Multi-joint exercise means you use several amount of joints to perform The Movement. By doing that you train more muscles. Perfect example of multijoint exercise is deadlift Single joint exercise is supposed to train only 1 muscle I.e dumbbell curls train biceps through elbow joint flexion. So what I wanted to say is to focus on the most important exercises, so you will train more muscles in short period of time

What is compound exercise if not the movement pattern humans perform on daily basis?
2019-09-20 15:39
He means compound vs isolation exercise
2019-09-19 13:02

Honestly I'd rather not. I did some in highschool, it's fun with friends for a while but I tend to hate it really fast

Do what is fun for you. I hate running so I much rather prefer to do work outs. It is just about being active

Thanks I'll have to check it out. Idk what a single word in that means other than cardio lol
2019-09-19 06:38
its basically bodyweight exercises with the purpose of progressing to harder variations (to keep on improving yourself). You can find lots of beginner calisthenics workouts on youtube and work your way up, it gets fun if you get the hang of it.

I'm not trying to get big, just increase my stamina and get a little fit because last year my commute incorporates me getting out and walking for a good 30-60 mins every day, but this year the busing routes have changed and now I barely need to walk anywhere. My legs feel terrible and it's only the 2nd week in
2019-09-19 06:37
I suggest walking, brisk walking and swimming first if you haven't been active for a long time. 3 hours is also overkill, 45 mins to an hour is way more than enough.

Oh I see, I didnt really have a notion as to how long I should be going for so I just said what I was willing to spare. Thanks!
2019-09-19 06:34
Yea, keep amount of time the same but slowly increase the intensity according to your own physical level. Always remember, don't worry about people looking down at you for doing something low intensity at first, safety is always first. Never push yourself way beyond what you can handle. It is not worth getting an injury just to save face.

You can try doing bodyweight exercises at home if you dont have much time or even get a couple of dumbells and incorporate them into your routine.
