Zowie vs Logitech
Quake |
Ukraine ReanuKeeves
ZOWIE ZA11 or Logitech G603 Lightspeed Any experience with them as for reliability and durability? Can't freaking decide, love the shape and lightness of Zowie but a removable battery and wireless G603 is just as sweet.
2019-08-19 19:47
i've heard a lot bad things about logitech wheels recently
2019-08-19 19:51
Is it recent? I saw a lot of complaints in reviews about it too but thought it might be just the first batch before they had fixed it.
2019-08-19 19:54
0 problems with g pro wireless bought some months ago
2019-08-19 22:08
The most common complaint is mouse1 double clicking. Personally, my middle click randomly doubles up. It's not really an issue since i only use it to open a new tab.

The mouse1 double click is definitely an issue with the G703. Not really a big issue for me personally, but it happens every now and again.
2019-08-20 00:43
Double mouse1 click would be an enormous problem for me lol, wtf that's like a basic priority. Unacceptable for such price.

It happens quite rarely for me, sure it can be annoying if you're playing CS and going for a one tap and shoot two bullets instead, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. In everyday use like browsing the web it's almost unnoticable if it happens. There desperately needs to be some competition for good wireless gaming mouse suitable for esports. Logitech is so far ahead at the moment that people will settle for double click issues simply because there is no alternative.
2019-08-22 00:28
Not as much as an issue for gaming or browsing as for working with 3D/2D apps and big amounts of files, happened to me with my old mouse wanted to smash into the wall few times. Totally agree competition appears to be 10 years behind, hence the quality issues and inflated prices of Logitech I guess. Went for model O instead, will see.

I can see how that would be frustrating. I don't think I'd be able to go back to wired after being on wireless for almost a year now. Feels very restrictive. Might be easier to adjust to super light weight mice, like finalmouse and the model O, as you mentioned.
2019-08-23 16:57
Yeah at least they have this special cord which is very light. But apparently they have the same base as g403 so there's possibility to make wireless mod of it which would be fun.

I had to return my G603 a couple months ago because of the wheel. Would randomly scroll up a little bit when i was scrolling down.

2019-08-19 19:57

2019-08-19 19:58
Well since you say you have big hands I think zowie fk1+ (since its big mouse) could fit you perhaps? I don't really see many people recommending za models, and I really don't know why. I recommend you check Rocket Jump Ninja on youtube, and his site. (rocketjumpninja.com)

Good for you. I don't like the rubbery pattern on the side, always ends up with gunk and shit, annoying to clean.
2019-08-19 20:06
Logitech sucks.
2019-08-19 20:06
g403 > g603 coating of g603 feels really bad, i had both and rubber on g403 is just deal breaker if we compare these two also zowie is kinda outdated, their shape is amazing but thats the only thing we can highlight dont forget that sensors buttons etc dont really matter these days, shape is just all you need to look for, if ZA11 is perfect for your hand then you should definetly go for it
2019-08-19 20:08
Is it that coating that bad? On the other hand rubbery coating as on 403 usually gets covered in fingerprints and brushes off with time. Plus it has a built-in battery requiring long recharge every week which seem quite annoying to me, not to mention capacity decreases with time and such inconvenience doesn't seem to be worth +20€ But thanks for such insight, might overlook the cord and go with Zowie then.
2019-08-19 20:54
Its not bad, but its definetly worse than g403 one, with rubber you have better grip
2019-08-19 20:55
and i cant find fingerprints on my g403, the rubber is not as bad as on rival mice, it doesnt seem to brush off after whole year of grinding
2019-08-19 20:56
Hmm will reconsider that one again then. Btw is it possible to turn off that RGB shit on it?
2019-08-19 21:01
You mean turn off RGB completely? Yeah, just turn off lighing in Logitech software
2019-08-19 21:13

+1 that rubber is kind of different.
2019-08-19 21:04
mine has 2 massive holes(both sides) after 1 year and i changed it for a zowie ecb last week because of it. for the wired mouse price its alright since the mouse is great, but wireless with this durability is way to expensive
2019-08-19 22:21
That sucks. Exactly my thoughts like for that price they better take photos and accept phone calls.
2019-08-19 22:28
EC2-A vs G Pro is the real question.
2019-08-19 21:03
How is that a question since G pro is twice the price and obviously superior in everything.
2019-08-19 21:06
Everything but CSGO, exactly where EC2-A shines.
2019-08-19 21:08
How come? It's not like the mouse is playing for you. And comfort is subjective. Besides I need it also for work.
2019-08-19 21:26
Then go for Logitech. Zowie mouses are specially made for CSGO/FPS. Logitech are better overall (work/navigation/other games).
2019-08-19 22:17
In the end I'm totally stepping out of those two for model O.

