USA food

Hello HLTV fellows, I'm in USA currently and I struggle really hard finding good food. I mean good vegetables, quality meat, etc ... In supermarkets I only find tasteless industrial stuff. Even organic fruits/vegetables are hybrid F1 shitty things. Where should I go to find quality products?

After several disappointments in diverse supermarkets I went to whole food but still it's calibrated vegetables. They have better stuff than average places in US but I'm still disappointed. I might try trader joes if I find one close

That's sad to know that a huge proportion of the richest population in the world is eating garbage everyday. But maybe good producers/providers will grow years after years if people start to realize that quality food = quality life

Hybrid F1 seeds growing all the exact same (the "non calibrated" shapes are directly thrown away). In the end it's tasteless and the texture is bad and it's just full of water.

I still don’t know what you mean by “non calibrated” plants

Most of the vegetables you find in supermarket nowadays (since the 70's I guess) are from new type of seeds designed for mass production and profits. It's usually fast growth super regular vegetables. In the end you have good-looking vegetables, big and regular size, with bright colours, no stain or whatever and they all look the same in the rack. But inside it's just tasteless water because it grew too fast. We find more and more of these in European supermarkets (and even local markets) but people are well aware about it and only uneducated people buy them. And here in US I only find this type of F1 hybrid calibrated vegetables. PS: I've been there for only a few days so it's just my personal experience, not a well documented/studied thing, that's why I ask for advice

farmer's market. everything in US and most parts of canada is just overprocessed shit. in an average american household you will notice that every fucking thing they eat has corn syrup and other additive shit in it.

Farmers markets / local high traffic supermarkets for vegetables (ask around). Most people in America shop at multiple supermarkets and not just 1. There are very few places that get everything "good". You should also be able to find a local butcher / meat shop for good cuts of meat. The more wealthier the area the more specialty shops there will be (butchers, bakeries etc).
