well my cloud 2 werent as good as they were when i bought them anyways. The mic became complete shit with an echo and buzzing sound, and i couldnt hear that well because they headphones themselves were completely fucked. Also alot of earrape and the muffs on the headphones keep falling so i had duck tape on them.

For the price theres nothing beating it , they're too cheap. They are much worse than dedicated headphones obviously , but they aint that much worse than the Cloud2's or Alphas , i think they're all a bit better than the G430's but not by much. And by the way , don't believe idiots who recommend you GAMING Sennheiser headsets , they're full of shit they dont know what they're talking about. If you can spend a bit more money go for the Shure SRH-840 , then buy a separated mic , and a cheap usb dacamp , but if you just wanna have fun with CS , buy the Stingers or the G230's and don't look back.

Flag checks out. Sennheiser> Audio technica > Shure

Sennheisers are great , sennheiser GAMING headsets are nothing special you IDIOT , everyone selling gaming headsets sell the bottom of their bottom , but sennheisers charges a premium for the brand , they know they can get away with it. Sennheiser Game One or Game Zero are INFINITELY INFERIOR to the Audio Technica 40's and the Shure 840's , you're thinking of the Sennheriser HD600's , you're being an idiot.

Well, the Game One/Zero are essentially the PC350SE, which is essentially the HD559/599 with a Mic slapped onto it. A great mic, obviously, way better than what they put on most gaming heasets, which bumos the price up a bit. So sound-wise, they're a bit overpriced, but not by much. The m-40x's are great, though they could benefit from a padswap (HM-5 pads for example) for better comfort. The 840's are the kind of neutral cheap closed-backs, though not as 'exciting' because of that, but they're studio monitors, so... I woudn't say that the game-one/zero's are INFINETELY INFERIOR. as you've so eloquently put it, even though they might lag behind in overall sound quality. The mic can balance it out, so for people too lazy to go and get a separate mic, they're not bad choice. Also, if you're looking for a great value pair of headphones, check out the Koss KPH30i.

agreed

I agree also #12 explains it well. Not everyone is a audiophile or have enough powerful soundcard/amp to run those headsets, op also have a 50$ budget.
