I don't know if this is bait or if you're smart enough to understand but I'll try...
Nowadays everything wants your attention at all times. Therefore, that's how we do it now. Manage many answers to texts, to email, to hltv etc...
However, because everything has to happen really fast, there is no real time for reflection anymore. We don't think long about a reply and hence it is bound to be shallow.
When I was a kid I had sometimes 3hours conversations on the phone with a friend. I don't even know what we talked about now because it felt so normal back then.
Norwadays I see it on myself, I never have a phone conversation lasting longer than 15mins or so. Conversations, IRL and of course in the for of texts etc... have become really shallow. Of course it really depends on the people too, their education, social background etc. Deep and original and interesting conversations are still possible! But have become rare. Facebook and the like have made it so easy to send messages, but as a result everything we express (think?) has become much more shallow sadly. I really miss the times when people wrote letters, because it forces you to take the time to think about the other person, not just about your immediate interest with them.
And why in a day and age where everything has to happen FAST should we ever try to understand someone else deeply or try to resolve conflicts if you can just replace them easily (gf for example)? A lot of people act like that sadly
