I never lifted weights and such before because I'm a soyboy, but since I have a date I would like to consider trying. How do you best get started with it?

I recommend you to talk to a nutritionist and a personal trainer, they will indicate exactly what you should do according to your will. Or do as I do that I've only learned to feed well, but I've hired the personal trainer from the academy where I practice activity.

depends on your motivation. just try a day pass for 3-4 times and then you can make a decision
2019-08-14 17:46
membership if ur thinking long term aka only term
2019-08-14 17:46
bruh, membership. First few times won't blow your mind or probably make you think "YES YES THIS IS WHAT IN WANT TO DO FOR FOR SEVERAL HOURS PER WEEK" but if you have a membership you might go "well I fucking paid for it so..."

No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

You just have to lift everything around you until you collapse, start with a pillow for example, if you can handle that you add another one and another one and later maybe a book if you don'thave any pillows left etc.

Go to the gym, workout chest, back, triceps, biceps, shoulders, maybe core, quads, hamstrings, maybe calves. (Google exercises for these muscles) Go to gym again once you are not at all sore and do the same thing. Eventually you will build up to a full body workout 3x per week
2019-08-14 17:45
Ah, I'll try that. Do you use protein supplements too or just exercise?

I don't use supplements, I get most of my protein/nutrients from beans/rice/eggs/oats since they are very cheap. If you want to use supplements, they will help you get a little more protein, but imo if you eat enough real food, you will be fine.
2019-08-14 17:52
Oh ok, that makes sense.
2019-08-14 17:57
After my first workout (that wasnt even hard, more like trying stuff out) my muscles were ridicilously painful for a few days. Not the next day, but the days after. After that I dont really get any DOMS at all. So I started working out 3 times per week full body workouts with no problem.
2019-08-14 18:02
go and buy the book "starting strength" and you'll learn the most of what is needed
2019-08-14 17:46
that is the one!

if you're willing to start going to gym, there should be some trainers there who will tell you what to do, but basically what you do in the beginning is full body workout when it comes to eating though, you should eat a bit more than you eat right now and be sure you eat enough protein, with your weight it should be like 100-120g protein a day
2019-08-14 17:56
Will do, is there any full body workouts you recommend?

Make sure you go to the gym at least once a week. If you skip one whole week, it's only a matter of time before you skip two weeks and then three weeks and before you know it, you have stopped going to the gym completely. Making going to the gym a part of your life/routine/every day is essential for building a better/healthier body. Also understand that going to the gym is something you should be doing for the rest of your life, not just for summer or something like that.
2019-08-14 17:46
ye, I'm trying to learn now and start a routine mainly so I don't become fat when I'm older lol
2019-08-14 17:49
You aren't going to make any substantial gains going to the gym once a week.
2019-08-14 17:56
Better than skipping a whole week xD

everyday? BRUH I'M GOING 3 TIMES PER DAY AND WORK AS A DJ AT THE NIGHT
2019-08-14 20:48
but since I have a date I would like to consider trying. How do you best get started with it? If you want to start working out in the gym, you need discipline, you need to stop eating random shitty food, you need to enjoy your progress, you need to work harder and harder, you need to workout when you dont want too, you need to understand that changes are something that doesnt come in a week, in a month, or even in a year if you are looking for a big change. And if you are doing this just for a girl, please wake up, you will go nowhere.
2019-08-14 17:56
I'm doing it for the future so I don't become fat and unhealthy, the date was just the catalyst for getting this started
2019-08-14 17:59

Everything these fitness coaches say is bullshit, instead of using moderate heavy weights, and clean reps you should use as much weight as possible and do the exercise wrong.

2019-08-14 20:06
Tru tru he can use synthol for the date ez fast big biceps
2019-08-14 20:07
Go slowly mens dont Rush things or u Will get injures and quit rly fast.start with small weight (be confident while lifting them and Focus on proper form not lifting more) Start with FBW training 3times a week learn proper technique
2019-08-14 20:03
Best way to get started is doing full body workouts. Focus on compound lifts that use several muscles in one movement so you can increase general strength all at once. For example: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps -> Barbell/Dumbell bench press Quads, Hamstrings, Ass -> Squat, lunge Lats, Traps, Auxiliary back muscles, Biceps -> Pullups/Pulldowns, Rows Do this for about a month and then transition into a 3 day split where you focus on Chest, Back, and Legs. You wont regret it, good luck on your date mens)) Other best piece of advice I can give you is to make a plan before you start cause otherwise you just lose motivation fast and leave after 2 weeks ok bye mens
2019-08-14 20:13
you can go BIG or you can get RIpped. diffrent method of training. my advice for you is, eat clean, dont skip training and go for more wheight for exercice when you feel good with it so you wont hurt yourself or doing big weight exercices and not hitting the muscle properly. im in gym for a little long and not that big as some people in less time, i am not that focused as them but still going with good wheights already, enough for me (more 6kg mass). have fun its really good doing gym and watching some fit grills is nice too :D
2019-08-14 20:41
more strenght > bigger muscles
2019-08-14 20:45
calisthenics gang come here
2019-08-14 20:44
2019-08-14 20:45
Choose what you want to do, get strong or get big In the process of getting strong you will also get bigger and vice versa but you can be big without being super strong ( Arnold ) and you can also be very strong without being big. I'd recommend just getting stronger Do: Bench press Squat Deadlift Barbell row Start out light to perfect your form and once you get it do sets with low rep amounts ( 5x5 or 8x3 or even 6x4 )