2019-08-19 22:38
got one here. also got zowie s2, dm1 fps, mastermouse s, logitech g102, ninox venator here and used (=owned) zowie ec2a&b, za13, fk2, razer deathadder, mionix castor, rival 600, finalmouse air58 and intellimouse optical in the past. probably more i forgot. aim is best with mastermouse s but quality sucks, sidebuttons suck, even with paracord, hyperglides and removed weight i still prefer gpw overall. my aim is slightly worse than mastermouse s, same as with zowie s2. but gpw is well... WIRELESS, lightweight, best quality i've ever seen on a mouse, clicks are good, shape is almost as good as mastermouse s and works for many different grip styles. amazing piece of tech. haven't switched back to any other mouse since i got the gpw, before i constantly switched and tried different mice. gpw is too good.
2019-08-19 23:19
Oh well that's quite remarkable history. I wouldn't mind gpw either but I'm not that much of a FPS power user so not worth it for me. I just want a decent mouse good enough for gaming and working in design. What's your experience with the Intellimouse? Also what do you think baout these? DM1FPS, glorious model o, razer viper
2019-08-19 23:40
yeah i get that. i'd suggest the logitech g305 (same shape as g102 and g203 but wireless hero sensor) for wireless. dm1fps is really good too, close to perfect cable, good mouse feet, good shape, good wheel, quality is great and i really like the matte rubber coating (but white version gets dirty over time). clicks need a little more force than usual. takes a few hours to get used to if you come from light clicks. never tried glorious mice but they do have some quality control issues, that's what people told me. razer viper looks really good but it's expensive. i'd spend a little more and buy gpw. and intellimouse? first mouse i ever had, can't say anything bad about it but it'v obviously outdated. (dm1fps shape is similar)

DM1 is just a crappy motospeed-made mouse, I would personally avoid it. I know they've made some upgrades, but as a owner of the first DM1 (with the 3310), the build quality of that mouse is so fucking low that it got me tilted Model O and Viper are both great mice, you can't go wrong with it. The Viper is a bit smaller though, and has theoretically better buttons (optical switches, so it wont double click after a while like cheap chinese omrons sometimes does). And the new 3.0 is alright. Oh, a great thing about the Model O is that you can find a 3d printed bottom that fits the G305 PCB, so you can turn it into a wireless mouse :)
2019-08-20 00:00
Thanks a lot for the info, would take an eternity to dig this out from random forums. The last point got me sold, another guy suggested model O too and wireless mod like that? Would be epic lol. Totally worth it for that price.

mm710 will be fun, for sure. i'll preorder it. (also backed ninox astrum on kickstarter, let's see) but coolermaster quality.. i don't trust it. glorious uses coolermaster factory for their mice and quality sucks.

I'm still waiting for my Model O to arrive, but from what I've read they did fix the tooling for the second batch, so at least there's that. I've been "fooled" so many times with small manufacturers, where the mice would be theoretically perfect but, in real life, the build quality and QC would be a fucking disaster. Ninox (faulty Aurora), Nixeus (sticky clicks, shell problem), Dreammachines (low build quality overall, sides would flex and click mouse4 when I pressed it), Newmen, Coolermaster (even though it's not small, the CM Recon was fucking trash), you name it. I hope it won't happen with Glorious.

The G603 LightSpeed weighs in at 112.3 grams with a single AA battery installed, or 135.7 grams with two AA batteries installed Pretty heavy mouse, if u want wireless go for logitech g305 or gpro. Or if you dont care about wireless and want the best shape go for zowie.

Im not sure if the za13 also has that annoying scroll jump bug that the ec2-a and fk2 also have, but Im glad I switched from my FK2 to the Divina S2 with 3360 Sensor. I think the S1 Divina might be something for you since its bigger than the S2

Everything on zowie's mice is pretty bad except their shapes, logitech has better buttons and scrollwheel but they aren't as reliable as zowie

I've had ZA11 for almost 2 years now. First I got a EC1-A, side button stopped working in a week, so I returned it and got the ZA. Then after like 8 months, the MB1 started acting weird so I returned that aswell and got a new ZA11. So this is my second warranty replacement already that I'm using right now, while my trusty Logitech G400s served me for years without problems before that.

