Brazil blames NGO's for fires set in Amazon !
United Kingdom WestOfEden21
Vid on BBC has Brazil's President blaming Environmental NGO's for the fire's that have recently been set in the Amazon Rain Forest. He said they did it cause their budget's have been cut !!!! NGO's have been helping to protect Amazon for decades... Then this nutter gets in and all of a sudden the Rain Forest is on Fire. To make such a claim has to be the height of insanity or is just a purely evil plan to deflect the blame. Here is a link for those that can see it bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-latin-america-49..

Ahh ic, you mean "Only comment on that which is your own concern! Brazilian Rain Forest is not your concern, Brexit should be your concern!" Who the hell are you to tell me what i should or should not be concerned about ?
2019-08-22 00:59
+1 Besides, the rain forest destruction will affect your country aswell
2019-08-22 01:03
I think it will take a few years for major effect's to be felt in the North of planet Earth... How come we never hear about a growing, spreading Rainforest / Forest, anywhere on Earth? All we ever hear about is the destruction of these places.......
2019-08-22 01:10
Indeed is, and these idiots continue to support that shitty president
2019-08-22 01:13
A report in UK says that we (uk), need to plant 1.5 Billion Trees and we need to do it quickly... independent.co.uk/environment/uk-tree-pl..
2019-08-22 01:18
Shit
2019-08-22 01:27
I can't see it happening either :( We'd rather spend £40 Billion on the start of a Rail system that will never be completed.... Called HS2 I think that we are more insane than any other country on Earth sometimes...
2019-08-22 01:32
We are all fucked up, ppl do horrible things in the name of “progress”
2019-08-22 01:51
I see, i suppose... Sort of like, "If things are to stay the same (for us in power), then everything must change (for them without power) ?"
2019-08-22 01:57
He is probably the kind of person who voted on Bolsonaro...
2019-08-22 01:05

"to embarrass the government after they cut funding" so they would simply go against their OWN policies to embarrass a clown?

keyword is funding unlikely due to its scale, but I do think it's possible

i don't think it's possible. it's even more sketchy since he has cut the funding himself, if he doesn't want people protecting the forest then it's obvious he wants to do something with it that he couldn't do before cutting the funding

The thing is, every nook and cranny in here is corrupted. Starting from the actual president himself right now, down to these "do good" foundations. Money talks, specially in places like in here. He is dumb as fuck, yea, but these "good samaritan" foundations are as smart as he is dumb. Awful PR for him, great PR for them. I know it's cynical, but I really do think it's not that outlandish to say that.
2019-08-22 01:05
If true how could those people look themselves in the Mirror every morning? Do they really think the end's justify the mean's ? Are they those kind of people?

I mean, there are fucked up people in the world. Could be a single person, could be a group. I've met some people in the second category. I won't get into details because people might think I'm biased, would sound like a blog post and I just want to keep it as short and logical as possible. What I think is, there's quite a bit of bargaining and blackmailing in this whole category. That doesn't mean I agree with the president, but politics run pretty deep when you are in charge of a place like this.
2019-08-22 01:30
Thnx for the reply. I know that there are utter nutters in the world, i just can't understand how they get into positions of power, i mean, i can't get my head around that whole process. Here... Uhmm, i think that things are getting weird. People don't smile here, they generally don't talk to anyone & rarely look up from their Phones and when they do, it's like they are putting on a mask. It's strange to see, to observe it. People are closed down here.

Oh, it's a long road here, in situations like this (both the groups and the politicians), you won't go anywhere without being powerful with your wallet or your influence. If you look up pretty deeply, politicians owe some favors to some people, no matter how clean they say they are, and these groups leaders are also millionaires. Mix and match both the politics and ONGs (as we call them here) and we have something at least suspicious. Again, I'm not confirming anything, I'm just doubting humans aren't greedy.
2019-08-22 02:25
Sorry for not getting back to you before. Thanks for the reply and the info. Here it's a bit different (i think), here Senior Gov. advisers and ex-Gov. Ministers get Job's with big companies when they leave Gov. service. Many say there is nothing wrong with that cause they have lot's of experience that is useful to the company/corporation etc and also they don't get paid all that much while in .Gov service (compared to corporate pay for instance). And then a few years later you find out that that ex-Minister /Senior dude approved a contract that made that company a lot of money etc. Others point out that the contract had to go to someone, didn't it? But many think is suspicious that the Senior peeps always seem to go to such companies...

he clearly intends on burning that rainforest, even if it weren't his own doing then he would just be pretending he cares about the rainforest, which we already know isn't true

First thing that will happen after the fires is declaring the burnt land usable for cattle: as intended by the capitalists who put bolsonaro there. Brazil is run by money, politic is just a decoy.

Horrible country
2019-08-22 00:49
Have you ever been there ? I haven't but was partly raised by Brazilian students in London, have nothing but happy memories :)

It’s not Brazil, is bolsonaro blaming, and some stupid fucks
2019-08-22 00:49
My sincere apologies to you sir... I didn't mean to imply that your whole country set it on fire, merely that your President represent's Brazil, he speaks for Brazil. He is Brazil but don't feel embarrassed, we have Boris FFS ! Plz pity us..
