telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/09/09/brazilia.. "Maxciel Pereira dos Santos was shot twice in the head in front of his family in an apparent execution" .folha.uol.com.br/internacional/en/brazi.. "Brazil registered more than 66,000 cases of sexual violence in 2018, corresponding to more than 180 rapes per day. Among the victims, 54% were less than 13 years old." .folha.uol.com.br/internacional/en/brazi.. "The number of murders in Brazil fell for the first time in three years. There were 57,341 cases in 2018, lower than in 2014. The number of people killed by police, however, hit a record high with 6,220 cases. This means police officers caused 1 in 10 violent deaths." all this is 3 days Brazil gone crazy or full out fascist? This is some North Korea/China level. Explain this

idk, I heard bolsonaro signed a decree making it easier for Brazilians to own a guy
2019-09-12 14:29
I live close to the border with Brazil and my father has a lot of business with brazilians. Sometimes i get impressed how europeans like to lie about Brazil since leftist goverment was kicked out from the power. Its easier to buy a gun in Brazil, but far from all brazilians could buy one.
2019-09-12 14:36
I hope one day we will kick this dumb leftist who is in the power in my country.

In my country people either claim they have no gun laws, brazil doesnt count bc high crime rate, or they say brazil crime rate is a lie.
2019-09-12 14:40
I think in Brazil, anyone who wants a illegal gun get it in 5 minutes. The gun laws are very strict and even in this case they have crazy homicides numbers.
2019-09-12 14:46
If a invader try to take over our farm he will get a bullet so fast. But in Brazil people cant even defend themselves against criminals. And all criminals are heavily armeds!

that's your hate speaking because of a stereotype, get rid of it- ask if he's really agaisnt everything regarding what leftism did considering our shithole circumstances (end of starvation and birth of human rights) and maybe drive the conversation into something productive. your speech will only get you in an aggressive leftist 'mask' and make your time spent typing something a waste. euyrope is better than here, at least you guys should learn some empathy to improve the way you discuss it

Brazilian government official who spent more than a decade working to protect indigenous people in the Amazon from loggers, miners and other threats to their way of life has been killed. Maxciel Pereira dos Santos was shot twice in the head in front of his family in an apparent execution, according to a union that represents such workers. Mr Santos had spent more than 12 years working for Funai, the National Indian Foundation, which is a Brazilian government body that defends the interests of indigenous people. mens(((

Brazil had a dictatorship with a giant murder, disappearance and political imprisonment rate, 1964-1985, which eventually created a shit generation. Left-wing protectionist policy that ends up protecting criminals on the pretext of "human rights". It has no plans to manage prisoners or to reinsert into society. 1985-today Brazil has a lot of favelas, that's true, but it could have much lower rates if we had better government plans, and Unfortunately we are still an immature society, which often does not know how to respect others.

Nah dog , welfare aint gonna fix shit , welfare hasn't fixed shit for U.S Americans , much less will it do so for Brasileiros. If you want people to get out of poverty instead of 94 taxes , Brasil should have less than 10 taxes , instead of thousands of regulations , brasil should have less than a hundred regulations. Abolish protectionism , decentralize government authority , give Estados autonomy and i promise you , i guarantee you , Brasil will be a machine of getting people out of poverty. You have to cut spending in order to do this , so you can kiss welfare , health , subsidies , universities and most government institutions altogether one big goodbye. So at the end of the day the real question is , do you truly want people to get out of poverty? or do you want politicians to make people believe that whatever populist politician in turn saved them from poverty and misery?

Brazil DPEZRA
but that's exactly what I think. My speech was not a populist support, but a criticism about the welfare policy, because it was impplanted in brazil since the ditactorship ends, mainly between 2002-2016 and it's doesn't fucking worked and people didn't notice that shit and they keeping trying to defend a policy where the government has a centralized power with a lot of taxes that less than 50% of populattion understands how it works. And with no plans to manage prisoners or to reinsert into society I mean like even force them to work to pay the shit they did, life imprisonment, even death penalty at the worst cases, because our penal system seems to protecting those criminals.
2019-09-12 15:42
Look , i'd accept welfare if it was 1 single program for the ABSOLUTE POOREST , like , the absolute homeless and non-homeless people who are still in extreme poverty. But i'd do so with a DEADLINE , from the moment i implement it i let everyone know "8 years from now , welfare will be fully abolished , be responsible now". I don't agree with you on the death penalty but that's something that could be left up for the states to chose , sadly you cant do it because you'd have to reform the Brasilian constitution. tbh the Brasilian constitution needs a full reboot , it is somehow about as leftist as the Argentinian constitution even though ours went through far far more reforms and even revamps.

The tough-on-crime talk that helped Bolsonaro win the presidency may have played well with voters, but it does not translate into effective homicide reduction. To the contrary, it may even encourage the military and police to use excessive force and increase retaliatory violence from criminal organizations. In 2019, the security forces stand accused of killing more than 26 people in high-profile incidents in Rio and São Paulo alone. If Brazil’s political leaders can move past incendiary rhetoric and double down on strategies that have been proved to work, continued improvements may be possible. But if they persist with polarizing slogans and punitive strategies alone, then we can expect lethal violence to worsen once more.

We have to get rid of the massive gangs we have here. If they stay out there and we try to improve education(for example) to lower the crime rates, nothing will change because these gangs command all the favelas, everyone born in the favelas are committed to obey them and join them in the future. Getting rid of them is necessary, and the only way to do that is by shooting back / throwing them in jail for life.

Ok, but there's nothing of that sort being done here. More police brutality doesn't equal less crimes, it's exactly the opposite. Especially when the police doesn't have any control over favelas
2019-09-12 14:47

Man, the amazon is no man's land, the tribes and the miners control it more than the government itself. And in the matter of the police, there must be wrong cases, but if a policeman kills a bandit in Brazil he will suffer more than the bandit itself.
