Not that big, but i bought game just 2 or 3 weeks after release, so i know game from very beginning. steamcommunity.com/id/Munssin/ - my profile
2019-08-20 16:46
imagine the money you'd be making if you had studied that much to get into a top school
2019-08-20 16:46
because education = money?
2019-08-20 16:48
usually yes?
2019-08-20 17:15
So why are there so many people who have high level degrees and multiple level 3 and further education qualifications who are nearly homeless????
2019-08-21 22:14
there arent
2019-08-22 00:37
they work at mcdonalds
2019-08-22 00:40
maybe voluntary, i know a shit ton of young academics who found a good job weeks after graduating uni
2019-08-22 00:41
What's a 'good job' salary? Also remember a lot of these 'academics' will be paying off student loans for the rest of their lives
2019-08-22 09:55
not everyone pays a shit ton of money to study in a university
2019-08-22 13:11
Of course not but still a lot do, but what do you consider a good salary for someone coming out of uni? Just curious as I earn what I consider to be a good salary and have colleagues who went to uni on the same wage as me. I know I may have different circumstances but I don't think uni makes much difference to the majority
2019-08-22 23:20
heavily depends on what u studied/what field you work in but probably around 70k
2019-08-23 00:08
you would consider 70k a good salary, you clearly dont know what you are talking about the average peak salary in the UK is about 35k, my father for instance make 55k a year, thats a good salary, you can live off of that very easily, im 21 and i make about 27k, given my age that actually a very good salary considering its in an apprenticeship.
2019-08-23 01:00
um .. we are talking about the salary and not about net income.. do you know the difference?
2019-08-23 01:25
Yeah no shit, im talking about salary the average peak salary in the UK is about 35k, ans the average person who goes to uni only makes just under a few hundred thousand in their life at most and then when you take away the cost of it, the difference is so small. Salary is what you are paid from your employer.
2019-08-23 01:28
oh what i meant is what you would have been paid without income and social taxes
2019-08-23 01:35
Yeah thats salary, then that gets taxed, 34k is what most people peak at, after tax its in the 20s, my father makes 55k a year, 65 if he works enough overtime, after tax thats 36-40k he takes home, 70k is actually not that good, you get taxed 40% on it. The fact is companies are more interested in you than the paper work you have, i have 4 level 2 qualifications, my apprenticeship said it required level 3's, i applied and i got it because i passed the competency test and i was the most eager and motivated.
2019-08-23 01:41
okay then tell me how do i get a big company to invite me to their interview? do you really think they give everyone a chance?
2019-08-23 01:42
No they dont give everyone a chance, but heres the best way, get them to contact your college, if your tutors have good things to say about you they will often give you a chance. I went to to an EBD, i had the poorest grades in my college class, i missed about 4 years of education, my paper work said i was the dumbest one in the class, in reality i wasnt i was actually pretty much the smartest and i learned the fastest, if they see things like that then they will give you a chance and if a company only cares about the paper work you bring you dont want to work for them. A good company cares about you.
2019-08-23 01:45
Heres the actual reality, people who go to uni only earn about an extra few hundred thousand in about 50-60 years, thats not really that much when you think about it and many of them dont earn anymore than the people who didnt, its not about education, its about your drive, your passion, your will to listen and learn and the experience you have.
2019-08-23 00:58
you are aware that you need a masters for most non trivial jobs right?
2019-08-23 01:26
Thats not true, that is infact a flat out lie. Ill give you an example, my friend work for a company that manufactures and designs military grade weapons, cameras and other technologies, thats far from trivial, he didnt go to uni. They also deal with prototypes, thats not trivial, so you should actually learn something before you type. I also have another friends who helps design cars and ways to make them more fuel efficient, he works especially on the aerodynamics side, thats not trivial at all, he didnt go to uni, he did a level 2 at college then got an apprenticeship. My father, hes 59, hes worked on everything from just wiring up building to maintaining aircraft carriers and other military vessels when it comes to their electrics and also installing other systems on them and testing those systems, thats not trivial, he never went to uni.
2019-08-23 01:34
well he must have been well connected then otherwise good luck getting into well paid jobs in the pharmaceutical industry or financial industry without a degree
2019-08-23 01:34
No, they arent. You just dont know what you are talking about. There was a guy at my college who only did level 2, hes currently doing an apprenticeship with the Mercedes F1 team, he barely passed his GCSE's and he still hasn't gone to uni or done level 3.
2019-08-23 01:36
im sorry to burst your bubble but yes this is how it is
2019-08-23 01:36
You just need to put yourself out there, no one is going to do you any favors, you want these companies to notice you you make yourself noticed, they aren't looking for you you are looking for them. I'm not earning the kind of money this other guy is talking about but I think I work in a much more reachable industry and education really doesn't matter its more about common sense and the right attitude, we get plenty of people from uni come and go because they can't handle it. I work in airline cargo allocation and weight and balance

If he'd used his chance and invested even just 1k $ in Kato 2014 stickers he would've earned much more than a top school education would've given him.

In steam money my friend
2019-08-20 23:47
You can sell your items on different cash out sites like bitskins, usually (but not always) with a 25-35% discount plus the site’s fee for selling which is 1-15% depending on the site. And then u’ll have to pay a 2% fee to cash out to PayPal. Titan holo from Katowice 2014 is worth $7000-$8000 there. I still have a screenshot from 2014 where it’s approximately 60 cents. Similar situation with some other holo stickers. In today’s prices he would’ve gotten at least 500 times more, on average 3000 times more and at most 20000 times more than he invested. After the discount and all the fees that’s about $300k-$12 m. Most likely he would’ve earned 2-5 million dollars.

been playing since 2014 and i must the current system is VERY MUCH FLAWED i barely play mm but i used to play with low rank friends and would win 3-4 games in a row, lose one and derank on the other hand play with high ranked friends (globals) get a draw and a win and up rank even though i had losses before so basically if you can get some globals to play with you will get global pretty easily if you can actually play for it
2019-08-21 20:12
an icon in game is useles yes but it shows that you improved and thats why i like games with ranking system even tho like perhan said the system is flawed

There are 44000 hours in 5 years. I will likely have spent 5.5k of those playing CS by the time i get my 5 year coin. I will likely have spent 15.5k hours sleeping in those 5 years. That leaves me with 23000 hours every year spent on other things than videogames. So yes, i do in fact have a real life.

Played it since beta and then preordered it, though for some reason not all the playtime got recorded and stopped at 50 hours (anyway played less than 250 probably and some other 200/300 on an alt) game was broken af back then and when it somewhat stable I didn't find it entertaining enough to play anymore so I just been following some of the pro stuff (._.')
