C9 prediction
 |
United States Hubterbean
I predict c9 will be a consistent top 5 team by the end of next year. My reasoning behind this is daps is very good at getting teams to the top 5 and there skill ceiling is massive. Tenz is an up and coming star in the scene wouldn’t surprise me if at the end of next year he cracks the top 20 Koosta is getting a lot of shit because he was put in a shit role in liquid (his only other high tier 1 team) he isn’t your best player but he is solid and can be above average Mixwell is insane and people forgot how good he was on optic back in 2016 and has a lot to prove right now and I believe he will do so Automatic is a top 20 player and is one of the best players in na and I believe he will be the reason tenz becomes a top 20 player because he and daps combined unlock his potential Daps is the 2nd best igl in na and I believe nrg are going to regret kicking him in about 6 months he was so valuable to that team and they didn’t appreciate how he built that team to do good In conclusion c9 top 5 team by end of 2020

top 5 might be stretching it, easily top 10, possibly top 8 maybe, we'll see

I think it’s only a matter of time they pass them because nrg has stagnated over the last couple months

Mouse is gonna be a top 5 team sooner rather than later. Navi I’m less certain if they come to there senses kick flamie and Zeus add sdy Qikert/ jame and boombl4 is a good igl then yes they will be top 3 but a lot of stuff has to happen idk it will
2019-08-14 03:02
Maybe a consistent top 10 team

that’s true but from what I saw at blast them beating faze tying MIBr and nrg at there first event they have a good chance to do it.
2019-08-14 02:45
They even put up an amazing performance against Liquid, like they literally destroyed them on one of their (C9's) T sides. A week old team vs the number 1, the potential for this team is huge

That’s what I’m saying no one is talking about how impressive it was
2019-08-14 12:36
Yeah, if c9 had a better CT side they actually could've beaten liquid on that map, but it's just that they need more time to sort that out.

Imo No I dont think they will get far with that rooster Their top will be 10. I think its all about autimatic...you feel he lost the motivation to this game... the shit 1.5 year was badly effective on him Also koosta proved nothing yet. Mixwell also Tenz is the only 1 cus he is great talent

I get what your saying but young electrifying talent bring life back into a team. A few examples (even if a little extreme) When cerq first joined nrg they would be no where near where they are without him Serge to ENCE they can’t win without serge Coldzera to luminosity All these young players bring fire to a team and motivate everyone to be better I think tenz is the X factor that could bring all these guys to another level

Also i dont see daps that good even with NRG Yeah they were winning against avarage teams But when it comes to Liquid Navi or Astralis or even Faze on their form.. its really hard for them

But I can’t blame daps one hundred percent for nrgs struggles. In big events cerq disappears and Ethan does sometimes too. Tarik isn’t that good right now and breeze can’t carry that hard. And I believe nrg are about to fall apart because of the decision to kick daps i think it was premature and unnecessary
2019-08-14 02:58
What makes you think auti is demotivated? Koosta did well at blast Mixwell is a god awper And tenz is insane

Auti seemed like he got bored after the boring year for him. I dont think koosta did well Mixwell is avarage Awper Tenz is very good but not insane(yet) But this team will hit top10 ranking
2019-08-15 06:02
But what makes you think auti is bored? He's just gone from AWPing to rifling again so he might seem a bit rusty. I think a completely new team like this will motivate him again. He seemed happy with everything from the video C9 put out on YouTube. Koosta was pretty decent. Middle of the scoreboard mostly, at the bottom once or twice and also top fragged vs NRG. It's not amazing, but it's decent. Mixwell is not average lmao, just because he's been kind of wasting time in the Spanish scene doesn't make him any less good, and you hear most casters say it too - he's great. And TenZ is insane.

koosta was in ghost... i dont think they'll be top 5, but def top 8. mixwell has fallen off a lot from his days in 2016. i wouldnt be surprised if he got replaced sometime in 2020. the only reason they might regret kicking daps is because cerq functions really well with a structure that daps would provide. nrg is going to make roster changes that will fix any issues regarding the igl change (so most likely -cerq, maybe even -tarik?) hopefully auti will come back, the only c9 rosters were really bad and must have been demotivating for him.

I think nrg is kind of fucked and have reached there peak. I am not the biggest fan of Stanislaw as an igl and i don’t think he has what it takes to make them a better team

its all about manipulation of the right pieces. daps worked great with players like cerq and fugly. stan's igling style is loose. stronger, more independent players that like to/can make plays will work well under stan. (brehze, tarik, thorin even mentioned niko). cerq fell off when daps left and that was kind of it.

Now the question is can nrg be as good with cerq being silent and Tarik and breeze trying to carry I think breeze is very good I don’t think Tarik is that good

i heavily doubt that nrg can continue as top5 with cerq. youre right about tarik not being that good, stan is doing better than him as of last month lmao. ethan also started doing worse when tarik joined. in my opinion, nrg should do something like this: brehze ethan stanislaw wardell jks

The only problem is I don’t think that they would flip Tarik after kicking daps because that’s conformation that that was the wrong choice ( which it was imo)

We will see I don’t think daps was the issue at all if nrg starts doing better then maybe but nothing I have seen shows me they can make the playoffs at the major

they probably wont, but nrg still need time to adjust with stan. im not sure this version of their roster is good but if they replace cerq at the very minimum they should be fine. they removed daps because 1. he was a weak fragger and 2. he was getting frustrated at their lack of progress and was just playing worse in general.

But cerq was one of the main reason they were so good last year and he has been really bad since then. Yes he has his issues with big stages but he still has an insane skill peak and I don’t think they will ever be able to replace what he brought to the team.

its not 'big stage issues', he fell off because hes more accustomed to daps' play style as opposed to stans

I hope so. But i dont think it will happen. Top 10 is great for them, but imo they will end up at top 15 in the end of this year. But if somehow they can replace koosta with brehze i can see them at top 8. Xd

While i do think that this squad will be significantly better than the previous lineup, and do respect daps for his igl influence, I find that players like him and Neo can only have so much to give before they become a burden. I have always believed Autimatic to be a very strong player, and the team itself has lots of potential, but I don’t see them eclipsing the likes of NRG.

i Think they will be better than NRG but since a lot of teams are getting their shit together and most of them have more potential and firepower , i believe they will be a good top 10 team
