol engine and audi, make sure it's not the tsi which was popular around 4-6 years ago
Audi is just a VW with an audi logo on it and +10K price tag
I mean why would you care what others say? Go for what works and looks good in your opinion
Got Audi A7 myself, automatic, bought it with 240000km of distance done and it is super good still
Buy it and sell it if it doesn't fit your needs.
Go for a vw, shares the same platforms, transmissions and some of the engines with Audi as it all part of the VAG, vw is a better option if u have a very limited budget.
Whole VAG group its a massive letdown. As #233 said, Audi is just a VW with different logo. Used to be massive Audi fan but I opened my eyes
I'm not gonna repeat what people have said here, but one thing that also can ruin your experience is the electronic parking brake
Because you live in Finland (I assume you are not fake flagging :d) the winters can get quite cold and therefore the electronic parking brake may not come off when you are trying to go for a drive
If you park it in the garage then it should be ok
it will be in the maintenance shop more than actually driving it. Audi motors are notorious for having oil consumption problems. And that's coming from someone that has owned an N54.
I’m driving Audi since 4 years. Started with an a4 1.8 tfsi, then I switched to an s3 3 years ago, and now I’m with an s4 b9, fully kitted. None of them disappointed me, just that they’re expensive af in service. Especially when going with the s/rs ones.
Probably will stick with Audi
audis are very reliable normally my dad drove an a4 for 23 years
nothing more expensive than a cheap audi/bmw/benz
2.0 tdi 6 2006 300km ez also automatic
buy a mirai man wtf full hydrogen car
Don't buy a car men buy 1000cc supersport motorcycle instead like me and you can pick up grils and be a cool mens at every stoplight redlining motor at 12K rpm )))))
Toyota, Honda or Lexus, you have been warned.
Audi's are nice. They got potrait and framed as "bad" cars but what german cars are bad... It's all about the design, been using Audi in the states for 5 years, Q5 80k KM, doesn't have a bit of problem, but yeah you have to take care of it pretty well. But they got warranty until 100k KM, so pretty much all the oil and ish you have to take care are pretty much there. But you have to have Audi showroom near your place or work so your car is well taken care off. Since you're going back and forth 80km each day, its pretty far.
get an e class from 2014 +/-
Or you can get an old german performance car amg/m/s mby rs
audi's are great. a used rs5 sportback 2019 is around 90.000-120.000 EUR in germany.
your wanted car is a diesel engine and has 145.000 km on the clock. its not bad but it can still make problems for you in the future.
lol. it all depends on model
can't just say engines are shit in total
You should definitely take a look on Lexus like GS or RX
I had a audi a6 3.0 tdi 2016. 3.0 tdi from 2015-2017 i think, got some engine problems. So dont tune it and lose warranty lel, if u do it might get REALLY expensive.
After my engine started to sound weird i sold it and bought a bmw 435i coupe
Toyota/Lexus>Honda/Acura>Any overpriced Eurocrap shitbox
Get a Volvo S60. Second gen ofc. You can probably find one with less than 10kkm for under 10k€, and they all have decently powerful engines
Ive been driving van's all my life for work. I'll probably get a budget 2010-12 manual Evo X when I do get a car. Ive always wanted a GTR R34 since they came out but dont think i'll ever buy one, the X is more practical for a nice weekend car.
If you have 20k you could get a volvo