Sure you would. Even if you had medium wage, you would go for that mouse ;) I understand people that don't have that many money/ big hands picks something else
2019-08-20 16:38
I know its off-topic and the brand doesn't match your taste, but still, it's a valid argument. I've had a Razer Abyssus for about 5 years or more. Never had problems besides with the cleaning (i have sweaty hands so it gets nasty quickly). He's old but still performs like a beast. My hand grip is the claw one and it fits amazingly well, definitely a good and well-rounded mouse.
2019-08-19 22:39
Haha you brought me memories. I used to have that one too. I got it for free with a laptop and it lasted like 3 years. But despite I got used to it the size is too small for me and as you mentioned more suitable for claw grips, not mine.
2019-08-19 22:44
DM1FPS, glorious model o, razer viper. All superior over za11.
2019-08-19 22:47
You know what, these might be the missing link for my deciding. What are they superior with? I'm not familiar with the first two at all. Although I'm kinda digging the model O, I'd be worried for dust falling inside lol which could affect the life of it I guess? Also is it possible to turn off that lighting?
2019-08-19 23:09
All have better sensors, clicks, wheel and a cord that feels wireless. The za11 shape is good however shape is subjective of course it's just that others do everything better as an overall package. I personally own a za12, glorious model o and dm1fps and about 10 other mice. My favorite is the dm1 fps.
2019-08-19 23:32
Cool, you sound convincing lol. But what about my last two questions? Since you own (and used them I guess) them you're the perfect one to ask.
2019-08-19 23:46
I can't see dust being an issue to any mice Tbh, the only issue I had with the glorious model o was the gloss which I ended up rubbing off, I just found it slippery. Yeah you can turn off the leds. Just remember shape is up user and for me it took me like 15 mice to find what I like. The model O takes similar form to the fk1 but it's just vastly superior to it, especially the clicks and scroll wheel, the scroll wheel is pretty much perfect. The only reason why I don't like the ZA12/FK/S2 is because the front flares out, with my grip it gets in the way which the reason why I main the dm1 fps because it's quite straight at the front. But that's me.
2019-08-20 00:01
Glad to hear that, my local eshop is going to restock the matte one in about two weeks, so I guess that would be the best bang for the buck. Do you have any experience with the Viper? Razer is known for its shitty reliability and unpleasant software. Yeah very true. I can tell that for me the model O's shape is basically a perfect combination of all the previous mice I owned put into quite a cool body. No wonder I laid my eyes on it.
2019-08-20 00:15
No I don't but it's light, slightly smaller than the model o and some seem to prefer it over the model o. You can login razer software as guest set settings and delete it. Not sure about build quality, it does have rubber grips which fallen off on some mice Eg, steelseries.
2019-08-20 00:11
well I prefer a bigger size so that only adds up to go for model o. Yeah I've never liked those rubber grips on mice, imo not very practical.

em idk your grip style but i would recommend you try some symmetrical mouse before you decide changing from egro mouse. Another thing is even you decided to buy a symmetrical mouse i would recommend razer viper over Model o, model o is pretty good but the coating is bad, which is bad for sweaty hands, the viper comes with side grips. The only downside of the viper would be the software (razer drivers are fucking bloatware), and the weight. (iirc its more heavier than the model o)
2019-08-20 00:39
I have the palm one, so far used only symmetrical ones. I guess you mean that glossy one, that would be surely bad coating but I just checked out my local eshop and they're gonna restock model O with a matte coating which seems to be just perfect. Yeah, that's why I don't want anything from razer.

Zowie mice are amazing but you kind of have to get a paracord
2019-08-20 00:29
Bro if you palm, go full ZA11 or ZA12 (i own one) , i have like 19.5 / 10 hands, it fits like a glove, don't go on ZA11 if you have same or smaller hands. Ofc Logitech is top notch in terms of clicks, sensor, life span ,etc, but the diff between them is huge in terms of comfort / shape for a palm gripper. Take that ZA12 you'll thank me later. I use it for the past 2.5, looks as good as out of the box, clicks are crisp (but more stiff compared to your average mice but for me that's a plus, i never ever accidentally clicked using it). Good luck !
2019-08-20 14:37
Thanks for suggestion but after all a few guys here convicted me to go for Glorious model O, which basically combines the best features from existing mice and adds few more. So I ordered matte black one with prolonged 5 years warranty, all that only for 55€.
2019-08-20 15:30
Great choice, Model O is top notch for it's price, but it think you could benefit more from the ZA shape compared with the Model O's one :). I had the FK2 in my hand, is not a bad choice either but it's not as good as the ZA. Hope you will enjoy it and "wreck some noobs" with it :D

zowie is better if your main focus is gaming logitech is better if you want a good all around mouse (good for gaming, productivity, etc)

2019-08-23 17:14
ha nice, how long do you have it, anything you don't like about it?
2019-08-23 17:17
ive had it for about a month now, and no its pretty much a perfect mouse. you cant feel the holes on your hand, its lightweight, rgb, good scrollweel, buttons are solid, sensor is perfect. the only thing that i could really say is bad about it is the dpi button, its kinda weird but that might be a problem with only my mouse. honestly a good mouse though, and super cheap so worth it
2019-08-23 17:21
Cool, Im only worried about stuff or dust falling inside of the mouse. Yeah it's a steal untill some major twitch streamer won't partner with them and then it will be twice the price.
