DotA Prizepool > CSGO Prizepool yes, but CSGO gameplay >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DotA gameplay
2019-08-21 17:53
depends, if you are disabled you might prefer dota gameplay over csgo
2019-08-21 17:53
I can tell this is coming from someone who has never tried Dota.

I have played DotA 2, and I have several hundred hours in it, and I agree with him. It's too boring, the action doesn't start until around the 20 minute mark. For CS, on the other hand, the round will be boring for a bit under two minutes max, in rare situations.

Even if I was, I would still be able to see what's going on in DotA 2 pro matches.
2019-08-21 18:40
Well I guess you are either blind or brainfarted. Sorry but this aint league where its farm simulator, in dota you experience action even before the bounty runes spawn
2019-08-21 18:43
"I have several hundred hours in it" your 1000 mmr gameplay is not the same as TI gameplay bro where every minute is interesting especially in finals. I hate both dota and cs ( pure trash games for mad animals like me 2k hours in dota 3k hours in cs) but i can still say that DOTA tournaments > CS tournaments (lots of gg.bet esea tourneys which are literally unwatchable) and if some1 says dota is boring he just knows shit about that game thats it

I'm talking about watching DotA, so that would include TI matches, not playing it, but for the record, I think playing CS is much funner than playing DotA. Obviously, DotA 2 isn't boring to watch, but every game taking at least 20 minutes, maybe 15 each time, to take off *is* boring, repeated over a potential BO3, BO5, or a BO7 (as in that one 2013 tournament) is a drag. That's potentially, at a *minimum* (at least in my opinion),45 minutes in a BO3, 75 minutes in a BO5 or 105 in a BO7 of nothing of interest happening. I do have to say, the teamfights are pretty insane, but there's still that build-up before you actually get to watch any meaningful and tense teamfights.
2019-08-21 18:49
I also talking about watching DOTA Every minute is interesting when u watching TI for example
2019-08-21 18:44
Yeah and sometimes CS is 1,5min of aligning smokes and then rushing into a bombsite

Yeah, I agree, but that's over relatively quickly compared to DotA 2.

Fair enough. For the record, I do really love the teamfights in DotA 2, I think they're, by a large margin, the best part, and it's very interesting to see how each hero uses their abilities in the thick of things.

well everyone likes different things, but in dota2 i get catched more by atmosphere and hype than in csgo. teamfights are so much better and interesting to watch than the same 3-4 strats executed 10 rounds in a row.

so? fortnite 1st place for 1 player 3million? even more than 1 dota2 player major winner? doesn't mean its better than csgo lmao dota 2 a joke
2019-08-21 17:54
"even more than dota2 player?" 1 place gets 15M$ so every player get his 3M$
2019-08-21 17:55
no every player don't get full 3 million, still need to go to sponsors and etc. Fortnite>> Dota2 according to your logic. Also Dota2 would be NOWHERE w/o valve support unlike Counter-Strike community solo carrying their own game without valve intervention since 2000
2019-08-21 17:57
It all depends on the contract
2019-08-21 17:59
players are not obligated of paying their prize money to sponsors/org etc
2019-08-21 17:59
tbf the fortnut dude also has to pay his team a cut (500k i think) and then US taxes means he has more like 1.5 - 2 mil but still your point is correct, especially the fact that DotA was pampered by volvo while CSGO community had no such help or love from its owners.
2019-08-21 18:00
Hello? Bugha only got 900K $ from his 3 million $, because of taxes and his org. Logic.
2019-08-21 18:07
actually he got less thank you for correcting me. He earned roughly 300k which is still a huge amount of money but lesser compared to Dota2.
2019-08-21 18:13
So you wanna say, that a player of team winning the TI9 will get less than 300k $ (10% of his cut)?
2019-08-21 19:00
actually he got less thank you for correcting me. He earned roughly 300k which is still a huge amount of money but lesser compared to Dota2.
2019-08-21 18:13
Maybe, for you. I don't play DotA so there is only CS:GO for me, I'm a loyal lover so I don't think I ever will cheat on CS.

CS viewers > Dota viewers An esport can have the best investment of all time, but what really defines it as the best is the engagement which in turn can suggest quality and overall how good an esport is.

Chinese numbers are unreliable so cant be used. If that is the truth then TI9 has only reached 1.1mil so far and TI8 only got 800k peak. Far from CSGO numbers
2019-08-21 19:27
Maybe dota prizepool is richer than csgo but it doesnt means dota is a better game Csgo still best my friend
2019-08-21 18:03
it is
2019-08-21 18:50
Dota2 is all about the TI tho, while it overshadows everything else (all the rest of the year, and tournaments). Thats their problem.. but they looking for solutions already with it. Although Im watching the TI9, and its fucking amazing. It feels great to watch it, entertainment, top quality matches, prestige, fun.. It just feels like the grand-celebration of the game itself, where all go to just enjoy. And when Valve wants, they are nº1 without any competition that comes even close. There is no esports tournament that can even come close to what the TI means, and IS. CS:GO.. Majors.. is well.. stickers.. and few more small things. That we definitely should bump it up more, but some dont want to make a TI-like tournament.. unfortunately.
2019-08-21 18:04

I have 5K hours on both games. CS is really close to my heart since it (CSCZ) was 1st game I ever played. Then in End of 2016 I started Dota 2. Dota is amazing too when it comes to watching pro games play. The fact that I am enjoying watching Dota more these days is because teams are unpredicatable, while in CSGO we all know Liquid is dominating and have more chance then any team to win this major. This doesnt happen with Dota. There are plenty of teams which are performing good at time and anyone can upset any team.
2019-08-21 18:47
Dota isn't even better than LoL and yes u should perma ban pyke, kids
