DCJ, a type of longjump technique that allows you to jump further, perfectly possible on default settings World Records have been detected ever since 2003, the invention of KZ, and today the polish player memek beat the 274 block, maybe not that big of an achivement nowadays, but still insane considering the history of longjumps and that they barely change over the years due to how hard it is to get some more. He probably spent countless hours into it. The edit is also very nice, enjoy.

BEAUTIFUL. I used to binge watch kz movies, it was sick! I can't do it like these guys tho they're insane. Happy xtreme jumps still alive they are why I know how to do both red rock jump on nuke I love the models too it gives that 2019 twist to it

what it should be useful for? KZ is a mode on its own, its not supposed to be used in classic CS or other. Being able to click on heads is also useless in KZ you know. :D

It was but KZ in itself is not meant to help you to be better in pugs (although it was much more useful than it is in CS:GO) but still, it was meant to use that movement to beat kz maps, world records n such, not really to gain advantage in pugs.

only on 100aa (10aa too but quite unlikely to be landed on a block ever) 100aa is illegal setting that gives you quite some advantage, basically cheating if you submit a demo like that

yeah 100aa is kind of a meme in 1.6 kz. or in general to jump on such settings. People would usually laugh at the so-called "good players" on 100aa hns, but many don't know the history of it, hence why it became popular at one point. :D

sv_airacceleration 100, just like we have sv_gravity 800 100 is illegal value, the 10 is legit. Basically the game doesn't punish you as much for your movement, so you don't really have to properly learn to move within the game to do bigger jumps and gain more speed, while with legit settings, you have to be truly skilled and learn to be precise in order to accomplish the jumps you desire so yeah in short its cheating if you attempt an official world record and if you send a demo with 100aa, you will get a 6 month ban or so, very popular on hns servers , as there are more casual players there, wont really meet the "pros" though

server-side command, can be changed only by the owner of the server or on your lan server, world records are done on LAN only so they can be easily modified (but easy to catch as well)

The count-jumps are triggered by binding the ducking action to the mouse wheel. So when it seems like jumping before the actual long jump, it's really two different rotations of the mouse wheel in combination with the pre strafe. It seems like jumping but it is how crouching works if you use the mouse wheel on 1.6. For someone who hasn't ever done that, it can be quite confusing. I hope I was clear!

oh so that's what he meant, yeah these are ducks not jumps, hence why it's called double count jump, as in double ducks jumps. Ignore the "count" part of it, it's just named after the inventor of the technique, has nothing to do with the terminology of the techniques used.

you can check the demo yourself if you are suspicious of it. It's all legit settings, this is a world record after all, the best dcj jump for the past 15 years, its normal to look suspicious to players that are not that familiar with kz world

1.6 kz/longjumping was so good. good movement in 1.6 could actually benefit you in comparison to csgo.

It wasn't as useful as you might think (in comps) even though csgo default movement is much worse and 1.6 movement allowed much more, it was so balanced that you didn't need to be the guy from this video to pull off the same shit someone like ropz or electronic can in CS:GO if you had decent movement in 1.6.

decent bhopping, ladder movement and dd's could benefit you a lot in 1.6 in officials. was also a lot harder to learn than in csgo i feel like. it took me ages to get my first xj kz wr (sn_beachcliff) and it was dogshit in comparison to others, but the movement i learned throughout the years definitely improved my aiming and overall movement in comp games. felt like i had more control of my aim, sort of.

It was more useful but what I tried to say is that it wasn't that much of a buff compared to what you actually need in comp in terms of movement. Now, phoon's CS:S times were quite the buff and even a low tier kz player in 1.6 could replicate what was possible during his times.

oh yeah for sure, csgo/css might be more "broken" in terms of exploitability in that regard. especially in css with the flashboost and 300 km/h bhops.

CS:S patched out that years ago, when phoon became that popular, CS:GO is the exact opposite of CS:S, being way too restricted in comp, hence why 1.6 was the perfect balance between both, its still the only thing in 1.6 (the movement) I hold dear the most, otherwise I prefer CS:GO nowadays.

hahah yeah, that dude tried to "break" the lj wr in 1.6 as well, he posted a 258 block claiming it to be official, while he didn't even know where he was supposed to submit the demo for it to be checked when asked shows how much he actually knows about KZ :D
